Chicks and Roosters...part 2

According to Google Answers, the two words have almost the same meaning in all cases, and g-r-a-y is simply an American derivation of the original spelling g-r-e-y.
Gray is a color.

Grey is a *colour*.

Problem solved.

I never thought of the two different spellings. :rotfl:

We're not off topic at all since our thread doen't really have a topic, just everyday happenings.

We'd be in big trouble if we had to pick a topic and stay on it. Scary thought!

Happy Friday!

I should have a pretty quiet weekend. I have to buy a birthday gift for a 5 year old and I need to clean my house. Other than that it will be full of puppy wrangling.

Good Morning.

I hope you all enjoyed your weekend. We went to a parade Friday night and I watched the two "big ones" from the comfort of my living room on Saturday and Sunday nights. The local news carries them live so while I didn't catch any beads it was nice to see without all the pushing and shoving from the crowds. :rotfl:

My kids are off this week for Mardi Gras. I'm not sure what fun filled things we'll do but I'm sure something will come up.

Happy Monday!

Wow! Off school for Mardi Gras??? That's awesome!

My weekend was really busy. I'm hosting bunco this week so I had to clean my house. My mom has pneumonia so I was busy cooking and cleaning for her as well. She's doing well and even went to work today although only a half day.

Good morning all

Susan, I hope your mom is feeling better. :flower3:
Tricia, Mardi Gras look like alot of fun! I'm sure the kids like the week off too.

We're still busy shopping for a used car. Whatever happen to the days of buying a cheap car that would last a little time? :rotfl:
No offense to anyone but I don't like car salesmans. This is one type of shopping I hate.:rotfl2:

Good morning! I'm ready to go home. . . It's only 9:15.

It's already been a weird morning with our internet being down and me having to jiggle chords and flip switches pretending I know what I'm doing. Turns out I was flipping the wrong switches. Oh well. It's working now!

We need a second car for a while, so we went to Car max. I did the "SHOPPING" on-line and arranged a test drive. No haggle, and I like the idea that they check the car and you can return it, or trade it on another within a few days if you don't like it.

(no, I don't work for them, I just like no hassel shopping!!!)

RUM?

We've been out parading all day. We left home at 7:00 this morning to get a good spot to watch the parades. The first of three passed by us around 10:45. The weather was next to perfect with the high's getting to the upper 60's. We all got sunburned faces. A sure sign that spring is on the way.

Susan I hope your mom is doing and feeling better.

Joanne I hear you on the car shopping. :sad2: We bought Kelsie a car for Christmas and I'm glad we won't be in the market for another one for a few years.

Good morning!

I'm glad you were able to see the parades Tricia. We used to have a big Mardi Gras parade here in town but they outlawed it a few years back because it got out of hand. It's so sad.

I'm glad you all saw the parades and had fun. Mardi Gras sounds like a blast!

Good morning all :hippie:

Good Morning

We got Kelsie a Nissan Sentra. I still don't think I'll ever stop worrying about my child driving but must admit that it does come in handy. She turned 17 in December so it was a combo Birthday/Christmas gift.

Yesterday we went to my nephew's baseball game and froze our hiney's off. It's the darn wind that wouldn't stop blowing. The temps were in the low 60's so you'd think it would be a beautiful day...........Not. The sun wasn't out and the wind was blowing like crazy. The kids were wrapped in a blanket that I keep in the car. I'm sure all the people who live up north (Joanne) wouldn't have thought it was cold at all.

I would have been freezing right along with you. Heck, I'm freezing now and it's supposed to be in the 70's today.

Happy Thursday!

I had my Bunco group at my house last night and made lasagna in the crock pot. Turned out pretty good!
