Chicken Noodle Soup

DH started feeling sick at work today and came home with a 101.4 fever so I made homemade chicken noodle soup for him.

I don't like homemade chicken noodle soup. He said it's great. It tastes good ... I just don't like it. Am I wierd? I prefer the cup o' soup chicken noodle ...

Oh ... and I am making him go to the doctor tomorrow AM for a Flu test. Not worth the risk with a toddler and us TTC (and in the two week wait right now.)

I actually hate chicken noodle soup. I like Lipton's in the box but very rarely. My mom used to make it all the time and the running joke in our family is that she used the beaks and claws. I would starve before I ate it.

I make chicken and rice. I like it lots more than chicken and noodle and it tastes better as leftovers too. Rats, now I feel like soup.

I love chicken soup as long as it's *my* chicken soup. It's easy to make and so tasty. I find that the trick is to use a canned chicken stock, not my own, and keep the chicken pieces small and dice the veggies. I don't like to see huge chunks of carrots and celery. Also, I cook my noodles separately, then add them at the end of cooking. My secret ingredient is pepper, lots of it. If chicken noodle soup is not seasoned well, it *is* yucky.

I *love* chicken noodle soup of all kinds, ranging from homemade to Lipton to ramen. I love it when homemade chicken noodle soup is made with those really fat noodles.

My mom, whom I love so much pressurizes(sp?) a whole chicken and separates the broth, etc.

The soup is so great, the process is disgusting.

I love the lipton stuff. The campbells stuff is so greasy now (maybe it has always been and I just never noticed)

In my homemade soups, and noodles I use chicken base, in with the stock/broth. I buy it at the Pennsylvania Dutch market--It makes it a bit more flavorful.
