Heading to Wrigley for all the Championship celebration with both series~ Life is good
"make up" for 2016? lol....ok. There's 25 weeks to go, nobody is going to be at their best for all of them. JHey INCINERATED the ball the last 2 days and credit has to be given to the Brewers defense ~not taken away from Heywards at bats. Riz is about to bust it wide open..and I fully expect tomorrow to be one of stress and nerve's for them..but dude, why cloud today looking back?lol 1 game doesn't make up for all of 2016 but he's off to a very good start
I believe your question has been answered...in the first inning no less, lolIndeed today was much better. But let's see if we can do it tomorrow against Davies who is a better pitcher than the guy we faced today.

I understand your worries...but does everyone only value JHeys bat? His defense along with a particular speech during game 7 justified his paycheck to me. Bottom line? He wont hit like this all season, none of them will... we stay healthy, Cubs will still be hard to beat.I'm only talking about JHey. He really sucked last year and was the biggest question mark coming into this season. So did he shut up his naysayers with a couple good games? No. But he's doing very well so far, hope he can keep it up. Cubs will be hard go beat if he hits like this all season.

lol...pretty sure JHey is after that more than any of us~ guess the end of the season will be telling. Until then, I have no worries with him. I was thrilled with Miggy's calling of today's game~ he will be getting minimal time catching and has the lack of at bats to gain any rhythm..he and Jake we sympatico today![]()
We went to Iowa State and it was great! My DD is still waitlisted at the University of Wisconsin and she'll have a tough choice if she gets off it.
I think Willy is really doing great but it has to be challenging for him to have to hold back on the mound visits with Lester..I now fans may be saying get out there Willson!, but Jon calls the shots on that..at least until Jon /Willy bond gets stronger. He owes a LOT to Miggy. When Miggy was in Iowa putting in his games after his back injury , he laid it on the line with Contreras, telling him exactly what he needed to calm down bout, improve on, build on to make it in the big's, and he listened. a few weeks later June 17 , we all were introduced to Willson and he never looked back. I had the pleasure of meeting Miggy last July and he took the time to chat with us (sign lots of stuff for us too) smart guy, just wants to be there for/with his team. He has played thru a lot of pain with the back but really , really just wants to play and do what is asked from him. I'm a big fan of Miggy, but really like Willy too..it's a win-win.Yea I like Contreras bat but I'm not convinced on his ability to call a game and help pitchers through bouts of frustration. Prefer Miggy and I'd love for Ross to come back for one more season.
