Chapman chapped my butt tonight. Three wild pitches! It's the first time I saw him in action live. It was amazing to see someone throw a 104 mph fastball but he almost gave the game away.

the bullpen....gotta get in play off shape. No Chapman tomorrow night folks, (and he has blown saves) so lets hope we have a boatload of runs to not be in a save situation.
Excited Heyward is finding his bat and KB and Riz still the duo of amazement. 40 man roster tomorrow

yep...but Cahill and Wood did their own damage as well, putting us in the save situation to start with.

so the Giants coming on off their win and Jeff Samardzija facing Montgomery. The Shark for sure looking to beat his former team . I hope we have as good an outing against them as last year...ahem... 4 game sweep. I think it is going to be a tough series tho, the Giants are fighting hard to catch the Dodger's and make up for the awful 2nd half they are having. Seems like we are the team that brings suffering one's out of their slumps, usually with our bullpen. (which is what all our pitching is today, lol)Thinking positive thoughts, one game at a time, and

Nice win over SF tonight. Good to see Addi continue driving in runs, Smith looked sharp in relief for once in the few times I've seen him, and Edwards looked good to finish it off.

Really need to get Rondon and Stop back. Will really make the bullpen tougher to deal with for other teams.

Big moment for CJ~ as he said in the post game interview, that Joe/team had the courage to put him in as the closer against a team of AF's caliber, was beyond special (basically along those lines) I mean, the confidence that builds for him! This team, so bonded... it's only going to get stronger. Such a gift to watch all this happening, and WINNING!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope that Milwaukee isn't one of those let down series, they obviously don't need to win every game but you want to stay in good form leading up to the playoffs. I do expect to see Joe rotate through and give the starters rest in the next couple of weeks. Go Cubs Go!!!

OMG! Was at the game today to see us take the Giants in the 13th inning!!!!!!!!!!! Heywards hit get's the W, CJ signed my hat, got to meet , my DS got his picture with Len (Casper) WHAT A DAY!!!!!!!!!!

We were there , it was AWESOME!!!!!!!!! Quite a few Giants fan at Wrigley today, and they certainly made us fight for it. The wind robbed a few HR's...2 hit the bottom of the basket, but we got the W!
Magic # is 11 !!!!!!!!!!! We were esp happy for JHey to redeem himself after her dropped Pence's hit (and then they got the first run) Way to hang in there Jason! Also got to see most of the guys depart and get on the bus to head directly to Milwaukee due to the extra innings. Coach Joe right up in the front seat, the sun shining on him, lol.

I am hoping Kyle pitches through 7 today, give our bullpen a rest. They have been great lately and deserve it. He just won pitcher of the month for August (and KB for player of the month) and I also know he does great at Wrigley, but he is on fire so hoping for a good outing. Early game after the extra innings last night~but
