I'm crying tears of joy!Congratulations to you!!! We know how you feel!
Like Robin said, we know the feeling....almost exactly a year ago today for most of us.I'm crying tears of joy!
lol Puig negatives are allowed as he has been given a boatload of chances to not be so distracting. Apparently he improved enough as an athlete for the team to turn the other way on his antics this season, but ewww, ewww, EEWWWWW! I also agree completely on Verlander, not to mention he did not get the win for either game he started in the W.S.. Granted this was his 3rd W.S., butI guess he proved his worth more in the NYY series. I have never been a fan of his. I can appreciate his skill as a pitcher but it ends there.I have mixed emotions about the win strictly with regard to certain players...
Never cared much for Verlander, so kinda disappointed he gets a ring for what? 8 games pitched?
Happy for McCann...he was the Brave's catcher for many years and always thought he was high class, so good to see him get a ring.
Thrilled for the long time fans and thrilled for the city that is still bouncing back from Harvey.
Sorry if this is a negative Fin...thrilled the disgusting bat licking person didn't win.
it was the usual 6th inning when they started a rally (and got that 1 run in) but whatever was or wasn't going on that turned them into the Cubs with leaving RISP. They did rely on Bellinger a lot suring the season and he tanked for the most part. He and Judge really struggled in post season at bats vs their regular season's. Rookie years, kinda good to see they are human. Dodger's were gove 4 gifts of HBP and didn't capitalize, but at the same time removed Turner from doing damage( I STILL have no idea why the Cubs did things like walk Puig and let Turner hitSome thoughts:
Dodgers only scored 1 run though. Of course the 0-5 deficit changes approaches, etc, but they couldn’t expect to win it 1-0 either. They left a lot on base and got no timely hitting. No 2-out hits.
Houston hitting paid off and Houston pitching surprised. Dodgers bullpen surprised the other way. Late game wins were the difference in the series 2-1 in Houston’s favor.
It was a great 6 game WS with a bit of anticlimatic game 7. Two excellent teams. The 1-5 kept late inning hope for them more than 1-11 did for us, which was probably even more frustrating.
Overall congrats to Houston.
I'm smiling 'cause a year ago today was a blast!

I better edit to *the experience that started a year ago tonight* , lol . I guess technically we are still the *current* NL WS winner's ~maybe, in my mind, in my world, in Cub Nation......I also consider the Cubs as still better than the Dodgers as we won our WS series and they did not, lol. Denial. It's more than a riverThe anniversary is 11:47 CST tonight.
That will closest match where the Earth was a year ago... well, wait there’s leap years so have to add 1/4 of a day... nevermind...
11:47 CST
Nice ESPN video story on Springer and his childhood struggle w stuttering and his present day support for youth going through the same:

So Justin Verlander and Kate Upton's wedding is this weekend in Italy~ he will miss the World Series parade/celebrations in Houston. I guess they planned it figuring no way was he going to a WS this year.![]()
Does that mean you're going to buy me one with your mastercard?
I'd be more than happy to join you.
