Chicago Cubs fans - Rebuilding Year 2023

That was crazy. I watched the last few innings in mute but still nuts.
Mute HAD to be better than Joe Buck. Before the game even started he kept repeating how Kershaw is the best pitcher on the planet. My DH said, "Hmmm..on Planet Kershaw maybe" :rotfl:

Like the package says...WARNING~CHOKING HAZARD

Lets see what Halloween brings for Verlander...:rolleyes1 Trick or treat?

Wowzers! What an amazing game! Both teams showed so much heart tonight. Although I am rooting for the Dodgers I thinks it’s pretty awesome that the Rastros won in front of their fans. I remember how unbelievably wonderful that it was to be in Wrigley for Game 5 last year. I had a bit of a flash back when I saw those happy fans.

Do you see me out on Waveland at the beginning?:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:(but we ARE in the movie which is pretty high up on our cool Cub moments in this family)

The Astros are making history with every WS game..last night's will be particularly crazy to beat, lol...right down to Springer's HR looking like the ball exploded. It is interesting to me as a general baseball fan without a team in the race, to see the pitching at this point. It is really starting to run out of gas. I know MM park is small tho so the ball (juiced or not) will get out often anyway. I today's an off day and will help but there is still travel. I think my heart is relieved the Cubs were not one of the contenders last night, lol. 2 years in a row of it would have been insane.

also, Rossy responded to the chatter about him being the Bench Coach to replace Martinez...sort of what most figured but he didn't specifically say no, ~yet, lol. I mean, he might still have his locker, right?:scratchin

I love Rossy but I think he needs experience in the minors before he takes a job with a major league team. Right now it looks like he’s enjoying being an analyst in any case.

Speaking of Rossy, I enjoyed the interview with Brian McCann last night. He’s the ‘Grandpa Rossy’ of the Rastros. I really think the Cubs were missing that solid veteran presence behind the plate last year.

ITA....When Avila was brought on board and then Rivera, you saw a definite improvement. Hard to deny they didn't affect the second half surge. Willy is awesome but it will take time to get him there. He got thrown into the starting job faster than they had hoped but I think Hickey is going to have some say in how Willy performs back there. Borzello will hopefully be on board with that.
