All that thunder booming woke up Hunter early this morning. He crawled in bed with me (Tony was already gone for work) and stayed for a little while but then said he was going to his bed and left. I've never seen a kid like him that prefers to sleep in his bed!! Lauren still tries to come up with reasons why she should sleep in my bed!!!! Of course I never let her though.

That's funny about Kyle wanting to see the movie too!! Hunter isn't all that interested in the movie, he just wants part of the pizza we are ordering. I'm ordering Pizza Hut which the kids love but I hate it!!!
And we're keeping the crowd small as I let Lauren invite only 3 friends from school.


paint Your goody bags sound good!!! We have the HSM tattoos too, and pencils. We also picked up cute HSM stationary kits things at Walmart last week. Inside there is a notebook, a gel pen, an address book and a journal. We are heading to the party store today to see what else we can find that DD might so desperately need for this event!!

FYI for those taking vacations soon: My local Target had a ton of travel size bath products on sale when we went there yesterday. I think they were 30% off!!! They were also on an end cap of the aisle.

Rose..Christopher went to school in Dubuque, Iowa, just across the river from Galena so we have passed thru Galena many times. Never stayed in Galena, though. The town has some nice quaint shops, and there is a super Italian restaurant right in downtown Galena. Also a really cool hotel called the Irish Cottage, worth just peeking inside the lobby area if you have a chance!

Leg cramps are common, but if you have any redness, swelling or they feel warm to touch, it's possible to have a blood clot. When do you see your doctor next? If it isn't soon, I would tell you to call and just explain to him/her what you are feeling. They may want to see you and check it out themselves.
If it just cramping, they will tell you to eat some foods high in potassium to help stop the cramping (bananas, baked potatoes).

Okay, I had a post all typed out and then I hit a key and it went poof, so let's see, what was I typing about?

Ahh yes, Megan had her school walk through yesterday, my folks are in town and I've been busy, and I have to go sign her up for Ivy League this afternoon. Thankfully, she'll only be there a month before I put her over in Tiny Treasures, her old day care that is expanding is "supposed" to be open by mid-September. We'll see about that.

Given all the HSM parties this weekend, I decided Megan should have one too and she is having a few of her friends over to watch HSM2! She's very excited about that! It should be fun. I'm going to make some kid friendly snacks, but I don't have the time or energy to do the goody bags, etc. I might do some streamers, if I can find them at the Walgreens down here! I wouldn't mind getting them some Pompoms either! Should be fun!

Anywho, that's about it for now.

Slo: I got my posters in the mail the other day and I'll be getting in touch with you via PM for some times to get out to see you at your shop! Don't worry, I know you have a vacation coming up and I'm not in a big hurry for anything!

Hey all. Back from Target. Got the HSM2 CD and Hannah Montana was on sale also so picked that up.
DD won the YOAMD Lanyard/pin set from WDW. That's what the certified letter was all about. DRAT!!! Fun for her but was sure hoping for a DVC. Not the littlest bit greedy or anything.
Sam, have fun with your party. I am envious of all of you knowing your teachers. Although my kids do start later. I wish I knew who they were going to have this year.
DD still hasn't found a backpack to her liking. We did find a lunchbox for her today at Target. She didn't want the HSM backpack they had. So it's out later this afternoon for some more shopping. Little at a time is all my foot can handle.

that happened to me after the last baby was born.

i went to the doc, he sent me the same day to a specialist.
drove the kids home and went back the next day for surgery.

blood clots are dangerous.
you take care and call your doctor.
i had a lot of throbbing pain with my clot.



now i forgot what else i was gonna say.

i did remember this for rose, i took the Grant house tour in galena and loved it.

Bunchkin, Megan got Mrs. Brown and she is extremely happy about that! Why? Mrs. Brown has popcorn parties here and there throughout the year. Yeah, that's important!

She was very happy not to get Mr. Cavazos although I heard he's an excellent teacher.

Megan is excited about her party too, although, I've tried to keep it toned down a little. Just two of her friends, pizza, snacks and maybe I can get lucky and find some pompons at the party shop nearby. It'll be more fun than just watching it with me, I'm sure!

Alright thanks everyone for thinking of me!! I called this morning and my Doc is on vacation But they took note and asked the other Doc in residence right now. I waited for him to call me back about 30 minutes. HE wanted to know if it was swollen (no more than the rest of my body) and if it hurt to touch (oh yes!) Then he asked me to do some things while on the phone (stand on one leg, tighten my calf etc.) and he asked hwo it felt (not too bad). Now I am supposed to just go about my day and if it still hurts tomorrow I have to go in and see him, since Doc is on vacation until next week. (guess I know why my appt. is next week! haha)

Hey all! Just wanted to say hi to all the Chicago homies. I've been off the board for a month so I hope everyone is doing ok. Just got back from disney last week.Had a good time but boy was it hot. Oh well, I'd rather sweat in disney then at home.One special treat that we received from disney was that we were able to stay at Saratoga Springs resort VERY CHEAP. It was really nice they had to move us from animal kingdom. The rep. said that this has been the hardest thing she's had to do, moving everyone. She told my husband since he was so nice she gave us 8 days at the resort. Sweet.

Hi all! I've been busy.

BigBen I caught only the last 15 minutes of the show.

I was helping Alex orgainize his school stuff and helping him figure out how to handle all that stuff through his day. This is his first year he has to move from class to class. They have just 4 minute passing times between periods can you say Run Forest Run. His dad took him to the school to organize his locker and time him going his schedule. His first class is downstairs next is upstairs on the oppostie side of the school the back downstairs across from where he first started. I'm worn out just thinking about it.

Michelle Glad you called the doctor make sure you call him back tomorrow if you still have pain. I had lots of pain carrying Alex though not in my legs mostly back and ribs he would push out with his feet against my spine and try to do Alien on me.

Tigg Too bad it was only a lanyard cool though but not a night in Cindy's castle or DVC.

Alex had HM2 all ready on tivo just in case.

Sam Popcorn parties can be fun!!
Why didn't she want Mr. Cavazos? Maybe because he's a guy teacher??
Lauren had him for 2nd grade and we only had one issue with him all year.

For your sanity sake.....skip the pom poms!!

Lauren reminded me that the movie all takes place during summer break and at a country club so there probably won't be any cheerleading scenes in this movie like the last. I'm guessing.

Hersey So it begins. The running around from class to class for Alex! Boy is he going to be pooped the first week of school!!
But I'm sure he'll manage. That was nice of his dad to take him there to figure it all out!

Forgot to mention.....

If anyone is looking for HSM party stuff it's too late. At least around here. We hit 4 stores today looking for just treat bags and every store was WIPED OUT!!!! Just last week there was stuff every where and this week NOTHING!!! So I iguess there are a LOT of HSM2 parties going on Friday!!

I had a really nice customer (husband and wife) yesterday. The husband used to be one of the marines that would stand guard at Air Force One and the presidential helicopter for President Regan. He's framing a couple of things from when he did that. I meet some of the coolest people, and I love hearing their stories

Bunchkin - Stephanie's and Katie's favorite pizza is Pizza Hut too We will be having that on Sunday after Katie's b-day party.

Sam - That's great that you got your posters!!!! I'm here all the time, so whenever you want to come, just let me know. I'm open M-F 10-7 and Saturday 10-4

poohlovermom - Welcome home from your trip!!!! How was Saratoga Springs? Was it really nice? Would you stay there again?

HERSEY - Good luck to Alex when he starts school Switching classes will be a big adjustment for him. He's a good, smart boy, and I'm sure he'll have no problem. But like Nicole said, he'll probably be tired those first couple of weeks when he comes home.

Morning everyone!!! YAAAWWWNNNN!!! I had a sleepless night and finally woke my DH at around 2am!! I told him that it was bothering me and if he could get the heating pad out. (anyone that has met me knows i'm reallly short ) aWell he gets it and sets it up and BOOM it's broken!! I try and lay back down and then hear DH fumbling around in our closet, he comes out fully dressed and says he is headed to the CVS to get a new pad He was so sweet!!!

Anyways it feels ALOT better today, it's still painful, but it is more of a dull pain!!!


Gabriel had us up waaay too early today and now he's already looking like he wants to go back to bed That crazy kid is insane!!

Good morning everyone!

It sure looks gloomy/hazy out. I'm guessing we are due for some rain too.

We picked up the new HSM2 cd/dvd at Walmart yesterday and Lauren is listening to it with her headphones on. I think she's trying to learn all the words by Friday!!! And at the same time I can hear Hunter repeatedly humming the theme music from Harry Potter. We watched the 1st movie last night.


slo What a neat customer you had. I would have wanted to talk his ear off if it was me!!
Why do kids love Pizza Hut? I'm sure Katie will love getting her fav pizza for her b-day party!!


Tiggerrn I forgot to congratulate Kellie on winning the lanyard/pin set!!!
I know it would have been great to win something much nicer, especially since they sent a letter that needed confirmation!!!
That would have gotten me all excited too!!!
