mac Thanks for the listings. I have not seen that show about the Yacht Club. I might need to check that one out! :thumbsup2

paint I forgot to mention to you that I love the idea of basketball cupcakes for the HSM movie premiere you're having.
Lauren is having a sleepover on Friday with a few of her school friends to watch it.
She wants to get one of those huge cookies from the bakery at the store, but I like your cupcake idea too!
We're also ordering in pizza and having a bunch of snacks. And she picked out HSM plates and stuff from Walmart a few weeks ago. It's gonna be fun!!...for the kids I mean!!! ;) :rotfl:

rose, our family camped at that area in the state park. think the name of the town was millview or something like that.

not too far from galena.

are you looking for hotels or campsites?
Thanks for the info, Mac :thumbsup2 :goodvibes
No, Don and I are staying a couple of nights at Chestnut Mtn Resort. The bride blocked a few rooms out for family. Made our ressies a couple of weeks ago. We are getting a real good rate on Friday night and Sat. night we get the wedding discount rate(night of the reception).
The bride is doing a destination wedding type of package for her wedding.
She is having the ceremony at a chapel in Apple River, IL. Bride said she fell in love with the chapel. The reception is 45 min away from where the ceremony is, at Chestnut Mtn resort. The bride is planning to set up a
trolley that goes back and forth from the ceremony to the reception, as it is all back roads between the two. I still need to get a hold of the bride as of the trolley schedule, as we hadn't heard what the trolley schedule is.

Was just wondering if anyone else has stayed at Chestnut Mtn resort.

Good morning all!! :wave2:

Today is orientation day at Lauren's school and since she is moving into a different building this year we thought we'd go check it out. She's soooo excited.

When does everyone's kids head back to school??
Mine start next Wednesday the 22nd.

We start back the 22nd too. Today is a day we can go in and get any PTO stuff we need (i.e. if you ordered supplies; spirit t-shirts, etc...). I'm not going though as the classrooms aren't open and for me, it's old hat stuff by now. :rotfl2: I'm going to be at this grade school business for eons I think. It's a rather scary thought to think my oldest will already be graduated from High School & I'll STILL have one in grade school. We just found out Friday who our kid's teachers will be & I'm absolutely thrilled.
My 5th grader got the teacher I was hoping he would get. My 2nd grader got the same 2nd grade teacher my DD had, so I know her personality & it's a great fit. Since the school is not new for either of the boys, no reason to go.

DD has locker set-up on Wednesday but not sure we will make it. I hope so. I'm the one that loves to go and walk her schedule with her (yes, I'm dorky! I'm just as excitd for the kids for the new stuff) -- plus it's easier for me when Back to school night & Partner night comes if I know where the classes are. Hee Hee.

I just need to get gym shoes for the boys.

I went last night and finished getting supplies for DD & her gym shoes. Just trying to get her a first day of school outfit -- UGH...my as well been pulling teeth. It's near impossible to find clothes that fit properly due to her back brace. We had several shirts that were really cute, actually did fit her but her brace t-shirt showed through a bit at the top & it would have driven her crazy because she kept tugging at them. I kept telling her it just looked like the layered look but I'm a mom & don't know anything. :rolleyes1 So...after 5 stores about 15 shirts, we ended up getting 1. Some of that is the prints they are using this year for the clothes are just 'ick' as far as we are concerned.

Then we will be all set and ready to send these munchkins back! I'm really looking forward to this year.

Hi, Chicagoland!

Crissup....I'm sorry for your loss.

Slo..yikes..sorry you got such a sunburn! One time Christopher fell asleep in the sun for a few hours with no sunscreen on...ouch! We ended up with him at the emergency room...*not* fun!

Rose..Christopher went to school in Dubuque, Iowa, just across the river from Galena so we have passed thru Galena many times. Never stayed in Galena, though. The town has some nice quaint shops, and there is a super Italian restaurant right in downtown Galena. Also a really cool hotel called the Irish Cottage, worth just peeking inside the lobby area if you have a chance!

Bunchkin/Becky...no "back to school" little ones here...well, unless you count Brian going back to teaching classes again...next week for him. And, his grad school starts in a few weeks, too.

Hersey...we have had more mosquitos here the past few days...I guess all the humidity/rain stuff brings them out.

Paint...congrats on your post count!

Bigben...HUGE White Sox fan here!!! Hope you had a great time at the game!

Tiggern...how are things going with you? (your ankle, your kids...you have a lot going on, woman!)

Mac..thnx, as usual, for the tv listings. What is Ovation? :confused3 How are *you* doing? Hope things have somewhat settled down for you all.

A shout out to ALL...have a good day today!!! It's actually really, really nice outside right now...I'm headed back out...cool breeze, bright sunshine...my kind of day!!!!:thumbsup2

Hi friends!!! :wave2:

Did I tell you all that I bought a pedometer? I wanted to know how many steps I take in a day, and so far it's at 949. That's pretty awful when you are suppossed to take 10,000 steps a day  I'm not even close :sad2: I thought it might be a good goal to try and increase my steps everyday to stay in shape. I'm going to keep a log on my progress and see what happens :thumbsup2

Mac - Thanks for the listings!!!

Bunchkin - My face feels a tiny tiny pinch better today - thanks for asking :)
**To answer your QTD - Stephanie returns to school 8/21 (Katies b-day)

Becky - I feel so bad for your DD. It's gotta be so hard for her to wear that brace:guilty: So many hugs to her!!!

Donna - Yikes about your son with that sunburn  I bet that was awful!
**We have more mosquitoes too :guilty: - it was nice having this long w/o them.

Everyone else - :wave2:

Well, I gotta go back to work
Have a good rest of the day!!!!

Howdy everyone!! How goes it?? It's hot and i'm tired! The garage is halfway done, since it was just to darn hot to get it all done, so we will work on it little by little at night :)

The game was HOT:furious: , but we still had fun.
Remember to watch Fat March tonight on ABC 9/8C:happytv:
thanks guys

DMM-Can you post a link to the pictures that you uploaded to the window thread. TIA:thumbsup2

Slo- Sorry to hear about the sunburn, hope it heals soon.

Hi! to everyone:yay:
:cheer2:

Hey all!!!
Good day/bad day!! The boot is off!!  The foot is really stiff, and actually the little bones on the side of the foot are more uncomfortable than the ankle. They feel like they need a good crack. (Oh yeah, the good crack is what started this in the first place)
Came home. Stopped off at the post office to mail something, and went back to the van. It wouldn't start. So, had to be towed to a service center. Who knows how much $$$ that will be.:sad2:

Crissup, sorry for your loss. It's so difficult to lose family members.

bigben, watching your show now.

Slo, hope your sunburn heals fast.

Bunchkin, sounds like you are going to have a nice party Friday night. We are all anxiously awaiting the big day here. Even Kyle.:rolleyes1 His sister has way too much influence over that boy. Wish we had a group of girls to invite here that were looking forward to it as much as Kellie is.

Hi Rose, Ms. Grumpy, Paint, Mac, Donna, DMM, and Hersey and everyone else. Hope you have a great evening. Talk to you all tomorrow. (or later tonight) Have to go watch Fat March.

Great job big ben!!!
Hey forgot to tell you all the other piece of news!!! I found a card in the mail for delivery of a certified letter from Walt Disney. I've been sending in postcards for YOAMD. Wonder what we won?!! Have to wait til tomorrow. :yay:

tiggerrn- What did ya get? What did ya get?
Slo- Ouch! Hope your face doesn't peel. That's never good!
Bunchkin- DD is so excited for the HSM party. I got stuff for goody bags, too-popcorn, candy necklaces, hsm lipgloss, barretts (red and black with music notes, guitars, stuff like that), hsm tattoos, etc. Looking for pop rocks and ring pops, too. I also picked her up an "I Love Troy" t, which by 11:30, had dirt, blue marker, and caramel (apple dippers at McD) on it! That girl can't wear white!
Had my drug test for the new job today. Results were fine (of course) and I will be hearing from them about fingerprinting. I am hoping to drag this out until school starts, as training is during the day. One more week until school!:cool1:

It's a very rainy morning we are all having :umbrella:
That's good, because I don't have to water my flowers now :teeth:

bigben - What a great show last night!! Congrats on last nights huge weight loss :cheer2: I'm really bummed that it's not going to be on until 11:30 next week. I'll have to DVR it :thumbsup2

DMM - That's great that you are wearing a pedometer during your pregnancy. I wish I would have worn one when I was pregnant. My steps yesterday was 2122 - I really thought I walked more than that in a day  My goal is to raise it everyday, even it's just by 10 steps :)

Ms. Grumpy - My face (outside of my nose) feels better today - thanks!!! :goodvibes

Tiiiiiiigern - Hooray - the boot is off :cheer2: Hooray - the boot is off :cheer2: I'm so happy for you!!!!!
**I"m so sorry to hear about the van though :guilty: That's not good :sad2:
**I hope my sunburn heals fasts too - thanks!! :goodvibes
**I can hardly wait to hear what you are getting from WDW - tell us as soon as you know:yay:

Mac - :wave2:

paint - I can guarantee my now will peel ::yes:: Oh well, then I don't have to wear makeup for awhile :thumbsup2

Well, that's about it from me for now.
Have a great day today everyone!!!

Morning all. Running out to Target this am to get the HSM 2 CD. Just watch them be sold out. Stopping at the post office on the way. I wonder if my postman would bring it with him again for the day or if they will just hold it for me to pick up now. He doesn't come til lunch time. Will come back later and check in.

Question for you Tig! This weekend and still today I have had AWFUL leg pain. Sunday I was in tears. It's almost like a muscle tightened and it won't loosen. It hurts when I walk and now i have an obvious limp as my right leg cleared RIGHT AWAY and i'm still in pain in the left. I can still do everything (walk, bend, stairs, drive) it's just PAINFUL. Is this pregnancy related at all??

Thanks

Leg cramps are common, but if you have any redness, swelling or they feel warm to touch, it's possible to have a blood clot. When do you see your doctor next? If it isn't soon, I would tell you to call and just explain to him/her what you are feeling. They may want to see you and check it out themselves.
If it just cramping, they will tell you to eat some foods high in potassium to help stop the cramping (bananas, baked potatoes).
Hope that helps.
