How is everyone today?

Just a quick fly by. It's been crazy lately. I have had this leak in my kitchen and since I rent I have to wait until my landlord figures out how to fix it. It's been a month already.

Still thinking if you guys want me to plan POTC meet, I would love it if you do. (or at least help) I know that early June is crazy with open houses and the holiday so I would love to make it when most can go. I am looking at Lombard since it is so close to the mall.

I bought my tickets for Pirate and Princess party this morning for August 15th. I can't wait.

That would be great!!! I am waiting for my membership cards to arrive to the Shedd and will be renewing my membership to the zoo, so anytime. Kids really want to spend some time in Chicago this summer. Funny. We live so close to all that, and hardly ever go unless we have out of town company.

Looks like it is about to rain again here. I was at the grocery store when round 1 hit. I heard a tornado actually touched down in University Park. (very near me) My DS was probably having a heart attack at school. He is panicked about tornados. Odd, since we've never had one. He sees the damage to places on TV and gets all worried.

DS walked in the door and said "This was the worst day ever!!! We had a tornado drill" I knew he would be upset. He was relieved it ended up only being a rainstorm.

Tiggerrn- we have a Brookfield membership and would love to meet up sometime. That goes for anyone else! Also, I used to go to GSU. So glad I did not have to drive there this afternoon!
Cinderella- Hi! A WDW wedding would be awesome!
Bunchkin- I am thinking of applying at a bookstore after the move. I could use the $ and it would keep me up to date with all the new books. Ebay store- I think there is one on Essington in Joliet. I might check it out t'row.
Becky- Band is such an awesome opportunity. My sister went all over (London, Ireland, DL, and WDW, etc) with band. She ended up a section leader in the Marching Illini!
Poohlover- Sounds like a nice, relaxing M Day!

Your son and mine would soo get along. Alex has a fear of tornando's. He has never seen one. Every time we have a thunder storm he is asking if we will have a tornando.

OK I am officially beyond depressed. I have been cleaning out my dresser drawers, getting rid of things I don't like and that don't fit. Well, in trying on my shorts for this summer I have found not much fits. I knew I was lazy this winter, but I didn't realize how lazy!!! The sad thing is, I am too tired to really want to do much about it. I need a workout partner. Someone to come here and pull me out of the house!!! Any volunteers?!!!

She was always so up beat and positive. She was a true christian lady who was kind to everyone and will be missed. Sometimes I just don't understand things. Life can be so hard sometimes. Not to make this about me but in the last 1 1/2 year I have had breast cancer, the death of my beloved father, the death of my mil and now the death of a friend. I don't mean to complain but just wanted to share. For only being 43 I feel like my world is sometimes turned upside down. Didn't mean to bring everyone down. Just wanted to share.

It's hard to understand God's plan.
In what seems like just a few years ago I lost my Grandfather and Dad in just 3 months and my then husband choose that time to move out. It was a big ole shove to me to grow. I hope you did get some much deserved sleep. Everyone needs the "poor me's". We are here anytime you need to unload.

I have to deal with my first problem with the store this morning (which isn't easy to do, because my voice is almost gone). My carpet job wasn't done well , and I have to show the installer what the problems are. I have carpet glue on some walls, carpet glue on my window trim, alot of scratches on walls, the carpet on the wall isn't sticking well, a huge noticable seam on the floor, and other issues I"m so glad I didn't pay for this in full, because they are getting their balance until the job is done perfectly. Oh well, I guess I should have expected at least one problem


Today my mom and I are moving tons of small boxes that hold my samples in them. Tomorrow a frame rep and merchandiser is coming to hopefully hang these samples. But, if problems continue with this carpet on the wall, I may have to do it myself - which I wasn't looking forward to. When the rep said that she would do it for free, I was very excited!!!!


Yesterday I got my lovely knee brace, and I say lovely very sarcastically The thing is horrible!!!!! It's ugly and very very uncomfortable - I hate it!!!!! Thank goodness I don't have to wear it all the time.


Bunchkin - Those Shrek babies are so cute!!!! I may take the girls to get one as a "thank you" for putting up with me while trying to get this store together
**The girls will be in my office while they are there. They will have a tv w/ dvd player and the dish network to entertain them. They will also have games and toys to play with while they are there. Katie won't be there nearly as much as Stephanie. Katie's going to start daycare 5 days a week when the store opens, and Stephanie will go 3 days a week. The other 2 days she will be with me all day at work. I'm looking forward to it, because we'll have some nice alone time. Since I won't be super busy right at first, I"m going to take alot of board games, cards, and etc for us to do - it'll be a nice bonding time for us

paint - Tonga Toast is banana stuffed French toast that is deep fried and rolled in cinnamon sugar - the thought of it makes me do this and than this because I love it so much!!!!!

**Bunchkins garage sale idea is a good idea. Before I moved 3 years ago I had one, and I made over $1000 (we had a lot of crap to sell)

**I"m sorry about your tight clothes - I had that same upsetness in January. I lost a couple of pounds, but I think I put it back on. When I stress I eat, and therefore I've been eating alot lately

HERSEY - STephanie is the same way as Alex. We had a microburst 4 years ago, and Stephanie has never been the same since - she's been scared for life!!!

poohlover - Many hugs to you!!! I'm so sorry to hear about your friend that passed away, and I'm sorry to hear about everything else too Don't ever feel sorry for telling us your problems, that's what we are hear for I had a horrible spring in 2006 where I felt like I was drowning with problems, and I couldn't come up for air to breathe. But my wonderful friends here helped lift my spirits, and helped me come up for air - they truly helped me get through some hard times - I love them!!!!

Wish it were Friday

Nothing new and exciting to report. College DD comes home on Friday and while I can't wait to have her home again - WOO WEEEEEE Let the "INVASION OF STUFF" begin How is it that they are able to bring home more "things" than they left with.

I LOVE Yoga!! I was going to a place in Park Ridge and they up and moved into the city. Too far and too much traffic to fight. Does anyone know of a yoga studio in the north suburbs. Would rather fight the traffic in the burbs than in the city. Thanks!!

Slo - Good Luck with the carpet people. So annoying when you pay good money and get lousy service. What type of knee brace? I had to wear one about 7 years ago. My was made of neoprene and was very sweaty in the summer.

Bunchkin - Those Shrek babies are really really cute!! Thank goodness my dds have out grown this faze. When they were little we went to Mall of America and they thought the Build A Bear store was the best thing in the world!!

Poohlover - I am sooooooo sorry for the loss of your friend. Sometimes it is really hard to understand God's plan. Hope it gives you and her family solace that she is no longer in discomfort.
