Yeah rain!!! :teeth: I just noticed you're cruising the Panama Canal next year. I'm so jealous! That's the next big (aka expensive) cruise I want to take.
We are very lucky.. got a CAT 11 on this first day about 2 hours into it and have a very reasonable price..

geffric, you wil like the dells. we call it the great tourist trap.
the ducks ride is kewl. have been there a lot.
it has really built up and more than just the dells and water rides now.
enjoy it.
Hope you feel better Mac. I was going to go with the troop since both kids are going but they have been very mean ( read that teens) and I will not be treated that way, so I am not going :-( I am secretly sad 'cause it would have been fun .. but I am just not gonna take that stuff from them.. anyway, if anyone wants to play tomorrow or Sunday let me know..

I have been having a lot of trouble getting on the DIS the past couple days. me too...

Some of you are going to have trips here before you know it!!!!Have a fun Spring Break..
Sorry if I missed anyone who needs a well wish or a hug or pixie dust of some sort...I am trying to catch up but it's been tricky!
Yep me too...

Geffric Sorry the kids are being so mean:hug: I wish I could play this weekend, But I'm working.:sad1:

Debbie6221 Hope your family gets better and stays that way. May be open the windows and let some fresh air in. Hopefully with the warmer weather the germs will go away.

Thank you!:goodvibes

I have been doing that EVERY chance I can but DH had a fit when I did it yesterday because he has the "chills". He is more sick then the kids! It's brutal!

Hi all-
Got two kiddie birthday parties back to back this weekend  :scared1:
Tomorrow, Chrissy is invited to a birthday party at Orbit roller rink. We are all going together as a family, as they have open skating for the rest of us, according to the mom of the birthday girl. Chrissy has never roller skated before. I haven't roller skated in many, many yrs :scared:
Sunday, we are having a small birthday party for Chrissy and Matthew with close friends of ours. The twins birthday isn't until April 4, doing the party a little early.
The kids are officially on spring break next week. We are not planning on going out of town. DH is supposed to be off this coming Monday(vacation day) but he has to work the rest of the week:guilty:

I still have to wrap the gift for the birthday party tomorrow.

Debbie- hope you dh, and the kiddos feel better soon :wizard:

mac- hope you are feeling better soon :wizard:

Geffric- Do you know how much it is to rent skates at Orbit? I thought you might know about the place, if the boys have been there before? Their website doesn't give a whole lot of info as of rental skate price, open skating, concessions, etc. :confused3 I may have to call them and hope I can get a hold of someone there.
Oh, I think I'm available to get together with you at Woodfield the middle of next week, if you are interested in getting together with me and the kids? Tho Chrissy likes to stay in her pajamas as long as possible on days she doesn't have to go anywhere  Let me know if you would like to get together. Doesn't matter either way :)

Ok gotta run.

Have a good weekend everyone!

Hi Rose.. I think it was $3 to rent skates.. but that was a few years ago..

I am working all week, so i am not able to meet up.. I guess another time..

Thanks for the rental price. I'm guessing it's probably $5 by now to rent skates there.

That's fine we can't meet :) Wasn't sure if you were working, but you are next week.

Oh, I just noticed, I think I'm at 1700 posts!!

People come into the library to look at old microfilm newspapers to find stock prices around tax season. You can also get most historical stock quotes online now.

I was reading the boards this morning as I was eating breakfast and then the worm discusssion came up and turned my stomach :rotfl: Icky.

I'd totally go on that roller coaster! I'm a coaster nut!

Thanks for the idea Jedi. Unfortunately, I don't know when my dad purchased the stock in the first place. We didn't have much luck finding anything in his papers, either. Unless you count the tax forms from 1965 until the year he passed away.:scared1: And every explanation of benefits statement since he was diagnosed with cancer in 1985.
I am so glad I the thrower awayer in the family. I don't keep anything unless someone specifically says I have to.:rolleyes1
Green light out. Night all.

Hi, everyone!! :wave2:

Sorry I haven't been around much. I don't have internet access yet at the home I'm working in. However, I am told I should have it next Tuesday. The nannying is going well. The baby is adorable and is slowly settling into a routine. She is just 3 1/2 months, so I don't expect too much yet.

I am still working on "Welcome to Chicago" baskets for Mom, my sister and grandparents. I found some souvenir books that have pictures of some of the major buildings/attractions in the city and some history behind them. Since we are hoping to do The Cheesecake Factory for Easter brunch, I thought I would put in a couple gift cards to help pay for their meal. Of course, I need to call TCF first to make sure they are going to be open and see if I need to make reservations.

Tomorrow (the 24th) is my birthday!! party: I will be 35. I remember when that sounded sooooo old!! Now, I am turning 35, I'm married to a 41 year old, have 2 kids and am driving a mini van!! :lmao: DH keeps asking what I want to do. I have no idea. There are too many choices!! I was thinking about going to a local pottery shop. I went a few months ago and made a small cream pitcher. I would like to make a sugar bowl to match. After that, I would like to head to Michigan Avenue and go to the Disney Store. I have been wanting to go there since we got back from our trip. Then, I think we might head to the Walnut Room at Marshall Field's for lunch. Then, DH and I plan to head to a movie after the kids go to bed. Honestly, it doesn't matter too much what we do. I just want to sleep in and I DO NOT WANT TO COOK!!!!!! :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

Also, I finally have my website up for my photography. It doesn't look exactly how I would like, but a friend is hosting it for me and right now free is in my budget!! ;) If you want to take a peek:

Okay, I'd better run! I hope all of you are doing well!! :flower3:

Hope you enjoy your birthday.

I think I might be fighting something, but being sick is not in the plans. I hope mind over matter wins.

Need to start cleaning up abit since all is quiet here.

I had a very productive day yesterday around the house - now I don't have as much to do today. Gotta love that!!! :teeth:

Then last night we had dinner at my mom's house - that was very nice!!! :) We haven't had dinner there in awhile, and even though I see my mom all the time, it was nice to sit down and visit over dinner. :goodvibes

Today is going to be a busy errand day. I ended up not going out to do errands yesterday, because I didn't want to go out in the rain :umbrella:. So today, I'm going to have to ::yes::

tarheel - That rollercoaster looks awesome!!!!

mac - How are you feeling today? I sure hope you are feeling better :wizard:

HERSEY - Katie doesn't handle bugs and such very well either. Stephanie though will hold a worm or a slug. I usually dig some up when I'm planting flowers, and then give them to her to hold :)
**I hope you aren't getting sick. Sending some PD your way to keep that sickness away!!! :wizard:

Welcome to our thread!!!!! Please come by often and visit - we would love to have you!!!! :goodvibes

Bunchkin - How sad that your MIL has to have surgery :guilty: I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers:wizard: It's so good you all are visiting her now, because that will help her feel better. Please keep us posted on how she is doing.
**Have you thought of an approximate time for the DIS Meet on April 28th? My mom is watching Katie and she asked if it was going to be morning, afternoon, or evening. I told her I will let her know when you announce it.

Leigh - Things with your house are coming along so nicely. :goodvibes We have a security system too, and we love it. I don't think I could live without it now.

Tiggernnn - I hope your mom can figure out her tax crises :wizard: I don't know anything about taxes, and luckily our FIL does, so he does our taxes.
**When we had our puppies, we only allowed them the kitchen too. The only time they would be in the living room is if I was in there too, and I would sit on the floor and watch them like a hawk. As soon as I saw them sniffing around, we would rush outside :dog:

Becky - How sweet that your DS is bug rescurer :) I only rescue worms, and sometimes boxelder bugs. Outside of that - they are goners!!!!!

geffric - Have fun at The Dells this weekend!!! :cool1: I haven't been there in years.

Jedi - Sorry my worm story ruined your breakfast yesterday :teeth:

Debbie - I"m sorry your family is still sick. Sending tons and tons of PD your way to feel better soon!!! :wizard:

Rose - Sounds like you are going to have a fun weekend.
Have fun rollerskating - I love rollerskating!!! :goodvibes
Have fun with the party you are having tomorrow.

Well, I gotta run and start planning some breakfast
Have a good day today everyone!!

Have a great day today!

I am already 40, so 35 isn't so bad ;)

Also, enjoyed your photography pics! :thumbsup2
Best wishes on starting your photography business :woohoo:

Howdy!!! :wave2:

Lots of errands to do today. I wish I could hire one of those personal shopper people to do everything for me!!! :) Wishful thinking, I know! :rotfl:

slo Tony's mom has bladder cancer, and to my understanding of what I've been told is that at least the cancer tumors can be removed and there is a better chance they won't come back. But this is the second surgery, so I'm not too sure if that info holds up. :confused3 But thanks for the concern!

You asked about the Bowling Meet: this info is for all concerned parties going!!
I don't have a time yet, as I just checked with them about what they have for open bowling on that Saturday. They, like all other bowling places, have leagues on Saturday and parties too. So we can pick a time to go and bowl, but there is a possibility that there might be a wait for open lanes. But if that does happen, there is always the bumper cars or arcade that can be done while everyone waits. And of course people could choose to eat during that time as well.
OR...we could book our lanes in a party package. But I feel that this option could be pricey for some and don't know if we want to do that.

So I have more calls to make in regards to this. Unfortunately, they do not reserve lanes.
I will update everyone soon. I'm hoping to go mid-morning/lunch time. I know some leagues start early, so if we could get in after they are done we might not have a long wait.

Hope you have a great birthday!!! :cool1:

geffric Sorry to hear the teenagers are acting mean towards you. The trip does sound like it would have been fun. Hopefully it's only a stage they are going through and they'll snap out of it soon!! ;)

Hersey If you are cleaning, please come here too! :)

I just heard the craziest thing from outside.........THE ICE CREAM MAN!!!!:scared:

Can you believe it??? Isn't it a little chilly and early in the season for the ice cream dude???

 Have a great day all!!

I vote for cosmic, late night bowling!!! :cool1:
