My fam and I were at Great America last Sat. Of course it was crowded, but had a great time! Met up with Bugs Bunny and Taz for a minute for pics. Went to see the SpyGirl show. It was pretty good! Glad I didn't go in this heat It was upper 70s when we went.

Oh, Cubs in first place!!!

paintnolish- glad all went well with the move and your all settled in Where did you move to again?
DD likes to do "high ya's" too! She thinks she is Sandy Cheeks from Sponge Bob

Mac- you can come to my house anytime to cool off

I've had a pretty busy morning already.

I got up at 6:30am and watered my flowers
Then did a load of laundry
Got me and the girls ready, and then had them at school by 8:30am (Stephanie is going to the Chicago Historical Museum or something like that)
Then I went grocery shopping
AFter that I went home and put my groceries away, made some beds, put away some laundry, and then came to work so I can rest



I got some awesome news from my daycare yesterday. They are going to pick Stephanie up from school, and then drop her off at my store - isn't that fantastic?!?! That news made my whole August!!! Stephanie is so excited!!! Even though this isn't home, it's sorta home away from home. I love my daycare some much - they are so good to me!!!



Becky - Digital cameras are awesome aren't they?! When we are at WDW and I'm standing in line for a ride, I usually go through my pictures and deleate what I don't want. The days of developing pictures that are terrible are over

Mac - I'm so glad the boys are doing better

Tiggerrnnnnnnnnn - I'm sorry about the pool You may have get some super strong stuff to shock it. I hope it gets better soon

Bunchkin - Hunter is so cute!!!!! I can just picture him doing that too
**The lunch was good, and it's nice to meet new people and visit with others I have already met. They are a very nice group of people!!!

HERSEY - Alex is starting around the same time as Stephanie. She starts on the 21st, which is also Katie's birthday

paint - That's great that you're all unpacked When we moved, I got everything unpacked and put away super fast too - I didn't want all those boxes laying around

Sam - I didn't know they were doing all that in the Haunted Mansion - it sounds so cool!!!! You are a wealth of information - I"m still laughing about hom I didn't know I could make all my ressies at once, and I was calling everyday I wish we had talked about that topic a long time ago.

Kim - I'm glad your DH is doing better, and I'm sorry to hear about your cousin I will keep him/her in my thoughts and prayers

Debbie - I"m glad you had fun at the concert last night Thanks for the colorful shout-out

Rose - I'm glad you had fun at GA!!!

I don't know if my little one can handle the flight so I have been putting it off. Thanks for sharing.

8 days from today we leave to first pick up my Tyler then off to WDW. I am excited. Funny more to see him then to go to Disney.

Puppy is doing well. I feel like I have another child. She wakes me everyday at 5:30 in the morning even on Sunday.

I will be up at the Doorway to Dreams party tomorrow, Hope to see some of you there. I will be wearing my lime green disney t-shirt and my lime green crocs.

Hi everyone! Just jumping on the Dis for a few minutes while I wait for a banana custard pie to bake. Had to make use of those brown bananas. I made banana choc chip bread last wekend, so I thought I'd mix it up!
Tiggerrn- We have a simple set pool. Simple. Sure. We moved it once bc it turned out to be on a not so level area. Turns out the new area isn't so level either! Next year, I will use sand to level it, but since the season is almost over, the kids are using it as is. It looks like it will fall over. We call it the ghetto pool!
Slo- That is great about the daycare! I am waiting to hear about a job prospect and will have to put the kids in a few days before school. It will be 3rd shift, but good money!
So, regular access to the dis has me depressed. I want a ticker so badly! Ds was looking over my shoulder, asking when we could go. I told him we did not have the money right now, maybe next summer. He thought maybe if he and dd put all their money together we might have enough. What a sweetie!

Sam, you planning that DL trip yet? I did love it there in spite of my handicap. Just something about the smells of Main Street bakery and candy stores. You know you are there the minute you smell it. Wish I could bottle the smell and bring it to my house. All I smell here is dirty dog!!! Wet dog is even worse!!!
Bunchy, how was the show? DD wants to see Underdog, Hairspray and Bratz. Think I'll have enough to keep us busy after the tonsils are yanked.
How ya feeling these days? I am also bummed to have missed Surfs Up. I was thinking it was next week.
Slo, how's that new employee doing today? Scrubbed the pool. Still need to get some algeacide. Hope it works. Headed to the store after dinner.

Howdy all!!!!




So today is our block party. And I'm soooo not looking forward to it at all.
Neither is the neighbor across the street who was the other organizer. Lots of tension has taken place amongst people yesterday and it's putting a damper on the whole thing.
I'm expecting lots of attitude and possibly a few blow outs from people today. It's sad really.
We've already decided no big block party next year.




slo That's great news about the daycare dropping off Stephanie at your work!!


Donna Mild heart palpitations still going on. I go back to the heart doctor on 8-23. And I'm on the waiting list if any other appointments become available. Thanks for asking.

Tiggerrn We really liked Underdog. Laughed a lot! There was only I think one part were I thought it was slow and a little lame. But other than that we really enjoyed it.

Bunchkin Should I wish for rain for you to keep the crabbies away? I hope everyone plays nice and puts on a good game face. Having good neighbors is a good thing. We stopped having block parties here to many party crashers.

Kim I hope your cousin is getting better. Is Kellie excited about school starting. Alex is dieing to go supply shopping.We pick up his schedule next week so we will start then. Where did the summer go?

Slo DO you like your new employee as much as your college student? I hope things pick up for you.

Tigg How is the puppy? Have you trained hime to clean house yet? Mine are so well trained they leave their toys in strategic spots around the house so I get my exercise bending over to pick them up. Thoughtfull aren't they?

Well got to go mop the floors. I have yardwork to do today if it rains I move to the basement alias the deadzone.

Tiggerrn- My fave cookbook is an all Bisquick one! Super easy, using ingredients on hand. I topped the pie with Cool Whip and caramel sauce. It was so good!
Hersey- School can't start soon enough for dd, but ds is another story. Dbf told him his school supply list was not at Target, bc school must be cancelled. Ds jumped for joy!
Slo- I am kind of a perfectionist. It's the "Monica" (from Friends) in me! I like things neat and organized.

So here's my little vent...dropped ds at the gym childcare. It was this grandma and her 2 grandkids, one 12 and one 8. Ds was with them once before and said the girls were mean. Anyway, I left and stopped at the bathroom, which is shared with the childcare. The door was open a crack and I could hear the gma yelling at the girls, very harshly. The older girl yelled back, saying the f word! I stood there a few mins, and listened to them continue to argue! I went in the childacre, got ds, and left. She asked why I wasn't working out and if she had done something. I said,"Nope" and left. I am going to complain on Monday. The manager is there during the day. This lady reminded me of that part is Ms. Doubtfire, where she (he) is calling to answer the childcare ad in all those different voices. One time he yells for a kid to get back in her cage before she turns the hose on her!

Going out tonight with 2 of the other contestants on the show before the show airs. Fogo de Chao looks so good.

bigben ~ I have it programmed into my DVR

Nathan and I had a great time at Great America on Thursday. It took over two hours to get there though, construction on 294 and 94 were awful. Nathan tried the Demon, and hated it, but liked everything else we went on. The crowds were not bad and the heat was better than I had expected.

Woke up with a migraine this morning, still have it. Was thinking of going to the DVC party at Woodfield today, but not feeling well and other things came up. Figure I can pop in the DVC store another time, when crowds are a little lighter. Hope all that went had a great time Was thinking of you guys tho.


Piglet too- glad you and Nathan had an awesome time at G.A. yest Matthew tried the Demon last yr and didn't like going upside down. Last Sat we went to G.A. and Matthew did try the Viper and he really liked it(Viper doesn't go upside down). The Whizzer had broken down for a little while last Sat. but starting running again after 5pm.

Good morning! I woke to thunder storms today. I hope it doesn't rain all day. Some sun would be nice, since there wasn't any yesterday.

Sorry I didn't check in yesterday


I decided to sleep in a little before work, and then at work I didn't have a chance to post. I had a decent amount of things to do, and then I had 3 customers, and I also had some visitors. That's one nice thing about owning your own business - you can have visitors come see you, and it's okay


I came home yesterday to Katie not feeling well I took her temperature, and she had a fever - poor thing!!! We sat on the front porch and then I put her to bed early. It must be a virus, because I gave her some Motrin before bed, and an hour later when I felt her, she was as cool as a cucumber. She woke up at 4am uncomfortable again, and I gave her some more Motrin, which helped her go back to sleep. So, with her being sick, we are staying home all day today, which is okay, because I have alot of housework to do


Kevin, his 2 friends, and my FIL are going to a race in Michigan today. They left at 4am, so this is a long day for them. I sure hope this rain clears up, because it would be a drag for them to drive all that way, and then theirs no race




Mac - I don't hire out, but I'm starting to wonder if I should hire someone out It's getting difficult to keep up with everything.

DMM - How's Autumn during the "terrible 2's"? I actually loved the age of 2 with both of my girls - they were so much fun!!!!!

Donna - How was everything at Woodfield yesterday?

Disneynut - I'm glad the puppy is doing well I actually think puppies are more work than babies, because you can take your baby with you. With a puppy you can't leave them alone that much, in fear they will have an accident. What is your puppies name?

paint - That pie sounds yummy !!!! I love making banana bread, and I never thought about putting chocolate chips in it , and I'll have to try that next time.
**I'm sorry to hear about what happened at the childcare Good for you for leaving, and I hope the manager is there Monday for you to complain about what happened.

Tigggerrnnnnnnn - The new employee is doing okay. I'm taking things very slow with her so she doesn't get overwhelmed. With her being so young, I'm hestitant to leave her alone (unless I really have to) so if I'm going to be there anyway, I may as well have her take things slow

Bunchkin - How did the block party go? It's to bad that there was all that tension (I hate that!!!), you didn't want to go Hopefully everyone was on their best behavior, and there was no blow-outs.
**Have you hung up Lauren's picture yet? How does it look?

HERSEY - I'm not sure if I like the new employee as much yet Allie (the college student) has really spoiled me, and it's going to be so hard to see her go

bigben - I just saw the commercial for that this morning. I will definitly tune in!!!!

piglet too - I'm glad that GA wasn't to hot for you and you had a good time I haven't been on the Demon in many years, but I remember it not being as smooth as other newer roller coasters.
