Def. not terrible at all! she's a good girl, that loves to read and color :) She is also very quiet, unless she really wants something. I'm loving it all so far!! Now my little guy is a totally different story ;)

Little boys are definately a different story.:rotfl: Swing from furniture, jump, everything has a sound to go along with it, can't watch their TV programs without getting out the toys that go along with it!!! But we love them for it.
How are you feeling DMM?

Slo, Kellie is feeling much better, thanks. We had a restful weekend and that really helped. How is Katie? Your excursions sound awesome. I am glad you decided to go ahead with the vacation. Everyone deserves a little time away.

Rose, thanks for the pix. I am still glad I avoided the mad rush. I will go check it out once I have both feet back under me.

Mac, thanks for the listings. Not a steller week for Dis shows this week. Guess I'll have to go through my withdrawal now.:sad2: More of :surfweb: to make me feel better.

bigben, I've been seeing more commercials promoting your show. We'll "see" you tonight.

Sam, DL in the fall would be great!! I would love to see the HM decorated up like Nightmare Before Christmas. I watch it on YouTube and it looked cool. Too bad for Megan that the line was so long. That's all the cheap Midwesterners who never get the chance to see those characters in person
finally getting their opportunity for free!!

Well, I had better get to work around here. Going to try to vacuum myself. One crutch, one vacuum, two crutch, two vacuum.:rolleyes1
I'll probably hurt myself.:rotfl: Have a good day everyone!!:flower3:

Sam, just thought of a neat thing for your autograph book-all the stores have their school supplies out now, and the fairies have a line of journals out, I've also seen Pirates, HSM, and just Tink. Would one of those work for an autograph book?

Good morning!!

I hope everyone is staying indoors as much as possible today!! :sunny:
I think we are getting payback for having such nice temps last month!! :rotfl:

We are off to run errands today. And stop by my mom's house, who I believe does NOT have her a/c on!!! Something about a repair guy coming and she's afraid to run it.....I don't know! :confused3 What I do know is that the kids and I are not going to be sticking (literally) around there for long!! :rotfl:

And besides Lauren has an appt. with her pulmonologist doctor later today.

We all went to see Harry Potter last night. Tony was home by 2:30ish so that worked out great. But we still had a lot of cleaning up and putting away of things from the block party so we ended up going to the 6:50 show.
I was out in the heat and humidity cleaning out coolers and tables and sweeping the garage.....whew it was hot!! :faint:

slo Your excursions sound like they're going to be a lot of fun!!! Please make sure to take lots of pics!!! ::yes::

Sam Sorry to hear that the lines for characters were too long and Megan missed out on seeing them. I'm sure it will all be a faint memory as soon as she's on the cruise! ::yes::
Ahhhh new paint!!! I'm going to have to come check it out!! ;) Ya know to scrutinize Dan's painting skills!! :rotfl:

DMM Hope your were drinking a lot of water yesterday at the fair!! :)
I suffered from dehydration when I was pregnant with Lauren and ended up in the hospital because of it. :sad2:

tiggerrn Glad to hear Kellie is feeling better! Go easy with the vac!! :)

bigben Thanks for the reminder for your show!!!

Gotta run! I should already be out and about, I just have been a tad lazy this morning. :teeth:

Feeling good, but tired from yesterday still! And yes everyone i drank a lot of water ;) :)

Gabriel is def. a handfull! he can't even sit and watch a show or a movie, he has to do all the dance moves, all the kicks, EVERYTHING! and he's loving to climb on the furniture big time!!

You know, that would be a good idea! We chose this cruise because Margaret Kerry was supposed to be on board as she is the original model for Tinkerbell. However, we learned before final booking that she was not going to be on board, but since Megan is already geared up for the cruise itself, not meeting this woman, we decided to stay with it. I think the cruise is still supposed to be very Tinkerbell oriented. So, the journal might be a great choice. I could find stickers at Michaels of the characters and just put a sticker on each page and then they can sign by the sticker?? Maybe??

Good idea Tiggerrn!

i have 4 sons and yea, they are like that.
i can remember calling the police when the 4 year old decided to ride his big wheels and disappear, and the crank calls they would make, and climbing in the chimmney on top of the house. the fire department was on my speed dial for a long time....

it only gets worse michelle........
but, well worth it!

Happy *hot* Monday, Chicagoland!
Yikes..who turned up the heat?! We went yesterday to our town's "taste" celebration, and it was just too, too hot to even enjoy it. Stayed for a very, very short amount of time.

We did go to Woodfield on Saturday...I looked for DIS-ers, and did manage to find and say hello to Disneynut (in her lime green shirt and lime green crocs she was kind of easy-to-spot!:rotfl2: ) We kind of decided at the last minute to go, so didn't book any plans with anyone in advance. I was amazed at the number of people wearing mouse-ears throughout the mall! The store is set up so that you get the impression you are actually in a room at DVC at Animal Kingdom. It was kind of cool to walk thru the place, but honestly, I am wondering how long it's actually going to be at the mall...won't they sell those units out and have to close the store, eventually? We also went to the presentation on the DVC which was held at the improv comedy club location. I wasn't overly impressed with the presentation, to be truthful...but for sitting thru the hour, we did get a "goodie bag" with a nice tote bag in it, and the book that was all about making your dreams come true. They are offering some nice grand-opening incentives to join DVC, but I really don't think it's for us at this stage of the game.

A shout out to ALL of my Chicago friends...thinking of you all, hope you have a good day, try to stay *cool*!!!!:thumbsup2

Donna sorry we missed you. There were so many people. Those models were very impressive, I wonder how much money disney spent putting those up.

In case some people didn't go through them, they are full scale models of the 1 bedroom and the studio at Animal kingdom lodge.

Hope everyone is staying cool.

Mac How are you doing in this humidity?

:lmao: You just *had* to go say that didn't you? Although....I will tell you my little guy *loves* shopping -- I think that's DD's influence though.

She's corrupting him I tell you! He can sing the "Summer Time" song for High School Musical 2. She put that on earlier on the computer & next thing I know he's singing "What Time is it? It's Summer Time". In addition, every time that commercial came on not too long ago, DS-3 would go "We have to buy that". :rotfl2: :rotfl2: DD needs to go back to school, she has way too much influence on her baby brother.

Looks like rain is going to be rolling in here soon -- or something.

I would love to get over to the Woodfield mall sometime and check out the DVC store (along with a bunch of others we don't have here -- I'm thinking of the Lego store) but I don't have any $ and it would depress me. I'm still debating if I want to drive over there with all the kiddos before school & sports craziness starts or just wait. On the other hand, if the rumors of the Contemporary are true -- that would be my first choice if we ever did decide to buy.

Welcome back, geffric :woohoo:

Welcome back to the HOT zone, geffric. I bet you thought you just left it!!!:rotfl2: Feels more like Florida here every minute. And since we are apparently going to be missed by the latest rain shower, I fear there is no relief in sight. OK, I know. Come January, I will be wishing for this.

Hey, managed to sweep and vacuum one-legged without injuring my good leg/foot. That's quite an accomplishment. Even did my sheets. Not the kids. They have elevated beds-too hard to do. Well, better check on dinner. Salmon, rice and corn. Nothing special.

Later

bigben, great show. Suppose you aren't allowed to say how it all ends though. I felt bad for Shane. Do you still keep in touch? Can't wait to watch how it all plays out. Thanks for letting us know to watch it.

Hope everyone is staying cool.

Mac How are you doing in this humidity?

hanging in there. i grew up in the st louis area, used to 100 degrees and humidity.

i packed on the pounds on my last trip also.
but not this year i won't........famous last words

yes, that was a great show!

bigben Good show, I too felt sorry for Shane. Rooting for you:cheer2: :cheer2:

How much more rain (To bad there is no ark smilie)

Mac My dad lived in St Louis for a short time with a job he had. Yes that is a hot/humid area those where not good hair memories for me. How's the rain I heard up north got hammered with the rain.

Michele I also heard Rockford got quite abit of rain too. You ok too? How do Amber and Gabriel handle the storms?

Bunchkin Tig Crissup How did Sunday's storm affect you? No tornando damage I hope.

I finally got my shades at the store yesterday!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
I didn't need them yesterday, but when I do, they are going to be great!!!! :thumbsup2

To all our Northern DISers - I hope the rain stops for you soon :wizard: You guys have gotten a ton of rain!! :umbrella:

bigben - I watched last night, and now I'm going to be hooked until the end:) It's so cool to have someone we know on tv. Is it weird to watch yourself on tv - that would be weird for me. I loved the shirt color too - the lime green was a great choice!!! I felt very bad for Shane too :guilty: Have your heard from him? I hope his feet are healing and he's doing well :wizard:

Mac - Your boys were very active. I bet you were very tired for a long time :faint:

DMM - I"m glad that you're enjoying Autumns age of 2. Like I said earlier, I always loved this age :goodvibes
**I like that idea with the money when in the car - I'll have to try that!!!:thumbsup2

Sam - I think instead of an autograph book for the cruise, I'm going to buy a child's size cruise t-shirt, and have the characters sign that (with their autographs in different colors). Each of the girls will have one, and then I'm going to frame them when I come home (for their room). If you would like to do something like that, I will be happy to frame Megan's too :) Another idea I saw on the cruise board is to have the characters sign a pillow case (each autograph in a different color). That was nice also!!! :)
**Thanks for the well wishes for Katie :)

Tiggerrnnnnnnn - I"m glad that Kellie is feeling better :) Katie is doing better, but still not 100%. She doesn't have a fever anymore, but she's tired, and not here normal energetic self.

Bunchkin - I will definitly take lots of pictures on the cruise :) I'm starting to get very excited, and I know it will be here before we know it :cool1:
**What's Lauren and Hunter going to dress up as for the MNSHHP? I just received my first catalog with Halloween costumes in it, and my girls are excited about what to be for Halloween. There's an Elizabeth Swann costume in Lillian Vernon that Stephanie wants - I think I will get it, and she can wear it for the Pirate party on the cruise too pirate:

Donna - That's a good point about the store closing after they run out of units. Maybe by the time those units run out, they will have new ones to sell:rolleyes: DVC is not for us also, mainly because they have that 50 year time frame on it. I think we are going to eventually buy our in-laws timeshare in Orlando, which is right outside WDW :thumbsup2

Becky - How cute about your son singing HS Musical 2 :goodvibes

geffric - Welcome home!!! :goodvibes I can hardly wait to hear about your trip!!

To everyone else - :wave2:

Well, I best best get going so I can get Stephanie to daycare on time. She's going to the Lake County Fair today (I'm not looking forward to her going. It's going to be hot and muddy there - yuck!!)
Have a good day today!!!

Hello everyone...

I live around Madison, WI at the moment, but lived in Long Grove for awhile, and all our relatives are around Deerfield and Mundelein, so we're down around that area almost every weekend. :goodvibes

We're fine here. Tornado sirens went off Sunday evening for a brief period, but nothing happened. I did hear yesterday's paper wrote Romeoville got hit, but I didn't get a chance to read it.
