Good morning

I'm so sleepy this morning. The last two days I had to work downtown. I love downtown in the spring/summer but for some reason when I have to go down for work it's just not as fun.

Bunchkin- I don't know if there is something wrong with my computer but I do not see any pictures or links.

Have a great day.

We are coming to Chicago the first weekend of June. We would love to see a show. Can anyone suggest something good? :)

Yes, we are staying near American Girl Place. I gotta be near there! lol I've never been to Chicago so I haven't seen anything. I'm open to any and all suggestions. :)

HAPPY 1000 PAGES CHICAGO THREAD

Octoberbeauty I saw Forbidden Broadway last weekend. It was great.

Bunchkin I have a Canon S1 IS that takes compact flash cards. It is 10x optical zoom and 3.2 mp. I replaced it with the S3 'cause i like cameras.. nothing wrong with it and it takes beautiful pictures.. why am i rambling on?/ "cause if you want it, I'll see it cheap.

HERSEY - Alex's castle looks impressive.. great job. he did a lot opf hard work on that one.

mvazul thanks for sharing the pictures.

back to work...talk to uya later

Becky - Thanks for the info on HSM on Ice. If I would have to pay more for tickets we won't go:sad2:

You can always wait until it's much closer to time..the tickets will do 1 of 2 things, they will either skyrocket or they will drop down in price as people are desperate to get rid of them if they can't go to the show & don't want to be stuck with tickets. ;)

I know you can set it up for StubHub that the price continually drops as it gets closer & closer to the event (to whatever minimum you put in there).

Red x's, huh??:confused3

I'll try to work on it later when I have more time.

When I view the properties, grab the location and paste it directly into my browser, I can see the photo. So, it looks like you're doing it correctly and the photo is there, but the hosting site you're using (KodakGallery) isn't allowing external linking to their site. You may simply need to choose a different hosting site.

The reason you can see them is because once you've viewed them, they're now in your browser's cache. The couple that I went out and viewed, now show up in the post also because my Internet Explorer doesn't actually need to go out to retrive the photo, it's already got a copy in it's cache.

Good morning, everyone!!

Disneynut - congrats on making the 15,000th post!!! :cheer2: Very cool!

Want to see what I have been up to this morning?

From our trip in January:

Epcot.jpg

MagicKingdom.jpg

I was bored and just started playing around. I think I may just go ahead and have these made into 11x14 prints then have them mounted and framed. I can put them up in our new apartment!!

Is the temperature ever going to get consistent??? :confused3 I can't believe it was in the high 70's/low 80's on Tuesday. When I got home yesterday, it was so chilly - compared to the day before. I hate it when the temperature keeps going up and down. However, I do not want the high temps and humidity that will be here before we know it. I can handle 75/80 with a nice breeze and very little humidity. That would be perfect!! ;)

Anyway....just wanted to say good morning! Have a great one!! :flower3:

Morning everyone! I too am only getting x but would love to see the pictures for real.

Yesterday I worked at the Wheaton Yankee Candle, only an hour drive each way. Great thing is I not only get paid milage, but also for the travel time.

For all of you southern people, please come to Mokena on May 12 sometime between 9-11am. My son's Cub Scout den will be hosting "Alex's Lemonade Stand" http://www.alexslemonade.org/ at the Bike Rodeo that day. It would be great to get a lot of people there to help raise money for pediatric cancer research. This was my son's idea and he can't wait to see how much money they can raise.

Yes, we are staying near American Girl Place. I gotta be near there! lol I've never been to Chicago so I haven't seen anything. I'm open to any and all suggestions. :)

I'm not sure which shows to recommend, but definitely do not miss the Lincoln Park Zoo. It's free!! :woohoo: I think the zoo is my favorite part of Chicago.

Who is coming with you?

It will just be dh and I. It's an anniversary trip. We first got married eleven years ago on June 1st. I know I want to go to American Girl Place (Macy and I collected/collect them), eat some Chicago Pizza, see a play.....not sure what else. :confused3

Octoberbeauty ~ I would suggest also taking in some of the museums.

Just got a call from one of the Herald News/Lincoln-Way Sun. I had sent an e-mail telling about the upcoming lemonade stand, and was hopiling to get some coverage. Anyways. the reporter is very intrigued and wants to write a story about it. We are to call back when Nathan gets home so he can talk to him too!

Some suggestions of things I like to do in Chicago;

Lincoln Park Zoo
The Field Museum
Shedd Aquarium
Museum of Science and Industry
Millenium Park
Michigan Avenue shopping
Navy Pier

I just did a quick search on Ticketmaster.com to see what was going to be here the beginning of June. I found:

Wicked (I've heard it's awesome - I have been trying to get tickets!)
The Color Purple
Miss Saigon
Blue Man Group

There are a bunch more. Here is the link where I found them (I hope that works). Also, there is a dinner/show called Tony 'N Tina's Wedding. I have never been, but it looks like a blast!!

For food/pizza/snacks, definitely try:

Pizzeria Due's
Giordano's
The Walnut Room in Marshall Field's (now Macy's)
Garrett's Popcorn

I hope this helps you out. If you need anything else, don't hesitate to ask!!

~Michelle

I would suggest Wicked as well. Have heard nothing, but great things about it! And, what's your opinion of the new AG doll Nicki? I think she's adorable and she might find her way to my house. I have an affinity to anything Texan anyway. She looks a lot like my DD too!

Lemonade stands are awesome! Hey, have you gone to the French Market yet? I know it just opened last week, but it's one of my favorite Saturday things to do all summer.
