mac I did remember to watch AI last night!!! 1st time I sat down and watched the whole show all season.
I didn't really care for many of the renderings of Bon Jovi's songs but did love watching Jon!!!
And I have a reminder already set up for later to watch them play!! Swooooooooon!! :cloud9:

60 pixels!!! Those must be some super sharp pics!!! ;) :rotfl:

Donna Now you know why I have the hots for Jon!!! :yay:
Good thing my DH tolerates it!! :rotfl: ;)

I think I'll go camera shopping this weekend. A perfect reason to get out of the house since it seems like our aweful neighbors behind us are already preparing for a party this weekend!! :sad2:
Tony had to go over there 2 weekends ago to tell them to turn down their radio which was blarring music right into the direction of our house.....and they had it on for hours!!! :sad2: The kids had to turn the tv up super load just to hear it over their music!! :sad2:

bunchie, go to beachcameras.com and see the prices.
go to the mall to look at the cameras. take with you a price list you got off of beach cameras on line and go with the best price. they undercut prices

you can go with free shipping which they say can take 10 days.
i ordered on a sunday at 9 at night an received my camera on tuesday afternoon. i went with the free shipping. what they do is ship the day they fill the order. and i ordered mine late december.

I think you mean 6 mega pixel, not 60. ;)

The Canon digital Elph was my choice also. I went with one of the last "S" series models only because I wanted to continue using all the Compact Flash cards I already owned. The "SD" models are the same camera, except SD cards instead. They're great cameras, I've been very happy with the two that I own.

i see i didn't recheck my post before submitting.
decimal makes a difference

Ok i'm trying to push us over the edge. I have to get some work done so I can watch Jon.

Oh Bunchy You'll like this, Alex is now a fan of Jon :thumbsup2

Crissmiss56 Do you do dog training or do you just work at a place that does?

Hi Hersey!! - I work at the place but we have some wonderful trainers. I was 49 when I got my very first dog EVER. I am now 51:rotfl2: :rotfl2: The vet recommended this place because I was having trouble with the dog chewing and nipping. The rungs of my dining room chairs will never be the same:rotfl: :rotfl:

Anyway it took a couple of private lessons to straighten Cody (our dog) out and then when the job opportunity came up I thought WHY NOT!!!! So Cody actually comes to work with me everyday and gets to play in daycare!!

:dance3: :dance3: :dance3: WOO HOO TO THIS THREAD AND MY NEW FRIENDS!!!!:dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Speaking of camera shopping, one other item that is very important to me and becoming harder to find in small point and shoot digital cameras is an optical view finder. I find that not having the LCD display turned on all the time more than triples my battery life. In addition, it can be hard to see in the sun light. I much prefer to use an optical view finder, where I look through it, just like an old film camera. I still have the option to switch on the LCD if I want, at the press of a button, but I rarely ever do. They're becoming very hard to find though because it's an added expense during manufacture, and it does take a bit of space.

Bunchkin:

About the camera. I am a Nikon kind of gal myself - now, anyway. I have a DSLR. I own a Nikon D50 with two seperate lenses.

However, I started with Minolta 35mm's. When my last Minolta was stolen, I temporarily went with a Minolta Dimage Z6. I really, really like this camera. It has a ton of versatility and is very lightweight and easy to use. I used it on a couple of photo shoots and got some awesome shots with it. DH now uses it and took it with him to Hungary this past October. You can read a review of it here.

Good luck shopping!!

PS - I just noticed in that review it says it will be available mid-September. This is an old review!! ;) I bought mine in March of 2006!!

I have only been wanting to figure out downloading pics to the new computer since I got it last fall...............and this evening I finally figured it out!!! :yay:

Wooohooooo!!! :cool1:
