Welcome Home!!! I hope that since it's been crowded this week and last that means it will be slow the week of the 8th. Sorry it was so busy for you though. What a bummer!!! Did you enjoy the Halloween party? I sure hope so. Guess everyone else is down there now. Was it just as busy the last day or so you were there? Looked like lots of DISers were going to be there last week and this one. Hope you were still able to have fun. I'm busy this weekend doing laundry and starting my packing. Plus the kids are in the Halloween bins putting up decorations. That's always fun for them. OK. well I'd best get back to :laundy:

Hey everyone, take a look at my new ticker :teeth:

We are going back to WDW January 5, 2007 for an adults only trip :woohoo:

Kevins best friend is running the half marathon, and we are going to support him

We are going to have so much fun w/o the kids (that sounds terrible I know, but we will). We are going to have dinner at California Grill the first night (just Kevin and I) and then one night the 3 of us are going to hang out at Pleasure Island all night. There's a lot of things in the parks that we are looking forward to doing also, that we don't do with the girls. It's going to be a fun long weekend :cool1:

Yesterday was a busy day doing lots and lots of laundry :rolleyes:

But that''s okay, I got us totally unpacked and all the luggage is already back up in the attic :thumbsup2

Kevin also got all my Halloween decorations down from the attic yesterday, so I can start putting all those up this week. I really do love Halloween - it's a fun holiday!!!! :teeth:

I haven't start a trip report yet, but I will as soon as possible. Kevin put all the pictures on CD's - you want to guess how many CD's?? Here's the answer - 6 :rolleyes:

Kevin was like the poveratsie (sp?) when the girls were with the characters. He has a really good camera that takes pictures really fast. So all you heard from him was click, click, click, click. The characters were laughing :rotfl:

because he would take like 6 pictures with every character :rolleyes:

HERSEY - I had my first ever Dole Whip on this trip and I thought of you. I remembered you saying to have one for you, and I did :teeth:

Crissup - Staying AKL (Savannah view) is something I always wanted to do. I can hardly wait to hear how you like that.

Rosemarie - I only bumped into 1 Diser who introduced herself to me. I can't remember her name, but I would recognize it if I saw it :rolleyes:

I know that Jedi, Niteowl, Amy and maybe Mac were at the Halloween party the same night as me, but I didn't see them there. The crowds were so heavy, that I was more concentrated on not losing Stephanie than I was about anyone around me. Losing Stephanie, was something I was really paranoid about this trip. It was her first trip walking and she can be a bit of a wanderer :rolleyes:

Tiggerrn2 - Yes, we did do the Halloween party and it was sold out and packed!!!! I was really hoping it was going to be super light and we could get on the rides right away. The only time we were able to do that was at 11:30pm at night when most people left after the last parade. We aren't sure if we would spend the extra money to do this again, but we'll see when we go back in October in a couple of years.

Well, I gotta run and get ready for work and get Steph up for school. Have a good day today everyone!!! :wave:

Well I am back :thumbsup2

Got in around midnight.

Weather was great no rain at all, parks were empty to me but I have never been in Sept, only during Easter break and this past August.

The lovebugs were bad at Epcot and Animal Kingdom. We were waiting to see Belle at France and they were everywhere.

I have to agree with slo, MNSSHP was sold out on the 29th and it was packed. After the 2nd parade which started at 10:30 it was easier. If we decide to go again it would be the 1st or 2nd one or try for a week night.

The dining plan was great but way to much food, we had 7 snack credits left on Sunday and ran around Animal Kingdom buying things to use them up :rotfl:

Well getting ready to go to work, so I will read more later. Also I din't see one DISer :confused3

I have been to Pleasure Island with just my dh in 1994(celebrated our 1 yr wedding anniversary). First time ever at Disney for both of us! Wasn't sure what to expect then, since we didin't know anything about WDW, didin't have hte internet access back then. Anywho, we went for an evening at PI at hte disco place(I have no idea if it's still there or not, can't remember hte name) and for a short time at Adventure's Club?(can't remember hte name, either). That's all I remember of PI. I'm sure it has really built up there at PI since I was there.
I know what you mean about not losing your child/children in a large crowd. I would defintely do the same thing you did with Steph. Keep her close with you with the massive crowds ::yes::

Good evening all.
Hi Rosemarie, Sandy and Carrie(and everyone else). This thread isn't moving very fast with everyone in the World.
We got a lot done at the book fair set-up today. Of course, we had 5 no-shows for volunteers. I had to call my mom and a friend going to another school to come give me a hand. Wish people wouldn't do that to people. It's hard enough to try to get volunteers let alone have them not show up when they say they will. We'll see how the rest of this week goes for set-up and previews. They are on their own next week. I'll be in the MotherLand!! :thumbsup2

I'll probably be so worried about this stinking book fair that I won't be able to relax and enjoy myself!! LOL
Sandy, got the map today. Thanks. My DD wanted to know how I got that and I told her about my friends here on the DIS and that you have a DD about her age. She would "love to meet her!!" My DD is a social bee!! :lmao:

Are you going to Wicked? I plan to bring her with me to that meet.

Hi everyone! I'm back! We got back last night. We had a good trip. DL was great, and the wedding was nice. I got to meet two little cousins for the first time. They're 6 and 3 and were the flower girls. They were sooo cute! And they went to DL today! None of them had ever been before, so I gave them maps and wrote up some notes so that they would know what things might be scary and all. Hopefully they had a good time! They only had one day, but they weren't going to get to go at all, so one day is better than nothing.

These are my two bad days at work for the month, but I'll hopefully get my pictures up soon.

How about this crazy weather?!? :eek:

So when does everyone else get back from the World??

Good morning. Hopefully it will be a dry day today. I'm thinking I saw Noah float by last night. I'm thinking any drought we might have had is soooo history. Poor minnie she looks a little grayer this morning. How can I have a 15 lb dog who wants to take on 100 lb dog but is afraid of rain. Hope everyone is dry and safe.

Holy Moly, those storms were wicked last night :eek:

!!! I was thinking of all you guys up north. That radar was very scary looking :eek:

!! We had mild large to mild storms until 10:30 pm - that's when the big storms started. Both girls slept on the floor next to me last night - I can't blame them for this storm :sad2:

Nite0wl71 - Welcome home!!! The love bugs were terrible weren't they :crazy:

?!?! I had a porch on my room and I couldn't use it because it was covered with those things. Poor Katie was scared to death of them and would scream every time they landed on her (which was pretty often). This is not the first time we saw them this bad, believe it or not, I've actually seen them worse in Sept :crazy2:

When it comes to PI, it has changed, but not that much, since you have been. We always walk through there before the bars open up - we like the stores in there. But....we found out this year that all those stores are gone :guilty:

They are replacing them with something.

Well, I guess I better get ready for work. I'm working today becuase the owners 13 year old son has been in the hospital since last Tuesday, and he was transfered to Childrens Memorial yesterday. No one knows whats wrong with him, and they keep doing lots of tests to try to find out whats wrong. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers - I feel so bad for them!!! :guilty:

Good Morning All :sunny:

I got home right before the worst of it last night. We had hail also and our lights flickered a couple of times. They are saying more storms today also.

I am so tired I worked 12 hours yesterday and I know these next few weeks are going to be long. We have workers all over the place changing the store around.

I am posting one of my favortie pictures of the trip and I have lots more but they are on 3 different cameras. It will take me a few days to get everything together.

This just says it all :love:

The girls were so good on this trip, I have never traveled with babies and it wasn't to bad. The times we were together we got to use the baby swap and it worked out great.

Everyone have a great day and I will try to get back later, I work tonight but I have to unpack and everything. :wave:

Hope everyone survived the storms last night. The sun is so bright this morning that if my 80lb Lab hadn't tried to crawl in bed with us I'd never think it was so terrible 8 hours ago. :rotfl2:

She panicks in storms. Becomes a heavy breather, too. :lmao:

Slo, will definately keep your friends son in thought and prayer. Kids being ill is so hard on the parents and so scarey. I could never work in Peds because of that reason.

Hi Everyone!
I'm new here and am looking for fellow disneyaholics! I live in Chicago at the border of Niles and Park Ridge.
Right by SUPERDAWG!
We have gone to Disney with Grandma, Bappa, Mom, Dad, Daughter and Uncle every year since my daughter was born in 2002. She is tall enough for more rides now! She is 3 (turning 4 in November)and is 41 inches tall so this next trip will let us go on more rides. We go to WDW October 11th for an EIGHT night stay at the Grand Floridian and I CAN NOT WAIT!!!! My son (who will be on his first vacation)will turn ONE there on the 12th and my parents will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary there on the 15th. I can not get enough of that place! I wish I could go more than we already do.

It's so refreshing to talk to other people who are crazy about the place like we are. There are so many who don't understand!

I'm rambling...I apoligize. I am new to the boards and new to chat rooms so I will have to keep learning as I go...... Thanks for listening to me ramble on!
