We're 3 hours straight west of DT Chi-Town in the prime farmland of NW Illinois. DH, Me, DS-19, and DD-16 have been going to WDW for about 10 years now. Our last trip was June/July 06, next trip Jun 07. A big HELLO to our fellow Illinois DISers

Tony was able to make the trip! He arrived on Friday just in time to join us at the Liberty Tree Taven. It was Lauren's 9th b-day on Friday, so she was very happy her dad was able to join us! It was a secret to both the kids though, they had no idea DH was going to join us. We were already seated and eating when he finally got there.


I hope that everyone we sent postcards to received them. I'm always afraid those things will get lost in the mail!!!

WELCOME HOME~~ Got goosebumps reading about Tony! That's great!!!

No postcard yet but, yesterday was a postal holiday. Maybe tomorrow. Thanks in advance! Kelly could use that right about now.

When we did CRT lunch, back in June, the Fairy Godmother walked around the tables for pics and autographs. You had a better Cindy then we did. Ours was kinda scary/creepy-looking. No offense to Meg Ryan but, she looked like her, but scary.

You got some really cool characters - the Aladdin group (my BRO would've DIED for that-Jasmine, actually!!!!), Lilo & Stitch, Christopher Robin, and the DWARVES!!!! WOW!! Thanks again for taking the time to share.

What a wet morning today - I guess I'm driving Steph to school this morning . In case you all didn't see the weather, we have a freeze warning tonight. So if you have any plants that you love - bring them in or cover them up

Thanks for the compliments on my final installment of my TR!!!

geffric - Steph isn't liking fall soccer because she just made the cut to get into the older league, and therefore she is playing with 3-5th grade kids, which are mainly boys. She's so little and small next to them. She naturally isn't the best player, so therefore she doesn't play as much as the other kids. The coach has never, ever given her a chance to be goalie, which she loves. She's just plain unhappy I told her we aren't doing fall soccer next year and she said - THANK YOU!!!! It's to bad that she's not in the younger league like she was for Spring soccer, because she LOVED that.

Leigh - Reading your story about you falling into the oven door made we wince with pain. I bet that hurt!!!

disneymama73 - Hi there!!

Rosemarie - If I don't talk to you, good luck to Chrissy, and you, at Children's tomorrow. Sending lots of PD your way for an easy day Let us know how everything went.
**Matthew being a pirate for Halloween sounds like a lot of fun!!!

Sam - I'm sorry soccer stinks for you right now too When is your season over. Ours technically is Tuesday, the 17th, but Stephanie has CCD that night and won't be able to go. So for us, it's this Saturday Her coach said that he's putting together some tournaments to extend the season, but I'm going to tell him to count us out because of to many other commitments.

I am freaking out! I stress WAY too much before I leave. I think I hate travel day the most. Once I am there I am totally great (for obvious reasons) but WOW do I get nervous. I have hardly slept. I'm worried now all our bodies and luggage aren't going to fit in the cars. Plus, my DH wants to go out and buy 2 new pieces of luggage today because he said some of our luggage looks terrible! He couldn't figure this out sooner! I'm freaking out!
By the way...I get this from my Mother. She always freaked out on travel days (my whole life). Oh well. In less then 24 hours I'll be in WDW, right! THANK YOU for ALL your well wishes!

Tell your DH not to worry about the luggage, because once new luggage goes on the plane, it comes out looking terrible anyway I know, because we bought bright pink luggage for the girls, and it's not grey and pink luggage

Try and relax - everything will be fine!!!!

Wow Debbie - my dh did the same thing! Of course time ran out, and I so agree about trying to get it all together, you certainly dont want to forget anything... then when we get there, we've totally overpacked!!

We had a good Cindy, but dont get me started on our Aurora!! The one in the show is gorgeous - as soon as I find my plugs to upload pics I'd love your opinions - I never knew I felt so about a character - I so admire their willingness to share magic and joy... at 1900 the Prince Charming this year was better looking, but the guy last year was so much more "charming"!!

I think I'm going to try and unpack today... mornings seem to be better than afternoons (I'm still taking 4 hour naps! My mom diagnosed me with mono!!)

Another busy week ahead for us, sorry I have been MIA but I are going in circles lately.. Yesterday I worked downtown, Eric had to car pool with another family to get to his football practice. The coach changed the location of practice to one with lights so they could get a full practice but it is in a field accross town, so now Eric has to be driven instead of walking. He calls me at 5:10 to tell me his ride isn't there.. um I am in downtown Chicago, an hour away.. what can i do? So I tell him to call the mom that is picking him up. Get home, and take Geoff to boy scout SPL council, pick up Eric and Jake, pick up Geoff, take Jake home and then my boys. it is now 7:45 and Eric still has homework, plus everyone wants dinner.. hummmm wonder what the house elves made for us.. Oops No house Elves.. so open a box or two of mac n cheese.. Dh is out of town again, so Thursday is a repeat of Tuesday. Friday Eric has practice, Geoff has a pasta party. So a bit of running here and there to drop and pick them both up. Saturday Geoff has a cc meet, Eric has homecoming football game. I need to make a sign for him on Saturday, plus laundry et al. I have to meet at 6 pm to decorate the car, 7:00 to drop off Eric for practice before the game, 7:30 we parade to the field. Eric's game is at 8:00 pm. Yes at 8 pm.. that is what we get for being the 'premiere team'. Then I leave for San Fran and Sunday at 6 am.. The boys will have to survive without me until Wednesday. BTW I have to arrange the carpools et al before i leave.

Then I get back and the next Thursday is the normal running around, work downtown, plus I have a scout committee meeting. Friday Geoff has a UN thing at school from 3-7, Eric has practice etc. Sat( Oct 20) Geoff has cc meet, then he goes to Camp Lakota for Fall Camperee, Eric has a football game, Geoff has to come back from Camp Lakota after the OA stuff late saturday night, cause his CC team is working the Chicago marathon the next day.

So I may not surface for awhile... talk to ya later..

good morning chicagoland homies.

i am bbbbaaaaaaaccccccckkkkkkkkkkk home now.

got in after midnight which was yesterday early morning.
suitcases sitting in the living room calling my name to unpack them.

it was a great 15 days in all.
now today its the blues time. i know you all go thru that when you get home from the motherland trips.

i need to go back and read what i missed.

i missed the meet up on friday. mnsshp hallowishes started late for some reasons and the crowds were horrible. i figured i could not get back to the dumbo area to meet you all.
the mnsshp that i went to on thursday oct 5 was very light. that night was perfect.


today will be busy.
laundry
unpack
grocery store
church tonight.

i will be back later to catch up
