Well, my DH and I finally filled our last dining slot - we chose Chefs de France. I haven't read much on this restaurant - can anyone who's eaten there give me their opinion? Also, is there a dish that you would highly recommend?

Our other dinner priority seatings are for: Le Cellier, CRT, Citricos, Yachtsman Steakhouse, & Marakkesh. Flying Fish was on the list until they pulled the scallop dish I was planning on ordering....

Thanks!

We ate at Chefs de France last year and it was pretty good! In fact, that's where we're eating for our Candlelight Processional Package!

I don't remember exactly what we had ordered, but DH and I both enjoyed our meal last year - DD ordered off the kids menu!

Chefs de France is probably the favorite WDW restaurant for me and my family (only "probably" since we haven't eaten at every one - yet!). We didn't eat there last year however, so I don't remember what we ate other than escargot appetizers (yum!). You won't regret this PS!

This is what I wrote in my recent trip report - we ate there on 31 August for my birthday.
"We then made our way to the World Showcase and Les Chefs de France for lunch. Our server (from Lyons) was so nice! I had the Escargots and Salade Nicoise. DH had the Onion Soup/Sandwich/Creme Brulee special. Our server rounded up all the staff, and they made their way to our table, desserts in hand (I had the Profiterolles and they also brought a birthday cake). They sang the French birthday song, some looking slightly embarrassed. It was lovely, and I cheered for them when they finished. Our server (kicking myself for not noting her name) explained that they were nervous that they wouldn't sound good, but I assured her that it was marvelous. Everything was absolutely incredible, so off we were, again waddling our way out of another restaurant."

I am happy at Akershus and Marrakesh but Chefes de France is always just okay for me. Now this is not becuase of quility, it is just what they offer on the menue that hasn't excited me. I like some of the items at Le Petite Cafe before they took that away. The best thing I had at Chef's was the stuffed pork chop. Wouldn't hesitate again. I didn't care for the accoutrements though. A friend I took to Epcot ( he had never been to any Disney park) chose Chef's de France and he said this was the best food of his trip and was one of the best meals he'd ever had. He had the Lobster Bisque soupl and a fish dish of some kind.

While I like Chefs very much (eating there NYE this year) I have to say I think the Bistro de Paris upstairs is really the nicer of the two.

I thought Chefs was just OK....Flying Fish is one of my favorites though...are you aware that there menu changes quite often and they rotate items in and out....i've never eaten the scallops there but I have had a number of the fish dishes and they were excellant...

You might want to make ressies at Flying fish and what until closer to see what the menu holds in store..

We had a very nice meal last October at Chef's.

DW and I both had beef and it was good. WE love the Onion Soup. We'd go back.
