hi!
we have breakfast at chef mickey , do we get a parking pass to park at the hotel ?
Thanks for your help.

You just tell security you are there to dine. They will scan your magic band.

Let security know you're there to eat. You'll have three hours. You can't leave your car there all day and head to a park, unless you pay to valet park ($25).

Thank you.
So we are given a pass to place in our car?
If we stay longer than 3 hours for breakfast and a monorail ride and visit the other hotels on the monorail what will happen to our car?

It will be towed and you'll have to pay a $500 impound fee.*

*Not really, but why not just do the right thing if you're planning on staying longer and either valet park or park at the TTC and monorail around to the Contemporary?

Hmm The right thing eh?
I'm just being the Devils advocate.
We most likely will be ok.

I'm probably the only one who wants to look at the other resorts.
And we would have our park days done.

I just didn't want to come out and find our car gone.
Make that the rental car gone..that would be awful.

Thank you.

All of the costumed characters leave their assigned spots in the dining room and beat your car to holy hell with rolling pins and frying plans. Mickey and Minny then flip it over, while Goofy lets out a resounding "Yeah, it's like that."

1) As mentioned, you get a 3-hour parking pass.
2) After 3-hours, you are subject to being towed.
3) Too many people try to park at Contemporary to get "free" parking.
4) This is CHEATING the system, and WDW is wise to it.

NOTE: As I remember, the towing fee is $136 and a $35/day storage fee. Far cheaper to pay the $20 parking lot price!

Yes that would be quite the parking charge.

I am sure we will be fine.

I'll probably get out -voted on the resort tours anyhow

I asked the rental car peeps and they don't cover such incident .so alas I will heed the 3 hour warning window and get out!
(P's thank for your humor )

Just echoing this in regards to the time needed for Chef Mickey's at breakfast. We were in and out in 45 min and saw all the characters in the first 25 min. Granted, our reservation was around 7:15am or so, but even later I can't see it taking more than an hour? Monorail to Poly is quick; allot 30 minutes to tour; monorail or walk to GF; allot another 30 min; monorail back to CR to get your car in under the 3 hours allowed for parking.

We've left our car there in mid December after 7am breakfast ADR at Chef Mickey's but we may not get away with it so easily nearer to Christmas week. It could depend on when you go e.g. quiet v busy
