Cheerleaders OH NO!

AGAIN not ALL cheerleaders are rude and obnoxious!!!!!!

I sometimes wonder if people just dislike "cheerleaders" in general just out of some wierd childish sort of jealousy??!!!!

BINGO!!! :cheer2:

What the hell is there to be jealous of? :rotfl:

Don't you know? Every young girl dreams of nothing but being a cheerleader. And if we don't make it through tryouts, we're left bitter and scarred for life. :guilty:

:cheer2:

:earboy2:

As an Ohio State Alum, I was going crazy when I saw THE OHIO STATE CHEERLEADERS outside my room at CR back in 1998. Then I saw BRUTUS!!!! I cheered them on from my balcony....IT WAS SUCH A THRILL!!!

GO BUCKS! BEAT THE LONGHORNS! SHOWDOWN AT THE SHOE 9.10.05!!

It seems that some of you never made the squad :confused3 . . . hence the bitterness. Shame.

CHEERS! :cheer2:

I hate to tell you this but it's not every girl's dream to be a cheerleader. I tried talking my daughter in to it and she wouldn't have any of it!

I don't think that most of the posters here are jealous of the cheerleaders, many of us have said we were cheerleaders. I went 2 years in a row to celebrate my birthday and didn't enjoy it and won't go back again, it's just not for everyone. I'm glad you enjoy it and that your daughter and her friends are thoughtful and considerate while at Disney, kudos to you as a mom. I would like to say that this isn't always the case and I have witnessed some poor behaviour from the cheerleaders and the chaperones didn't do anything about it. Yes, you have some valid points that you see plenty of people at Disney all the time who aren't nice, I try to stay away from them and cringe when I see the Brazilian groups of teenager there as well. But after being there twice and being over run by some very excited and rambumctious teenagers I decided that this wasn't a time I liked and will go other times of the year.

Your dd doesn't know what she's missing. :cheer2:

I know there are rude cheerleaders and parents of cheerleaders!!! I have "friends" that I was ashamed of while there in 2003!!! My family (me, DH and four cheerleaders!) returned from MVMCP late one eve and there they were, parents, drunk as skunks!! Cheerleaders nowhere to be found!!! I was shocked!!! I don't know what they were thinking!!??!! These were parents of the girls that I coach, and some from the younger team with daughters as young as 9!!! Where were these children?!? Don't know! I know where mine are at all times. We were asked to "booze it up with them", we declined - went to our rooms AND BROUGHT ALL OF OUR CHILDREN WITH US!!! That's not us!

FYI: The coaches are responsible for these girls during competitions ONLY (in our organization); and I guard them with my life during these short periods of time while at the Milk House. (WOW!! YES I'M A COACH!! AND A RESPONSIBLE ONE AT THAT!! :cheer2: ) Seems I take better care of the girls than their own parents!! No wonder they love me so much!!

So LIGHTEN UP!! I don't think ANYONE is perfect, not even cheerleaders!! SURPRISED?!? Don't be! Sorry, but I feel the need to defend them since I live with four :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

HAVE A MAGICAL/CHEERFUL DAY!!

Um, I'm sorry, but I would have died before I tried out to be a..... cheerleader. :crazy2:

No offense-- it just wasn't my thing.

I find the whole jealousy theory being bandied about on this thread to be absolutely bizarre. :confused3

CHEERS! :cheer2:

Wow! You ARE good. How did you know? We all want to be cheerleaders and I suppose since alot of us don't care for certain large tour groups, we all want to be South American too. Better yet, South American Cheerleaders! :cheer2: Yes, South American Cheerleaders, pulling our rolling backpacks while smoking cigarettes. :rotfl2:

The bottom line here is people fear staying at the same resort as large cheerleading groups. Period. No one has said all cheerleading groups are bad but there are enough obnoxious ones to have made quite a reputation for all of them. Perhaps you should be upset with ill behaved ones.....just like the rest of us.

As for you very mature remark about all of us being jealous, I really would like to know what we have to be jealous or bitter about? :confused3

Hey, don't rattle the cheerleaders cage! :rotfl:

Now if they could just be at the scene of every hit and run! :goodvibes
