The return flight I want to book leaves at 5:45pm. We weren't planning on renting a car, because we can use Disney transport to get to and from the airport, right? So, if checkout is at 11am or whatever, and our flight isn't until 5:45pm, what are we supposed to do? I was hoping to get to one of the parks that morning, but I'm a bit stumped about the whole checkout, luggage, and transport thing.

We're planning on staying at one of the value resorts.

Thanks!

If your airline participates in the resort check in, you can check your bags and get your boarding passes at the resort. You would need to do this before 1 pm, the desk closes then. if your airline does not participate, then you can have bell services hold your bags until you return in order to get the bus to the airport.

I love that everyone asks questions that I also need the answers to! Thank you:).

We checked out last year and left our bags at the Poly with Bell Services. Then we went back to the Magic Kingdom for a few hours :)

You can check out and then eat lunch. Put swimsuits in a carry on for kids and let them play.

If your flight is 5:45PM, you have to be at the bus stop for DME at 2:30PM with your luggage ready to go.
The evening before your departure you will get an envelope from DME telling you your departure time. Get to the bus stop 15 minutes prior..
We fly a participating airline for BAGS check, so we check our heavy bags in the AM, so all we have is our carry on for the bus.
BAGS takes the checked luggage to the airport in a separate truck.
