Checking in strategy for CSR

We will be arriving on a Tuesday (6/7 to be exact) and checking in approximately around 11:00 - 11:30 AM. This is right about the time that we will really be needing to get DD down for a nap, so we would like to get a room right then! I was thinking about not requesting a certain room or building and then saying that we would be willing to even pay extra for a waterview room if that was available then. Do you think that by not being picky and it being during the week that we might luck out and not have to wait?
Also, let's say that we do have to wait to get a room. Is there some quiet place in or near the lobby at CSR where she could sleep in my arms or something? Trying to prevent oncoming baby meltdowns!!

Hi, we checked in on a Thursday just after mid day and had no wait at all. We did see the check in area very busy later on but they just opened up the guest services desks to cope with the amount of people so it got things moving again.
I can't help with a quiet place because I honestly don't remember any - the only thing I could possibly suggest was walking along to Franciscos and take a seat in the far corner there, but I think at the time you're checking in you should be OK.

On our last two trips (also at CSR) we were able to check in and get our room right away. But, we have also been to WDW when we checked in in the am and didnt get a room until 3pm.
So, prepare for the worst-not getting a room at checkin, and hope for the best. I think it probably does help if you arent picky about the room.
Maybe you could lay down in the shade by one of the quiet pools? Not sure if this helps.

It is a hit or miss with the check in.

If you can't get a room and you need a spot I would go to the convention area and find a chair or a bench. Every time I've been in the convention area it was quiet and the A/C was on.

Hi. I was at CSR last month, and checked in very early - a little before 10am. I was shocked, but the room was ready. Actually, the CM gave us a choice of two rooms in different areas of the resort.

I wonder if you could call and have a request put in for an early check-in? I guess it couldn't hurt.
