I just received an email from my Dis Visa saying I can earn 5xs the points on gas, grocery, dining and pharmacy purchases for July, Aug and Sept.

This is so cool because I had one for Jan, Feb and March too!

Yes! I guess I'll start using it again...I've been on my Costco Amex and my Marriott Visa, as the rewards have been better...the last code I got was for spending above $2500...got a $500 this time, so free disney money, here I come!

I didn't get it. Of course, last time I got a 5x bonus offer, I had to spend $2250 in a category before I could get any of the bonus points. Who spends $2000/month on groceries?

I have NEVER gotten any of these offers from my Disney Visa and have had it since early 2002!!! How I'd love to get this as we are saving for our 2009 trip now and 5X points would be sweet!

As for spending $2000 on groceries....if i understand it correctly, you have to spend $2000 (or whatever is in your offer) in total within all the categories they list, then you get the points.

However, check your statement to see how your grocery store and gas station are "coded" as a category....many are "other" and may not count!

When I got the bonus points in JFM the amount you had to spend before the points kicked in was $500.

This time around the amount you have to spend before it kicks in is $750.

I know I spend that much in gas in a month so I should be fine, plus the groceries..since the price of them went sky high it costs me a $200 a week if not more. We really dont go out to eat at all and I dont shop at pharamcies like Walgreens and CVS so those places dont help me out.

I also got the bonus pints, but for us we only have to spend $250 a month before the bonus points start kicking in....

Can someone tell me if it's $250 a month, or in total for those 3 months?
And is this worth it?? We've never done this before, and it looks very interesting.

On mine it is $750, and from the way I understood it, it was after you reach $750 in the category in one month:

August you spend $1000 in airline travel. Out of that $750 gets normal points, but the $250 above the $750 gets 5X points. And it resets each month.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Same thing here. Each time around Christmas I get this offer but I have to spend at least $2000 for groceries. Even at this time of year that is a lot. So needless to say we won't ever get.

My DH and I each got the offer for our individual Disney Visas (separate accounts). But we got postcards in the mail, not emails.

Our offers were for July-Aug-Sept 5x Reward Dollars on Dining, Gas, Airlines & Groceries after spending $250 each month.

It is $500 total...after you have charged $500 in those catagories the bonus points kick in but it could take 2 months before you see the points on your account.

I called Chase after the first month to ask why my bonus points were not on my account and the person said it could take 2 months so show up...and he was right

My reading of the program was that you had to spend $500 PER catergory so I hope your reading is the correct one!! Unfortunately, we leave in less that 2 months so the extra points might be too late!! I have PROMISED the family this is my last trip (at least for a while )

hoping I get one too. I just reapplied for the disney visa and it should be here today. I used it before our trip last year and then canceled it because we didn't think we would be going back, but now we are planning again for July 09

I got the 5X bonus offer for Jul-Sep ($750) too.

I also got the 5X bonus offer for Jan-Mar ($100) and Apr-Jun ($250). I earned 177 bonus rewards during those 2 promotional periods.

I got a postcard in the mail about this and I was so excited that I immediately signed up and then threw the postcard away. I know it said it was for groceries, but I did not see how much I needed to spend first. I know it said 100 points was the limit.
Does anyone know how to find this info. out?? I tried finding it on my account page for Chase, but it says nothing of this offer.

I wouldnt say that because I use my card for everything including all my monthly bills and I received this offer twice this year
