Check in with AP voucher?

We won't arrive until pretty late (8 or 9), so I won't have exchanged my AP voucher for the actual pass yet. Can I check in with just the voucher, or do I have to go to DTD and take care of that first?

It's just Mom and I for a quickie girl trip, so "cashing" it in first isn't a big deal, but I know somebody out there has an answer for me

I was told (by a castmember over the phone) that I *had* to pick up my "real AP pass" at DTD before checking into the hotel. I am not sure if this is enforced 100% at every hotel? Maybe someone else will be able to answer. Maybe you could call the actual hotel and ask them first? We got picked up by a car service and had to pay a little extra for me to stop at DTD for all of 5 minutes to pick up my AP. Oh well!

Had only the AP voucher last Christmas when we checked in to CSR...no problem whatsoever. I've read on Dis before that you might have to show the actual AP during your stay...but we never had to.

I checked in at POR last year with voucher.

In October we only had the voucher, and had an AP rate... CM at AKL never even asked for it just checked us in.ITs the luck of the draw really.

When I checked into the Polynesian 2 weeks ago, I only had my voucher with me, but the CM didn't ask for anything to prove that I was eligible for the AP discount.

You don't have to go to DTD to exchange your voucher, any guest services at any park can do it too. I exchanged mine at MK.

We checked into the Poly on January 25th, and we didnt have our AP's yet. We were going to buy them that day at the park as ours expired in November. I told the CM at check in we didnt have our new ones yet, did she need me to bring them back later that evening and show them to someone, and she said "Nope.. you dont need to do that at all".

I checked in last year July 1. I was not asked for my annual pass or voucher. I went later to EPCOT to exchange it I had DS, 12 and DS, 2 with me. The office at the Inte Gateway side was closed so they let us go in without tix to exchange for my annual pass. DS, 12 did not have a tix and was not getting a pass but they let us all got thru. Very nice...liek I expect at Disney
