We will be flying into Orlando at 10am. After picking up Rental car we'll be driving to WDW.

A have a few questions...

About how long is the drive?

We are planning on having breakfast in room every morning (with 9m. old seemed best thing to do)...Should we do Grocery Store stop on way in, or get to resort ASAP to check-in?

I have a frig reserved, getting a crib from ABBF...anyone know if a HighChair is available?

Thanks, the countdown has begun

The drive from the airport takes about 30mins. Which resort are you staying at??

Some will give you a high chair.

Your room may not be ready. If you don't have a cooler parashable foods may spoil. I would check-in first. Or you cold buy a cheap styrafoam cooler.

Don't know about the drive or high chair.

I know for a fact that BC, BWI, and OKW have refrigerated storage for your groceries until your room is ready. Not sure about the others, but if you are staying at one of these, you're set. Otherwise, call the resort and ask. There might be a room ready when you get there, but official check-in time is 4 pm! Diana

We are staying at POR

I forgot about the perishables....hmmmmm, maybe I will just get a cheap styro cooler to hold us over, but the car will get so hot, I doubt it will stay cold for long.

I guess check-in 1st would be better, but I know that once there will be difficult to leave...have to think about this one for a while.

Thanks

My advice is to swing by the grocery first, then when you get to the resort, tell them that you have a baby and some refrigerated food for your baby. Disney seems to always be more willing to help when you have a specific request that deals with small children. Going to the grocery first and mentioning the cold food may get you in a room quicker than going to the resort direct and waiting for a room - it all depends on room availability. I hope this makes sense - I just always like to have a reason to give the front desk person as to why we need a room asap. No, I'm not better than anyone else, I am just an opportunist and I like to get the family in the room so we can get out and spend some money!!! have fun

I'm with you about not wanting to leave WDW once I get there! I like to totally immerse myself in Disney from the time I arrive til I head for home.

I'm sure if you pick up a styro cooler and fill it up with perishable food, even if your room is not ready when you arrive they will store the cooler in a cool place (at least cooler than your car!!) until the room is ready. Plus, the odds are pretty good that your room will be ready anyway.
