Hi All - I'm sure this has been asked but couldn't find an answer. We last sailed DCL about 9 months ago and are preparing for check-in this month. Can we reuse the headshot/selfie images from our last check-in? (I was planning to take updated pictures of the children, but not the adults). Or does DCL have some rule/alert that a new photo must be uploaded each time. Thanks!

Yes. If the head-shots were acceptable for your previous cruise, they will be accepted for your upcoming cruise.

One of my (adult) kid's hair-color appears to change with the season - but I still use the same one I used in 2021, although during one cruise they retook her photo at the check-in point just before we boarded, but for subsequent cruises, I used the same photo from 2021 without any issues.

I will say the same photo I used for my May 2022 cruise was rejected for my Nov 2022 cruise. It was funny everyone else's was fine. It wasn't a big deal and didn't hold up check in but worth noting you might have to re-submit but again it wasn't a big deal. You can register and check in and they let you know later if your photo is approved so it won't slow you down from picking a PAT.

I have used the same pic for checkin since cruising resumed in August, 2021.

Wait, what??? Gold member here but haven't cruised since 2019. I don't remember ever submitting a photo? But they do - or did - have our photos in the system, probably from our first boarding in 2012. Is this something new? Do I have to upload new photos for online check-in or something??? Just adults, no kids, so we pretty much look the same... with a few extra wrinkles and grey hair. Thanks!

Yes, I’m also confused. What head shot? Is check in where you pick your PAT or is it something else closer to the cruise? Our last DCL cruise was 2019.

We hadn't sailed from 2019 either until last month, so there were a few things to learn. You now have to check in online for your cruise. Yes, it is when you pick you're assigned your PAT. When you check-in online, you will have to provide pictures of your passports and headshots of everyone in your party. Nothing fancy, so no worries. You just have to take some shots with your phone and upload them.

You will have to upload them every time you cruise even if they are in the system.

We did and funny thing was in the one from Dec 2021 my youngest daughter was missing some of her front teeth. I did the check-in while everyone was still in bed and didn't think to take new photos ahead of time. :O)

this is the 1st time I have been flagged with trying to use the passport photo. I have cruised with Disney and royal and always used the same photo that is on my passport. for some reason, this time, they kicked it back and made me send in a selfie.

Oh, wow, head shots and passport photos. Okay, I had no idea, thanks! After nine cruises I used to be pretty good at this stuff, but I know a lot has changed since pre-2020.
