I've seen several people mention having their home address in their Disney account, so the sweepstakes folks know where to send the package, but I see nowhere in my Disney account a place to put one. The tabs in my Account Manager say My Account, Account Details, Communication Preferences and Community Settings, none of which contain blanks for a physical address or even a phone number. Advice?

I was thinking the same thing Coconuts:) Why haven't I won yet?? This contest is driving me crazy, but I love hearing about all the lucky Disers that have won so far. Hoping that I will join them soon, but I am not the luckiest of people! Best of luck to all that enter!!

I know I should probably start this thread elsewhere on the DIS, but since it kind of relates to winning the trip, I thought I would start it here, and see what kind of answers I get...

So, it has to do with the Dining Plans. I have been reading the DL website about the dining plans. We have a $1000 as part of the prize. If I had my way, we would do the Princess meal (bummed it's no longer dinner), and Goofy's Kitchen, Minnie's Breakfast, and something for World of Color (which leads me to another question further below). If you get the DP for 2,3, or 4 days, for a set price, does that include Character meals (including Premium Character meals)? The wording on their website makes it seem like Character & Premium Character meals are included, but I want to hear it from people who have actually done it.

I know that World of Color dining is NOT included in the dining plan. We haven't been to CA since WOC became a reality. I know you can eat at Ariel's Grotto and the Trattoria for WOC, or do a picnic meal. My question about WOC is do you need to do a meal for it to be able to see it well? Bear in mind, we will be traveling with our soon to be 4 & 8 yo kids, and our friends' soon to be 2 & 4 yo kids, so dining may be a good way to keep them tied to a chair until WOC begins.

Ive read in previous posts its a 212 (NYC) area code!

GAH!!! As soon as I saw this post, I went back and looked through my list of missed calls, and I have a missed call from a number with a similar area code - 202 - on January 22nd! But I Google'd the number, and it seems to have just been some political survey. :sad2:

Thanks for the info! ;)

Edit: I misread your post the first time, so ignore that if you saw it. This info should help answer your questions:

Yes, the call came from area code 212. I almost didn't answer the call since I did not recognize the number and I was driving(no bluetooth and against the law here in California to be on a cell without bluetooth) but I answered anyway.

LOL, I've been entering this sweepstakes everyday since January 1st via text...and this morning I had the realization that my mobile account is in my mom's name (she set it up way back when I first moved away to college, and even though I pay the bill now, we never switched the name on the account), so if I end up winning, I will have actually won my mother a Disney vacation. :goodvibes

She'd better take me!!!

And by the way - I entered by text this morning, got the usual response right away, no problems.

Maybe it just means you get the trip but she pays the taxes????

So....Fedex just stopped in front of my building, got out with an envelope, walked into my hallway and I waited for a knock.....then he left. :guilty:

we are planning a trip to Disney World this summer and I have been holding off on purchasing airfare in case I win. I know it's completely irrational and it will probably come back to bite me in the butt if airfare prices go up. Is anyone else holding off on booking a trip in case the win, or am I the only crazy one?? :rolleyes1

BTW....Congratulations to all the winners so far!! It's awesome to see so many winners from the DIS boards.

As you can see from my ticker, I'm going with some friends at the end of September, and we actually just booked our flight to get there this week (we're going Sept 26th-Oct 3rd, and airfare is only available through Sept 28th so far, so no flight back yet). It had crossed my mind to hold-off on airfare just in case I actually won this thing, but we found a really good flight going down there (GREAT price, non-stop, 2hour 10min flight, we'll be landing in Orlando by 8:30am - we can be posing for pictures with Mickey in a park by 11am if we so choose). My sister is a travel agent for AAA, and she's told me stories about how she's been booking trips for people and had a great flight up on the computer screen, and then missed out on it because it filled-up faster than she could type the reservation into the computer, so when we found that flight we didn't really want to wait and miss out on it (it's the only non-stop flight that entire day, and almost $100 cheaper than the next cheapest flight).

This way I figure if I DO somehow actually win the sweepstakes, I'll just be forced to plan a 2nd trip. :thumbsup2

Thanks for all those links. The first one wasn't a valid URL. The other 2 were great. The DIS link had a much better picture of the viewing areas. I've bookmarked that page.

And now that I have posted my message, I can see what you've typed out for the first URL. When I originally read your post it was just ****** for the URL.

go to www.disneyworld.com and log in. Click on "update profile" in the upper left corner next to your name and it will take you to where you can put your info in.

Whew! After much effort and many days, I finally got to the end of this thread!

I think I deserve a call from Ventura as my reward :goodvibes

Maybe it just means you get the trip but she pays the taxes????

I sent mom a message this morning explaining that she may be winning a Disney trip thanks to me, and that I expect her to take me with her, and she jokingly sent back "Don't worry, I'll bring you a nice souvenir t-shirt." So I sent her back "That's fine, enjoy paying all the taxes on the trip then too!"

Of course we may be jumping the gun a bit, seeing as how we haven't actually WON anything yet, lol.

I've had no problems entering each day until yesterday! I wasn't able to enter online yesterday - kept getting an error message. Today I've tried both online AND texting (even though we don't have a text plan) and neither has worked for me.

Oh well. Probably wasn't supposed to win the trip anyway!

:confused3 Are they skipping the dis this week?
Or are they throwing us off my having fed ex show up on Friday?

I was thinking the same thing.
No Dis winners this week :confused3
I hope It's like you said the fed-ex guy will come tomorrow :)
:cutie:
