When looking at our docs the other day I noticed that DCL had misspelled my DD10 last name by one letter. So I called DCL to see if that was a problem and indeed it would be as far as our flights go(due to increased security). I was told to have our TA return the docs to DCL and request new docs with correct spelling. He also said that there would be a $35 fee for this!!! He said that the mistake should have been caught by either myself or our TA ,prior to the docs being issued, on any of the other papers sent to us by DCL.

We are on the 2-28 Magic so I was a little nervous about the time issue!

Thank goodness I have saved every scrap of paper involved with booking of this cruise(I did the original booking not the TA) because I found several pieces of comm. from DCL with DD name spelled correctly!!! I brought all to TA and she very promptly got DCL on the phone, faxed "evidence" to them, and low and behold there is no longer a fee involved!!! They are sending the new docs out right away and the old ones don't have to returned!!

I felt that DCL was a little quick to accuse myself & TA of being too lax in our observations--but just as quick to remedy the situation when the mistake was shown to be their own(no apology though)!!

It's a good thing you caught that! I'm glad you were able to get it straightened out and that you kept all of the previous proof.....oops, I mean 'paperwork.' LOL

Excellent information...thanks!

I just emailed DU this morning. Our documents came last night, and DH's lists the wrong address! Everything else is correct, except for the Rochester, NY address. Everyone else's documents are also correct. I hope we do not have a fee! Obviously, this was not our mistake, LOL.

I seem to remember that my sister and I had that problem. We live at different addresses but the docs showed my address for both of us... I believe, in that instance, they simply told us to fix the address on the docs, and it was no problem....

As for the name spelling - I don't know about that...

Well goodness.... I'm glad you were able to prove it so you wouldn't be charged the fee- but an apology once they realized their mistake would have been nice...

Piggy Back question for that-- My friend and I will be cruisin in May and we live in 2 seperate states do the docs just get sent to her? as she has the ressie? or do I get my own set sent to me?
If they get sent to her is it necessary that they get sent to me before I leave or will I be okay just getting them and filling them out down there? We'll be at wdw for 5 days before cruisin'

Thanks :) -em

Hey Em~
I believe they will be sent to her as she made the reservations. My daughter cruised with my niece and her son 2 years ago. My niece made all the arrangements, nothing ever came here, it all went to my niece's address.

It's a fairly new requirement that they have the address of each party, regardless of where the documents are going. It used to be that they were only interested in the address of the lead party.

You don't have to have the documents sent to one person. If one of you is at a different address and would prefer getting them directly, let them know.
