Cheapest Way to Universal

I want to visit/stay at one of the Disney World resorts, but one day while I am down in FL my boyfriend wants to go to Universal. So I was wondering what is the cheapest way to get from a Disney resort to the Universal theme parks? Bus? Taxi? etc.? Has anyone ever done this before? and if so how much did you pay?

Hi, I do not have an answer for you, SORRY ,but I thought I would BUMP this up for you by asking a similar ?. My DD will be coming from MCO to join us at the Hard Rock Hotel and so as not to disturb OUR day in the park,I would like to know the CHEAPEST way from MCO to Hard Rock Hotel?? I was thinking i could just tell her to catch a shuttle or do I need to reserve something for her?? THANKS,Joan

BettrDayzz: Cheapest way is Lynx (public) bus from the Magic Kingdom parking lot - it's only a couple of bucks per person but you have to ride to downtown Orlando and transfer to a bus to the Universal area. See www.golynx.com for pricing/routing.
Next cheapest way is Mears www.mears.com (I think)
It's about $12 per person round trip
Joan: Same thing - just have your daughter go to the Mears Shuttle counter on the first level of the airport.

Hi, Thanks for the info! I found the info I needed ($16. one way)from MCO to HRH (and I can make advanced res.!) and also transportation from WDW to Universal for OP on www.mearstransportation.com. Joan
