cheap insurance - good company

I want to change insurance companies for home & auto insurance. What company would be cheap, but a good company?

Your best bet is to shop around. It really depends on your situation and area of the country. For us personally, Progressive has the cheapest car insurance I've been able to find. We have a DD18 and w/her & a third car on our policy, we pay $50 less than the cheapest quote I've gotten from other carriers. Before we added her, we were w/AAA.

Sometimes an independent insurance agent can give better home insurance rates than the big ones like Allstate, etc.

We have an independant agent who will shop around for us. If you do not have an independant agent to work with, spend some time making calls.
