Cheap hotel king strikes again! 1 star hotel room for $17 a night off Priceline!

I did it again! I got a Priceline hotel room for $17 a night. I thought about going down to $15, but I'd try my luck at $17. I got the Travelodge Maingate at 8600 W. Irlo Bronson Hwy. for $17 a night from 5/24 to 5/26. My total with tax and service fees is $43.07. I don't think I've stayed at this Travelodge. It might be the one about a mile down from Old Town that has indoor rooms and a McDonald's in front of it.

I just hope it's clean!

This may be the Travelodge we stayed at in 2001. I believe the full name was Travelodge Maingate East? There was a Red Lobster right across the street and you could see that Sky Coaster ride from our room. It was also very close to Old Town and I believe Wet and Wild. If this is that hotel, then you have gotten yourself a nice bargain! The hotel gets very mixed reviews but we found it to be acceptable. Our room was clean, the food court was nice and they served a breakfast buffet in the mornings that was quite good. $17.00 is a great rate! Have fun .

It's not. The hotels in the Old Town area are in the 5000 numbers. The 8000 numbers are on 192 west of I-4. For reference, the Sheraton Four Points Lakeside is 7769 so it's further west than that. Most likely 8600 is down near Lindfields Boulevard where many of the condo rental properties are.

According to BFT's hotel website this is the hotel with the McDonalds in front of it, not far from Old Town

I have heard that is a clean hotel.
We were supposed to stay here in Sept 01.

While it isn't far from old town, I wouldn't really use that as a guide. If the map on the travelodge website is correct, this hotel is right near Sherberth Road, which takes you to Osceola Pkwy right near the AK/AKL. Very convenient!!

There is a tab for location/directions where you will find a map. Keep zooming in & you'll see that it is right near Sherberth road & the Mcdonalds. Old Town is on the other side of the 192 Disney entrance, right?
