Cheap Excursions in Punta Cana

Can anyone tell me the best company to get a good price on excursions? Am I better off booking them before the trip or wait until we get there?

Is this for cruise excursions? If so, I would go directly through your cruise line. I have no idea if Punta Cana even has a port--I am just guessing that's what you mean b/c I always refer to excursions for cruises. Anyway, although I *LOVE* Punta Cana (and honeymooned there) it can definitely still be a bit 'shady'. So if you're not on a cruise, I'd pick a reputable tour operator through your hotel concierge.

No we are staying at a resort, but I have seen excursions for dune buggy rides, deep sea fishing, dolphin swim, parasailing, etc. Some of them seem really expensive.

We are staying at IFA Villas Resort and Spa. I booked through vacationexpress.com and so far they have been GREAT and the prices are really good too. For your family room only (inclusive) they have resorts in Punta Cana from $200 per person to $1200. You might check them out.

I just checked some prices and a few 4+ star resorts have rates of $200/nt for our family of 4 in July. I'm tempted to book a 4 nt trip since we already have flight tickets we need to use within a year and our DW trip isn't till Nov so we need something in the summer.

My kids favorite thing to do in Punta Cana was surfing! We booked with Macao surf camp. We are a family of 5, so we got a better rate (I think $60/ea?) last spring break. They picked us up at the hotel at 8am and we returned about 1pm. It was the most fun they've had in a long time!! I bought the picture cd ($15/ea so $60) and we had over 250 pictures of our family. It was wonderful!

Thanks for that site, I will check it out. This trip is to celebrate my husband's 40th and dd's 13th birthdays. My husband is requesting to go to the Hard Rock Resort so we may go that route.

Thanks! I'll look into that. There will be 6 of us. I looked into Coco Excursions because they are at our resort and most of their prices were pretty reasonable.
