DH just got home; he says to tell Staley that certain activities that were geometrically impossible in the teeny tiny car will now be quite comfortable in the minivan!

Hey, I just got here, but I'm IMing with my MIL, plus I gotta get a chicken out of the oven in about 15 mins!

Us simple country folk usually keep our chickens outside in a coop. But I guess you city folk do things differently huh?

You know, I'm thinking Sarah Palin has it right...no need to teach teenagers about contraception in schools. Just give them a photo of a mini-van and let them know that pre-marital sex leads to mini-vans! That'll stop them!

I'm sitting here listening to Sara Palin speak. Both DH & I both think she is a good speaker. Although I guess I still must not support the Republican party due to Bernice's entire town being disrupted due to the RNC.

Congrats on the new car! Celebrate this time in your life. You are a mini-van driving mom....BUT one day you will be watching your kids getting ready to start leaving the nest....AND.....you will be planning on getting your sporty new convertible! Remember we're not Democrats or Republicans....we're HYENAS!!!! I was just sorta watching. Although I would never have watched had the media not been picking on her and her daughter. But you don't want to get me started on that!

So I finally got to talk to the principal today. We talked for quite awhile, and at first she said something along the lines of "let's keep him in the class and see how it goes". But I wasn't done discussing my issues, we'd just talked about the main one. When I was done talking about everything, she was sounding more... I won't say in agreement, but definitely more inclined to see what she could do. She wanted first to discuss DS's situation with his two teachers from last year, as well as his current teacher.

She said they were still registering kids for school today, so I think PERHAPS if one is a 3rd grader, she might move DS and put the new kid in the current class.

I told her that I was not a pushy sort of person, and I regretted that this was the first time we'd talked, that it was over something so serious. I wanted her to know that this is how seriously we're taking the situation. She said it was fine, and that it was what I should do as a mother. So that's cool.
