So I finally got to talk to the principal today. We talked for quite awhile, and at first she said something along the lines of "let's keep him in the class and see how it goes". But I wasn't done discussing my issues, we'd just talked about the main one. When I was done talking about everything, she was sounding more... I won't say in agreement, but definitely more inclined to see what she could do. She wanted first to discuss DS's situation with his two teachers from last year, as well as his current teacher.

She said they were still registering kids for school today, so I think PERHAPS if one is a 3rd grader, she might move DS and put the new kid in the current class.

I told her that I was not a pushy sort of person, and I regretted that this was the first time we'd talked, that it was over something so serious. I wanted her to know that this is how seriously we're taking the situation. She said it was fine, and that it was what I should do as a mother. So that's cool.

WHEW!
Awesome Possum. :thumbsup2

:lmao: As I was bawling my way out of the dealership.... Frelan told me would buy me a sports car when the kids were older. :lmao:

Although I don't have a mini-van, you could park a mini-van in the back of mine if you wanted to! I LOVE my behemoth and although I have considered downsizing, I love having room for everyone to stretch out, lots of room for groceries and shopping trips, seats 8 people, has 8 cup holders, and a partridge in a pear tree! No seriously, I bet I could fit the entire 12 Days of Christmas into my car.:rotfl:

But alas, now I'm kinda sad because I know that DD will move out in a couple of years and I'm slowly losing a reason to have a hugical car.:sad1: Geez, now I'm kinda sad.

I'm sitting here listening to Sara Palin speak. Both DH & I both think she is a good speaker. :thumbsup2 Although I guess I still must not support the Republican party due to Bernice's entire town being disrupted due to the RNC.:lmao:

:lmao: I was quite impressed by her speach. That's what I was doing....However not while I was in the shower. :lmao:

Denver cleared out from Obama, Bernice will get over it soon. :lmao:

BTW, thanks for reading my report Alison. :goodvibes I'm thinking you are right about heading to WDW more often. Its like going home to us and we are getting more excited each day. :cool1:

Glad it turned out ok for you. Hopefully they can get him moved soon. I just worry that they will try to draw out the situation and then it gets harder to move him to another classroom.

I have NEVER been a fan of big cars. I have always liked small compact cars. The kids might be squished... But guess what? They are kids, they will get over it. :lmao: No, my kids have never been squished in my car. But I just feel more comfortable driving something small. Just ask all the stuff I ran over in my garage this afternoon. :rolleyes1

Now we have something all the kids will fit in, plus the double stroller we will need... and a load of groceries... Plus a couple of friends. Good enough, I guess.

She said something about the other 3rd grade classes, and I said that one class had a child that has been pretty mean to DS, and that they'd been in the same class for the 3 previous years. She asked who, and I hesitated, then said his name, and which class I thought he was in. I said as pleased as we were that they did not share a class this year, we would take a class with that child in it over the current situation. Obviously my preference would be another class altogether.

She mentioned something, the gist of which I thought was that there are children like this little twerp in all the classes. They try to divvy up the behavioral problems evenly among the classes, and I get that. And I told her that. I told her our preference was just to move him, not so much which other class he winds up in.

So we'll see what happens. She's going to talk with the teachers, and try to get back to me sometime tomorrow afternoon. By then DS will have been in the current class for 3 days. I didn't want to take a wait and see approach, because I thought it might be harder to move him the longer it goes. So hopefully it won't be difficult for him if he does get moved after 3 days. :confused3

You will totally get used to riding in a larger car. I rented a small car once and I felt like my butt was dragging on the ground. :scared1: I was afraid of all of the other cars around me too. :lmao:

I'm thinking that maybe they need to change the ticket....Palin for Pres. and McCain for VP.:thumbsup2 We all know that it's only a matter of time before us women take over the world anyway!:lmao:

I've actually been quite worried about how Obama would handle taking care of 2 small children and run the U.S.!:lmao:

I'm getting excited for you also! :yay: :yay: :yay:

I always loved small sedans. My first "real" car, the one I bought new because I wanted it, was a Honda Accord. We just got rid of it to get the RAV4. DH had a Toyota pickup when we married, but bought the 4Runner when DS8 came along.

I loved my car, but once I got used to the 4Runner, I liked feeling like I could see better in traffic. In a car that's lower to the ground I always felt like I couldn't see any further than the car in front of me, which was usually a big pickup, minivan or SUV. :rotfl:

:lmao: I told Frelan I ran something over in the garage when we got home from swim...He looked at me like this  Was it something that had been alive??  :lmao: :lmao: NO!

Alex, I'm glad things will get resolved soon. :goodvibes
Thanks, me too! Honestly, I was getting so stressed out about HAVING the conversation! When she finally called, I felt tense but also clear-headed and remembered all my points. Often when I get really nervous I can't remember everything I want to say and get flustered.

Though if she says she won't move DS, I do NOT want to be the one to tell DH. He is going to be TICKED OFF. :scared:

Do you suppose I could give her his phone number and have HER explain it to him??? :rotfl:

OMG! Like you'd be calmly talking about it if it had been that little old lady down the street? :lmao:

If you don't get the situation resolved soon just let me know....I have extra Prozac and I'm not afraid to send you some!:rotfl2: You'll still want him moved into another classroom, but you'll be hollering on the outside about it while laughing on the inside!

I think you are right. Women can get a lot done! :thumbsup2

Thanks!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Ok didnt want to post this on the pre trippie but I hinted at it. I'm seriously thinking of booking that horseback riding for Morgan and Jeff. Morgan is NUTS about horses and wants to ride one. Not a pony though. Jeff has never ridden one so I think it would be a great bonding experience.

The min. age is 9 but Morgan looks 10 as we all know so I dont think it would be a problem. I know you have to sign that she is 9 and I'm sure that if we told her that she had to say she is 9 she would...:lmao:

The only problem I see with this is if for some reason they need the Key to the Kingdom card/Resort ID that would state how old she is due to tickets etc. I'm not sure why they would need it though since you dont need to be a resort guest to ride horses.

This would be a surprise for her one day. What do you think?

:lmao: :lmao: Heck yeah!! I might have even been laughing just a little. ;) :lmao: KIDDING!! But I have been a little crazy lately. :rolleyes1
