And what's the deal with controversy over the Chinese gymnasts' ages? Did they put a minimum age limit of 16 now or what? They've previously had 14 -15 yo gymnasts, so I wasn't sure why there was a controversy, or why (if it's true they're younger) the Chinese would even care enough to lie about their ages...

I guess its a min age of 16 now for all of the gymnasts but the chinese girls do not even remotely look 16. Today at the gymnastics place one of the coaches was saying that some of the Chinese gymnasts had their teeth still missing. The ones you lose when you are 10-12 so there was no way they could be 16.

Overcast. Cool. But not raining... yet. It is August, right???

Weather report claims we'll have fall-like weather today and tomorrow. Allegedly the sun will return at some point, so he's hoping that happens on Thursday. And yes, I am pouting, dang it!

Nothing really going on today. I want to run out to Target for a couple things, and need to make a few appointments, but that's about it for today.

Good Morning Ladies....just enjoying the nice rain and cooler weather here for a few days.

Wanted to give everyone an update on my nephew. He is doing well and started school Monday. His psychologist gave him the go ahead to start. Understandably, like every other kid in the world, he's not real thrilled to be starting school. But my sis said he had a good day, met a nice girl in the class that befriended him, so is doing well.

BUT...now Tropical Storm Fay is headed their way, so no school today or tomorrow. Which is nice, because he will have gone to school Monday, have 2 days off, go Thurs. & Fri. and then have 2 more days off. A nice way to ease back into the school year.

PM filed guardianship papers in Oregon on Monday. But since my sis filed in Florida first, they will request that the Oregon case be dropped and it be moved to the Florida venue. I guess that's the way it works in the US. Whoever files first is generally what venue it will be heard in.

Alas, my desk is once again overflowing with paperwork and my boss is gone for a couple of days. So I am going to use this time to get caught up with everything.

Good Morning Hyenas!!

Took Kaitlyn to ortho, and I'm back to get caught up.

Later on today, I'm going to school to help DD Becky in her classroom. Also continue working on the Drama Room. It still is a disaster from the play. People keep adding stuff in it, and then I have to find a place for all of it.

Thursday, I'm taking my Mom to go see my niece who just moved from Conneticut. She now lives near Thousand Oaks. Pix, don't you live somewhere around there? Anyways, my poor niece has had an overload of problems. First of all, when she unacked their furniture and boxes, they were all water damaged and mildewed. Apparently the storage place was flooded. So everything had to be aired and cleaned as much as possible. So that prolonged the unpacking!!

Then about 5 weeks ago, she had an emergency appendectomy done. Then she had problems with that, and they had to go in again. But she still is having major problems, and just last week she had a hysterectomy, with her ovaries and uterus taken out. And she is suppposed to start a brand new teaching job next week. Well of couse that isn't going to happen yet. Thank goodness the new school's principal is very understanding, and has a retired teacher taking her place until she is well enough to come back. So get aload of this..... She was released from the hospital yesterday, and today she goes back to the doctor to get an ultasound on her breast which has lump that they have been keeping track of. Can anything else happen to her?

So needless to say, my Sister from Oregon has come to be with her indifinately until she is on her feet again. Because of all of this, my niece has hardly unpacked anything, cuz she can't lift anything. So now my Mom and I are going to try and rescue her. Besides, it's a good excuse to see them. And I'm thankful that my Mom is well enough to travel again. There was a time, last spring when I was beginning to wonder if she was ever going to be well again.

Geesh..sorry I wrote so much.

Hi guys, LOTS AND LOTS of homework....more than I thought I would have...when I got home last night I started working on some and worked most of the day today on it....I am still not done..

DD starts tomorrow, tonight we have a BBQ at her school...kinda meet the other parents thing...I have class so I will be late but I am letting her go with one of my friends who has a daughter there until I can arrive...I was told to bring a dish..are you kidding me? I just got the notice on that one..there is no time so I am trying to figure out something to take or should I say was and my friend offered to stop and pick up something for me..THANK GOD FOR HER..

How are you feeling Staley? GREAT I HOPE..

I went back to the Dr. today. We did another ultrasound, so hubby and I could see the babies, ans so hubby could see that YES. There are 2 of them, and YES... They look healthy so far. 2 little heartbeats, and they are both the same size, and they hate each other already. They are camped out on totally different sides of the uterus. They are just LOVELY.

The Dr. gave me some meds for my barfies, and just basically said to take it easy. I was sobbing during the ultrasound again... this time because I was so happy that they looked so good. She also said my cervix was closed and long.
