wait until you see how small the portions have gotten at WDW...it used to be several people can eat one meal...not really now....oh and the cheesecake...is cupcake size now...

Who, me? :teeth:

We're going to the ocean! :woohoo:

We used to go every summer, but haven't been the last two or three years. The timing of this trip worked out so well because of that, and because:

1. DS7 had wanted to go to DL on his birthday, but didn't want to deal with heat or crowds (neither did we!) So I planned so we'd to to the ocean on his birthday!

2. Since our DL trip isn't until Dec., I really wanted us to do something this summer while the kids had time off. This short, local trip is a great solution, and the kids will be happy just to dig in the sand, walk on the beach, whatever for 3 days. We also find it very relaxing... or as much as one can with two young children anyway.

3. My neighbor friend and her family have been at the same location this past week. They're in a condo, so she invited us over to their place tomorrow night for dinner. She's going to bake a cake for DS! The kids are BEYOND EXCITED to actually have other kids they know that they can play with there!!! :rotfl:

4. We planned the trip so that DH would only be taking 2 days off work. Then it looked like he might be taking a business trip this week, and I was ticked. The business trip didn't happen, but then it looked like another work issue might mean DH would have to work today and part of tomorrow, so we'd have to drive there separately. Fortunately that didn't turn out to be the case either. (DH worked late last night.)

So we're all going, together, and we get 4 days in the sun and sand, WOOHOO!!!! :woohoo:

OK, well maybe not the sun. It's a tad chilly at the beach, plus while there will be a sweltering heatwave in Seattle, it will be cloudy off and on at the coast. But no matter, it will be a blast anyway!

:goodvibes How fun!

I knew you would be back! :lmao:

Actually it's not that good of cheesecake, but it looks really cool with all the tie dye swirly colors in it.

That is so awesome!! I still am not sure if I'm going or not. Guess I'll decide the week before!:lmao:

The kids will probably love the cheesecake then. The pictures look neat. Thats nuts that you can decide that soon on airline miles. When I worked for America West now US Air or whatever its called now it was tough to get frequent flier miles. Whatever airline you have out of there is awesome! :thumbsup2

Shoot I need to meet my friend at Ikea at 10. Bye

have fun at IKEA...and planning the trip...really making me want that trip that DH is screaming for...(just the 2 of us in oct. or nov.)

I like pop, I just get tired of it....I like to change things up a bit from time to time. DH is a creature of habit...hates change......but, pop is cool
Whoaaa, I need to read more carefully. I thought you said, "I like poop, I just get tired of it..." :scared:

I get real tired of it, lemmee tell ya! DS4 has been a poopamatic this week, the week I've really been pushing him to use the potty. So A) potty-training doesn't work so well when he's got diarrhea, but B) he's got a lot of practice now at changing his poopy pull-up himself. He still whines and carries on about it, but I stick to my guns and by golly, he does it and is even fairly neat about it now. :rotfl:

DH not so much, he caves to the sad, pitiful face. :sad2:

Anyway, now that his back-end action has calmed down to a reasonable level, maybe we can get back on track with the potty-training. I asked him this morning, "So WHERE are you going to put your poop today?"

He said, "Inna garbage!" :yay: :headache:

"No, no, no! You're going to put it in the potty like a big boy, right?!"

"Yeah!!!" :yay:

We'll see...

By the way, I have two new words to add to his personal dictionary...

Heddick: What Mama gets when he screams too much.

Branch: His favorite salad dressing.

:rotfl:

I am partial to branch myself:rotfl: I love it when they talk like that...my gf's son use to call a helicopter.....hill a cop top a tor it was the cutest..

Have fun at the beach! Glad everything worked out for the trip. We are thinking of going down Labor Day weekend, just haven't decided yet. We have the lot down there, so no need to make reservations. We haven't gone camping or anywhere all summer long. DH's school has sort of thrown a damper on summer stuff...there's no way he can take even a day off. I'll be very glad when he's done in a couple of weeks.
I know what you mean. We've been working around DH's work schedule, which is a bit chaotic with these sudden business trips in the mix now.

OK, DH is nagging me to get moving. Gotta go! :rotfl:

Have a great weekend, everyone!

It's Alaska Airlines. You are allowed to use the miles on any of their seats or flights. If they are out of coach seats, then they give you first class seats for the same price. So it actually sort of pays to wait until a flight is almost full!:thumbsup2 They will charge you more miles for a first class seat if coach seats are still available, but not if they are gone. Plus when they have a plane that is not filling up, they will offer tickets for it cheaper. So instead of 20,000 miles to get my nephews out here, we chose days that only required 10,000 miles each. Plus if you want to save miles, you can choose to use half the normal miles and get a 50% discount on the low web airfares. I've been able to use miles to get my sister & nephews back & forth from Florida and altogether it has only cost $220 and a whole lotta miles!

I'm here already, no need to talk about the brown stuff!!:lmao:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I used to call butterfly's, butterscotches and hot dog's, dog hots. Oh wait, I still do!

Alex- I didn't know you were going on a trip. Have a good time! :goodvibes :yay:

Wow, how much have I missed from this thread? :rotfl:

It's a little crazy at work today but not as bad (as of yet). Yesterday I went to the mall after work. I had bought a pair of pants from Victoria's Secret Pink collection and there was a stain on the back. It looked like makeup of some kind. Then I went to Macy's and got a cool pair of Skechers. They are supposed to be flexible and light-weight. I will give it the DL footies endurance test this weekend. :rotfl: So far my Crocs are the only ones that do not cause severe pain when walking all day.

I went to the market last night and bought 1 huge birthday balloon and 2 star balloons for my little sister. She has plans today and my parents took the day off of work. They invited some of her friends over to their house to swim and hang out. I also got my sister a Harajuku Lover's messenger bag and matching wallet. She loved it and said it was really cute so I'm glad. My older sister is planning to come back this weekend for my little sister's b-day. :goodvibes

I need to upload pics for my camera. I found one of a sign I saw in a store. It has a pirate girl sitting on top of a chest and it says: "Ye can have be booty but leave me chest alone!" :lmao: :rotfl:
