Chatty Hyena Thread (Everyone's welcome)

I am taking a break from a paper that will be due in 2 weeks..it was give to us last night...and tonight I have a class and have to be at DD's school for parent O. which I will be late for and they know this...but they said get there when you can its required....this is where the next round of books will go around for all to sign up for fundraising....and I was told that the school is aware of my extensive experience in fundraising....great....

Tonight I probably won't be on because I will be babysitting my little 3 month old great nephew. Unless I luck out and he falls asleep early. But then again I might just sit in the rocking chair watching him sleep. :lovestruc

Last night I gave him a bath and slathered him up with lotion and powder and then put his jammies on. I just love that freshly washed baby smell. :thumbsup2

OMG...I love that smell...thats how I created my sisters baby monster...I just sat, held, and sniffed...ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Ok Alaska Airlines just became my favorite carrier! That is the most awesome thing I have heard of. ON America West/Us Air we only had 2 coach seats per flight to give away to frequent fliers. 2 It was BS. I remember splitting families up to go on vacation. They had 1 or 2 first class seats available too but cost double miles. YIKES.

Dave is exausted. His cousins are still here, and tomorrow we get more family in. So I keep getting to feed everyone. I thought I was only responsible for Saturday. :lmao:

Morgan's birthday is next weekend. I had this elaborate drawing of her cake. It was to be a carved pillow bottom layer with fringe and sitting on top a sphere cake with a painted cheetah pattern on it. The pillow cake was to be a beautiful violet and the cheetah (for Cheetah girls was to be pink and black) but jewel toned colors with shimmer to them because we are having an Indian/Bollywood theme for the new Cheetah girls movie.

Well, she tells me that she loves the cake and we discuss flavors and precise colors. I had bought some of the stuff I needed to decorate it anyway. It was going to be all fondant icing. This was inspired by one of the cakes I saw on the Food Network Challenge show.

So she starts crying and says she hates cake. I realize she never eats it at parties and she says she hates any kinds of cakes but she has to have one because that is what she is SUPPOSED to do and I worked so hard on her beautiful design she wanted to have one just for me.

I told her she didnt have to have cake that it was her birthday and she could do whatever she wanted. She opted for just vanilla ice cream. We might look into getting her an ice cream cake instead.
