She said something about the other 3rd grade classes, and I said that one class had a child that has been pretty mean to DS, and that they'd been in the same class for the 3 previous years. She asked who, and I hesitated, then said his name, and which class I thought he was in. I said as pleased as we were that they did not share a class this year, we would take a class with that child in it over the current situation. Obviously my preference would be another class altogether.
She mentioned something, the gist of which I thought was that there are children like this little twerp in all the classes. They try to divvy up the behavioral problems evenly among the classes, and I get that. And I told her that. I told her our preference was just to move him, not so much which other class he winds up in.
So we'll see what happens. She's going to talk with the teachers, and try to get back to me sometime tomorrow afternoon. By then DS will have been in the current class for 3 days. I didn't want to take a wait and see approach, because I thought it might be harder to move him the longer it goes. So hopefully it won't be difficult for him if he does get moved after 3 days.
