Chatterbox Thread-Cmon in and Jabber! Everyone is Welcome!

NO, you silly girl!! Sometimes I feel like I'm 80 then I look in the mirror and yell out "oh crap"! LOL... I'm over 40 now and I love it when they ask DH how old he is (since he's younger than me) and they say Oh My! I thought you were much older...:rotfl2:

Oh I yell out *crap* everyday when I look in the mirror and realize it’s just me! Rflol :lmao:

Hey pixie, you should not focus on wanting to be married, marriage has it ups and downs.. and like wendy and kel has said, eventually long time down the road, you will meet that one someone who will take your heart away and before you know it you will be engaged and he will be soo nice to you and treat you like his queen.. but until then you got to make yourself happy and stop pushing yourself into things you don’t want to do or feel..you and I we are only 30, we have our whole lives to get married, we have lots of time, so don’t even stress, :thumbsup2

You know when we hung out I saw that you bend over backward to make the other person happy.. and you although that is so sweet of you and a good trait, sometimes in life and in relationships it’s ok to be selfish a little bit for yourself..

Yesterday I felt upset with my mom (long story but it was basically he said something to me that is coming from a caring point but it just came out wrong and made me feel worse).

I'm pretty sure I would be upset with my mom also if she were a HE!:scared1:J/K!lol.

Hi everyone... I don't travel to this part of the boards much, but I hope I can jump in and join in on the festivities! I see lots of familiar faces here :goodvibes..

Welcome Wendy!:):):)

As for me today I go in for my lovely mamo. Not looking forward as the last time I had one they really squeezed the you know what out of me and I remember it really hurting. Esp the part where they squeeze your back! Now my b@@bs actually are hurting so I am REALLY not looking forward to having them squished! I don't know if it is from all the hormones I have been taking or what but they have been really sore lately so this is not going to be fun! But alas it must be done! Soo I am doing that and running some errands.

I can assure you that squishing them in a mammo machine hurts far less then getting one chopped off.:thumbsup2 You should look for an office with a newer machine. Try a specialty breast clinic, as they tend to have newer machines that don't need to squish as hard.:thumbsup2

Kelly- thank you. I was just thinking of how I am not where I want to be at in life and just thought that I would be married by now and have a better job, etc.

Too funny...those of us that were married when we turned 30 were probably thinking we would rather be single!:lmao:

hi!, my name is shellymouse, and im a chatterbox....

mind if i join you all?:upsidedow

Hi Shelly and welcome!:):):)

You know when we hung out I saw that you bend over backward to make the other person happy.. and you although that is so sweet of you and a good trait, sometimes in life and in relationships it’s ok to be selfish a little bit for yourself..

I don't think I "bend over backwards" to make others happy. It may be a cultural thing on how I was raised. I was taught to always think of the other person first and to not be selfish. It doesn't mean become a doormat and let others control you or boss you around or something like that, but I was taught to be respectful of others. Some of my friends are the same way but it doesn't mean that we let others control us or anything like that.

I do things because I want to and not because I feel I have to or am trying hard to get a person to like me. That's not the case at all. I don't expect things in return from people. Even my own family members and friends tell me that and they don't think of it as a negative thing.

Just wanted to clarify things and clear the air. :rose:

Morning and happy Friday! TGIF!! Last day before the big weekend!! :)

Last night we had a really fun time! We went to the Zoo/car show and it was perfect weather and a lot of the animals were out and it was just a really fun time. Then afterwards we went to leatherbys for some ice cream so it was a fun outing. I guess they have several events in the evening time so we might try to go to some more. The only bad part was they were REALLY unprepared foodwise and ALL they had was hamburgers and hotdogs which normally would be fine but I had JUST had a hamburger for lunch and really wanted a salad but they were out of EVERYTHING else on their menu and Katy didn't want a burger either but oh well.

Anyway now today it is back to work and then tonight we have swim practice. Shane has been working in the bay area so chances are we will be going alone since he hasn't been getting home till late. Then tomorrow I am hoping we will go see eclipse sometime and otherwise not much on the agenda except just hanging out. Sunday we are going to mom's and not sure about Monday yet but hopefully something fun since everyone has the day off!!

That's bout it for me. Hope everyone has a GREAT day and hope you all have some fun weekend plans for the 4th!!

Happy Birthday Rochelle!!!!

I am back from my mammo. I got in there and AFTER they had squeezed the life out of me she says, are you wearing deodorant? Uh YEAH it is like 90 degrees outside. Well they failed to mention you aren't supposed to! I have only had one other one and that was three years ago. So I didn't remember and NO ONE told me this time soooo I had to stop and try to get it off and then do it ALL over again! YAY!! Just what I wanted to do when they were ALREADY hurting. UGH! But at least that's over and this time they didn't seem to have to do as much as the first one I had. That one they did more of the side stuff like for the lymph nodes or whatever.

Now I just have to wait and wonder till I hear anything but hopefully all is well!

I had my first mammo last year and it wasn't as bad as I thought.. The scarriest part for me was when the tech took my gown and was like, we don't need this anymore :scared1: Uh Lady, I just met you :scared1: The squisshy part wasn't too bad I looked down and laughed because they looked a lot bigger than I thought they were :rotfl2:

These next few days can be a little unnerving.. I am hoping for good news!

Rochelle - HAPPY BIRTHDAY:bday::cake:Sending lots of good wishes pixiedust: and I hope you have a wonderful birthday party:

Thanks Mel  You are sweet and awesome as always

I felt better yesterday evening and actually went out on a random trip with my little sister and met up with my close gf. My little sis and I went to Calabasas and went to this cool food truck event. It's not roach coach food :rotfl: It's gourmet food trucks that are always around Los Angeles. The crowd was insane and it felt like I was waiting in line at a rock concert. :faint: My sis and I tried to get crepes but the line was too long. The worst lines were for dumplings and for grilled cheese. They had lots of security around to try to keep the lines for each food truck flowing smoothly.

We ended up waiting a long time and the line just wasn't moving, and it was 86 degrees outside. :faint: I got a text from a friend and she said to just bail it and to go meet up with her somewhere. So we ended up meeting at the mall and had a great time.

This morning I get to work and my co-workers totally pimped my desk. I thought it was really nice of them and very awesome. Here is a pic:

There are more balloons but it's just not in the photo :) I have my minnie mouse ear clips on and my co-workers love it. :dogdance:

Hope you guys have a good day. :cheer2:

Hi everyone, I'm back! Well for a minute anyway! For those of you that I don't know, hello! I'm Christina!

So I think I'm finally all moved in, it was not without stress, but I wont' bore you all with the details. I just wanted to pop in to say hi. I'm not going to spy on you all over the past couple of days and see what you've all been up to.

Btw pixter, I love how you always take pictures where ever you are. I love looking at the pics. So cool.

Bernice did it happen to mention HOW they do the injections? They don't have to somehow inject it directly INTO the bladder do they?

I read the surgeon makes several injections into the bladder, but the patient is under anesthesia. I've read a bit about IC, all I can say is OUCH and hope you can find some relief soon.

Hi everyone... I don't travel to this part of the boards much, but I hope I can jump in and join in on the festivities! I see lots of familiar faces here :goodvibes..

Hello! The more the better and livelier the conversation. Moving here fomr the regular community boards breathed some new life into the group.. woohooo! It was fun having to read several pages for a change. :goodvibes

Kelly- thank you. I was just thinking of how I am not where I want to be at in life and just thought that I would be married by now and have a better job, etc. I talked to my friends about it and my therapist and they just said to focus on all the good that I do have and all the positive things that will happen in the future.

I recall turning 29 was hard but, 30 was not a big deal.. weird huh?
I was just talking of this with dh. I just turned 40, I don't have a career and nothing much to show.. or so I thought. But my dear sweet dh pointed out the positives and having a career wasn't my goal in life anyway right?? oh yeah :lovestruc

When you are in the midst of the busy day to day of life, you forget the positives and how far you have come despite the curve balls and major events life throws at you. Take a step back, breathe and smile. Be proud of who you are today.

hi!, my name is shellymouse, and im a chatterbox....

mind if i join you all?:upsidedow

Hello!

30 is just a number
::yes::

I'm over 40 now and I love it when they ask DH how old he is (since he's younger than me) and they say Oh My! I thought you were much older...:rotfl2:

DH gets that too, we're 3 years apart and his co workers do the puzzled look shake of disbelief when they find out our ages. :lmao:
I got lucky and grabbed the good "young" genes out of the pool. :thumbsup2

Hi everyone, I'm back!
So I think I'm finally all moved in, it was not without stress, but I wont' bore you all with the details.

But details are the fun part of life!
Hope you settle in quickly without further stress. Are you being pulled in 30 directions to catch up with family and friends? I bet they are glad to have you close again. :)
