My little sister was here and we watched Totoro. She had never seen it before and she liked it.

Hey, pix!

I think I'm going to buy that DVD. It looks so cute, and I think DS4 would really love it! I wonder if my (Japanese) GF has it already? Her kids are bi- (actually tri-) lingual and I bet they'd love it, too! :thumbsup2

So here's what transpires....

My SIL is standing up at the counter in an arcade with her youngest DS to turn in his tickets for a prize. My sister is on the other side of the arcade with my DS and my nephew. SIL obviously recognizes Tyler, but of course Procotor Mom doesn't recognize her. So SIL grabs DS and runs to tell my sister.

My sister approached them and said hello. Proctor Mom and her aunt instantly guard Tyler. He starts saying no go, no, no, no, stay, stay and grabs Proctor Mom's leg. He has NEVER done that before, they are just absolutely brainwashing him. Anyway my sister say's hello Tyler (after I'm sure proctor mom's jaw hits the floor) and told him not to worry that she wasn't there to take him. Anyway, proctor mom is still obviously in shock and my sister says Tyler would you like to play a video game with mom. So he walks over to a video game and proctor mom and her aunt accompany them, never more than 2 inches away from them the whole time.

My sister informs them that she is not planning on taking Tyler, that she is going to let a judge decide and they can back off. Which of course they don't. My sister then asks if she can have him to visit for the weekend, they say no, of course not, we are at the beach! So she ask when they are getting home. PM's response is Saturday, so my sister asks if she can come by and pick him up Saturday night. The answer is no. Then they tell her that they are paying an attorney lots of money, and that he can't be taken out of Oregon (to my house in WA). Of course that is completely wrong. If you have custody of a kid, it doesn't matter if he goes across the state line with someone else, you still have legal custody. My sister tells them that her attorney informed her otherwise. PM starts to get argumentative, so my sister says fine....I will keep him in Oregon. They eventually tell her she can stop by at Sunday around 11am and pick him up for a short visit as long as she keeps him in Oregon. My sister played a few more video games with him, then she politely told him goodbye and that she would visit him again in a few days.

I seriously doubt if they will let her have him on Sunday. Somehow I'm betting they won't be home. Anyway, my sister was pretty wigged out by the way he acted. I told her not to worry, they've just been filling his head full of stuff. It will be ok in the end.

Oh and PM informs my sister that they are spending a lot of money on an attorney and they don't want to let him go out of state. My sister looks at PM and say's yes, I'm spending a lot of money on attorney's also, when that money could better be spent to help Tyler, instead of wasted on attorney's. But I have faith in the judge and the law and I don't intend to argue with you here in an arcade in front of Tyler.

OMG!!! I still can't believe that they drove to the beach to get away from things and look what happens. I know my sister was very happy to see him and I have to believe that she has an angel guiding her right now. My SIL never goes to Seaside in the middle of the week, have no idea why she decided to do it, really I think just to help my sister and keep her busy and get her mind off of things. This is just so freakin' weird!

Want to know something else weird, when they were on the way to Seaside, my sister says to my SIL "Yeah, we'll probably see Tyler here, they sometimes go to the beach".

I know that PM's attorney got served with the paper's yesterday. My sister's attorney said that they should know by the first of the week when the hearing will be. My sister's attorney said he imagined that her attorney probably told her to drop the case. She probably won't, but he is guessing that her attorney won't want to spend a huge amount of time and effort on a case that doesn't have a snowball's chance.

So I'm kind of wondering if PM took him to the beach this weekend thinking that it might be sort of a last trip with him. Who knows.:confused3 I told my sister that when the court makes the decision, she might run with him. It won't surprise me if she does.

I just can't believe that she is having to go through all of this. I'm just hoping that I can keep her busy this weekend so she doesn't have a lot of time to ponder things. I can tell when she sits and starts thinking she's really stressed out. Honestly I think she aged about 20 years this week. We just have to keep her busy, otherwise she starts getting that worried look on her face and then starts crying.

Even though I'm not the sort of person that believes in just sueing people for anything. I told her that I think she should sue her and the Works Unlimited company that had the contract with her and the state to provide care.

Her attorney did tell her that he had to address that in the request for dismissal. Apparently you have to state if you intend to countersue or you can ask the judge to decide if it's appropriate. Her attorney said they will ask a judge to decide. She doesn't have to countersue, but if a judge says she can, then she can sometime in the future. If the judge says no, then she can't. My sister is ok either way, she just want's her son back.

Oh and the Oregon State Dept. of Disabilities called her and told her they are now re-doing all of their Proctor Parent contracts because of this. They apologized immensely to her once again. They are going to add a clause that Proctor Parents must sign saying they won't seek custody. Instead the State woud have to sue for custody, then decide to give the child to proctor parents. They are also going to ask the legislature to consider a new law regarding this when they get back in session this fall.

You know this is probably going to sound a bit wacky, but then again I guess I am a bit wacky. But I truly believe that my mother is an angel and that she is helping guide out lives. Every since she passed away I've had strange things like that happen, things that are a billion to one odds. Things I've done for no apparent reason, but then a huge reason makes itself clear.

I was telling you guys once about whenever I hear the chimes on my back porch ringing, it's my mother. The wind has to blow just the right way here for it to reach my chimes and it doesn't happen very often. But my sister was sitting on the back deck smoking (yes, she quit years ago, but started up this week again). Anyway, the wind started blowing from the NW and coming right down into our yard from the hill, the chime my sister was sitting under was ringing like crazy and then all the rest started. I knew my mother was there and was trying to tell us it would be ok. I'm still nervous about all of this, but a part of me is very calm inside because I know she's helping us.

  Good gravy!! I can't believe that all happend!! This whole thing is just bizarre and crazy. I'm so sorry that you and your sister have to go through this. I hope everything works out.

Oh and I don't think it's weird what you said about your mom. :grouphug:

Yes! I'm sure he would love it! It's awesome :) Dakota and Elle Fanning are so cute! They did a great job on the voice-overs. :thumbsup2 I think Best Buy, Target and even disneyshopping.com sell the DVD.

Oh really? I've never seen it, but I found it on Overstock and Amazon. (Less @ Overstock, of course.) :thumbsup2

Oh... and I just wanted to tell you guys that I am oddly pleased by how much meat I have in the freezer..:lmao:

I saw that just before coming back to the hyena thread. I shuddered, wondering why DS4 hadn't thought of doing that yet... And thanking my lucky stars! :lmao:

:lmao: dh and I watched the whole thing.. We were horrified at first, then laughed our BUTTS off! She didnt WANT to come out!:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

That is scary and funny at the same time. She's like: leave me alone! I want to be with the toys! :rotfl:

You waxed rhapsodic earlier today. I was a little concerned by your fervor... :lmao:

Indeed you should be.. I am a little concerned myself. :lmao: :lmao: I usually get a little freaked out by spending large amounts of money, and trust me, the amount I spent on food today is LARGE. But I am oddly at ease tonight. BROKE AS HELL.. But at ease..:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Dh just went to grab a snack out of the kitchen.. Would you like some... MEAT??:rotfl2: We seem to have lots of it. :flower3: :rotfl2:

I think I am pleased because I have been wanting to see if I could do most of my shopping at the farmers market, and the meat market.. Only buying a little stuff from the grocery store.. Flour, sugar, cereal.. Popcicles.. nilla wafers :rolleyes1 :lmao: It seems as though it IS possible! Not something I could do ALL the time, but something I will aim for.

I KNOW!! I can so see Mikalah doing that! Good thing she would never fit!:lmao: OMG!! I havent told you guys!! Since we have started doing tons of stuff this summer... Mikalah is SKINNY! Its astounding. No more baby chub. :guilty: Very sad about that. But very glad I can now pick her up without throwing out my back.
No that is more than funny. The guy cleaning the windows made me laugh to. Like "just another day so I'll clean the window." :lmao:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: We were SO waiting for him to go over and clean the glass on the machine!:rotfl2:

Cool! And the fewer trips you make to the store, the less "junk" buying you do, too! I will be curious how much it winds up saving you in the long run if you can keep it up! :thumbsup2
