Me? No, no, not me. Just curious where you picked it up... :rolleyes1

I'm very sorry, Dizzy! I just thought the :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: and the  with the  was kinda funny... But I did not mean to offend you. :guilty:

Please come back!!! :worship:

So what's new this evening?

My baby doc did wonders today and got DS4 an appointment with a dermatologist. So we saw her this afternoon, and she took a look. She said everything she sees on his skin looks like eczema, so that's a relief. The hives on his face are gone by now, of course. So no staph to worry about, and it's a relief to just worry about clearing up the eczema.

I asked about swim class (which he hasn't been able to attend yet), and she said yes, he can go. So he'll go for the first time on the 3rd lesson tomorrow. :rotfl:

So this evening we are armed with a tub of ointment to slather on him twice a day. Sounds lovely, doesn't it? I thought it was supposed to be a cream this time, but when DH picked it up, it's a clear ointment, just like petroleum jelly. :confused3

At least we don't have to worry about running out anytime soon. ;)

:thumbsup2 Awesome! Hopefully it will be cleared up really soon!

Well.. Our morning started off kinda crappy. Took Mikalah to her swimming lesson and she had a FIT. Didnt want anything to do with it. She was in the pool, holding onto her teacher bawling! So we took her home. Then she was FINE!! We got ready to take Alex to his soccer thing, and I asked if she wanted to go swimming, and she said yes..:confused3 So we went. Her teacher is also a lifeguard at the pool, and we saw her there.. She talked to Mikalah for a bit, and asked if she was better, and Mikalah was like.. YEAH!!

So we swam, and Mikalah did great! Then her teacher left, and came over to say good bye to Mikalah, and told her that she hoped she came to class on Monday.

Then we picked up Alex from soccer.. and he had swimming. He is doing great to! I see lots of improvement from him. He said he doesn want to swim in the fall, but really wants to try gymnastics. Okay.. Sure, why not? Of EVERYTHING there is.. Thats what he wants to do.

I'm glad Mikalah is over her little issue, whatever that was. Am I getting my days mixed up? Did she refuse to swim yesterday, too, or was that just today (and I read about it earlier in the day)?

I know swimming isn't DS7's favorite thing to do in colder weather, either, unless it's for a party or something of course. ;)

He seems to be drawn to team sports, but DS4 is not quite ready for that, but does well with individual things like swimming and gymnastics. Well, if we can get to the swimming, that is.

So tomorrow should be interesting, since it will be his first time in the water without Mama or Daddy. I hope he does OK...

It was just today. She LOVES to swim.. Alex isnt a big fan. I think he just gets cold to fast.. He needs some meat on his bones!:lmao: Is your pool outdoors??

I dont know why Alex is so interested in gymnastics. But he just thinks it is the coolest thing! Whatevers clever yo.

Our Y's pool is indoors, and DS4 gets cold easily, too. We were putting a swim shirt (rash guard or whatever they're called) on him. He wasn't lasting the whole class (half an hour), 20 - 25 mins. only. But that was when he was 2yo, I guess. It must have been spring of last year (2007) when we quit going, so over a year ago.

So that's a good reminder, I need to find his little swim shirt!

Oh, and DS4 loves gymnastics! And he's quite good at it.

DS7 is doing it, too, just for the summer. He's really enjoying it, but I don't think he loves it like DS4, you know? Not like he loves basketball.

I thought Mikalah might have some issues with swimming without us.. She is right on the cusp of doing the mommy and me classes, or just taking them on her own. We thought she really might do better without us in the pool... Boy HOWDY were we right! :lmao:

Now I wonder if she would do even better if we werent sitting there watching.. KWIM?? She is always looks at us, we are a bit of a distraction for her. I know Alex does fine if I am not there watching..

Yeah, I wonder about that with DS4, too. He did fine in preschool, but when Daddy was coaching his soccer team he was constantly goofing off or hanging on Daddy or otherwise "taking advantage." DH got really frustrated with him.

Dizzy's son had a similar experience when her DH was coaching, but now that he started t-ball (Daddy isn't coaching) he's doing great! So maybe DS4 will do better without Daddy as his coach, too. We'll see. :)

I wonder what my kids are going to love.. Right now Alex is loving soccer.. I secretly hope that will be his thing. He has the build for it, you know? All wiry and quick. Frelan is convinced that Mikalah will be our Olympic swimmer.. But she really wants to do gymnastics to!:lmao: WHo knows!! Maybe they will be a championship brother sister bowling team!:lmao: :lmao:

I know, I'm all for the kids doing stuff they love, but want them to try other things, too. And not just sports, either, but other hobbies or interests, like chess (DS7 is just learning but already plays well, according to DH, who is vert good), math and reading, singing/drama, musical instruments, etc.

DS7 thinks several steps ahead (just like DH), which is why I knew he'd have a good head for chess. He doesn't much care for music class at school, which surprised me, because he used to love to sing and dance in preschool.

DS4 is always singing or humming, so I'd be totally shocked if he hates music class once he starts school. I think he'd love dance, but I haven't ever had him in a dance class. Although I did put him in a sort of preschool drama class because he's such a ham. And he HATED it! He suddenly turned shy, hid his face and refused to participate when it was his turn!

Guess my boys take after me a bit more than I realized. :rotfl2:

:lmao: :lmao: You know.. I dont see myself in my kids much at all. Alex is like some odd mix between dh and his bio dad.. Its very odd. He has a lot of both of their traits. I know his love of sports comes from his bio dad.. but his excessive nerdiness comes from Frelan.. :lmao:

Mikalah.. she looks like Frelan.. But Im not sure who her personality is more like. Me I guess. She is high strung, and demanding. So I guess she is like me, the more I think about it.

I see Alex being alot more like Frelan.. but sportier. He does well in school.. So he gets that from me... I dont know! :lmao:
