I know my BIL had those "I'm going to die.." moments as well, he is a diabetic but it's under control.

He has had a few anxiety attacks where he was convinced it was a heart attack.


His bio father is alive and just fine, his dad (who raised him) died of prostrate cancer a few years ago --- no spring chicken- I believe he was in his 70's?

It's probably spelled "nalgas" then. "Nolgas" would be pronounced to rhyme with "mole", "nole-gahs".

There is a street we passed on the way to LAX that is Nogales.. I called it Nalgas Street and launched into a long silly story about living on a street filled with butt cheeks.

OMG, Word Girl just caught the bad guy (an evil granny who stole a crown), and her own brother (who doesn't know Word Girl is his sister) sang a song praising her. Word Girl looked horrified, even a little ill. Not sure if that was due to his poor singing or the fact that her brother was half-in love with Word Girl!

Alright, I just came to the realization that today is not the 9th, and I do not have to bring snacks to tball. The bad news, is instead of a 6pm game it is a 5pm game - so off to get ready for tball

Oooo! Breaking news: There's been some sort of settlement of the Seattle v. Sonics court case. Apparently the judge's ruling was due any minute, and they just got word that some out of court settlement has been reached. Press conference about it at 5PM...

Tried watching it, but the sound was too low so the kids wouldn't hear. (DS4 is right next to me, and they're watching a Popeye cartoon.) Didn't work, I couldn't follow what he was talking about well enough, maybe later.

Family effort for the day: purchasing furniture at Ikea AND building it!

Lately anything IKEA on Craiglist (used) is priced just $25-$50 less than buying it new.


ummmmmmmmmmm I think I will buy it new and not have to worry about making it fit in our Rav4 or worry about if it was damaged.



I bought two dressers for the boys, MALM 3 drawer, one was in the as-is area (savings of 40%).

One dresser, 4 drawer MALM, for hubby and I found in the as-is section (savings of 44%).

The boys are the proud owners of a bunk bed

We just finished building it and tossing the beds on-- whew!

Hardwork, many many pieces of wood
Decided enough for today and will put together dresser tomorrow afternoon.


I love how much space the boys now have in their tiny room! Looks much neater!
