Chasing a Dream: September Trip Report Update 12/11 FINAL THOUGHTS/TRIP FAVORITES

ONE Week From Today We Will (HOPEFULLY) be on our way to the Happiest Place on Earth!!!!

I am like an addict, checking the National Hurricane Center every 5 minutes…… I can handle the rain, won’t be thrilled with it, but I just want our flights down and back to be smooth!!! I am just not comfortable flying so if we have bad turbulence, I may have a heart attack/stroke or both!! Not to mention how the kids would do.

But anyway, thinking POSITIVE, here it comes….

“THIS TIME NEXT WEEK…….”

This time next week we will be boarding a plane headed to Orlando.

Then after a SMOOTH ride, we will see this sign (except it will be Pop Century):

And then board a bus like this one, taking us to our WONDERFUL, HURRICANE FREE, DREAM WINNING DESTINATION!!!

After checking in at this resort, we will drift to sleep and then awaken bright and early the next morning for our adventures to begin!

A reminder popped up today for me to order my water from Costco. I plan to do it by Friday, I just keep looking to see where Ike is headed to make sure we will be in the clear for take off next Wednesday!

I bought the kids mp3 players and loaded them up with Disney songs, so they can listen to that on the plane. In my carry on I plan to take our travel dvd, mp3 players, a book for me, Hunter's Nintendo DS, wallets, cell phone, travel documents.... Am I missing anything?

Ok I have a question and I know I'll probably look dumb but how do you order water from Costco? I've tried to get on their site and find it for the past few weeks but I cannot except the spring water and we are not spring water people? Are you talking about that or am I missing something I really need to find? I would love to have a couple cases of their bottled water in the room!

The pics are sooo cute! I play the one week from today game a lot! I am now playing the "two weeks from today" game! lol.. 2 weeks from today right now Cheryl and I are going to be drinking a large pitcher of sangria and dinner at Spoodles! I can't wait!
My water got there a day late last trip because they don't count the weekend days and I had a holiday in there. I'm going to ship mine about 6 days ahead to make sure it's waiting for me!

I try to keep telling myself that but have you seen the latest news on Ike? Looks like Florida could take a direct hit!!! I am starting to get depressed.

Well Ike looks like he is moving pretty fast so even if he does hit it shouldn't be too bad, in and out in a day tops. WDW does a great job taking car of guests during hurricanes. And who knows he may change course or lose strength. Just think positive thoughts!

Thanks for the encouragement my friends..... I'm hanging on to hope, I have until 24 hours prior to cancel the trip with cancellation fees, so I will not cancel unless I absolutely have to!!

Catch up with some characters:

And watch some great shows:

Then we might enjoy some ice cream:

After we end our day here, we will head to Ohana's to dine with some dis-friends and then head to MK for Spectromagic & Wishes!!!!

You and me both! I am becoming way too familiar with terms such as wind shear, high pressure..... I am starting to understand all this stuff, which is kind of scary!

This guy at work just brought me a pack of peanut m&m's (my favorite) to try and make me feel better. I asked him if he was trying to make me fat to go along with my depression!

Rachel was even talking about "Disney World" and "Minnie Mouse" in her sleep last night..... She is so excited. I'm hopeful that Ike will take a turn to the north, it looks like a lot of models are predicting this. Hopefully we'll know more by Saturday or Sunday. (Do I sound like a meteorologist now?! )

Yes, we definitely plan to hit Toy Story first. I certainly do not want to wait in a 2 hour line to ride it!! It will be a long day.....but if I can just get there I will definitely not complain!!!

Yesterday I was about to give up, felt sorry for myself, and just bawled in the car on the way home from work.... but I'm trying to be a little more upbeat today, thinking its far enough south, we will still be able to get there.

Okay, I'm going to continue my "This time next week...." installments, even though yesterday I was ready to throw in the towel because of that pesky Hurricane Ike.

THIS TIME NEXT WEEK WE WILL HEAD TO ANIMAL KINGDOM!!!

We have a breakfast scheduled first thing in the a.m. at Donald's Safari Breakfast. Hope to make it out in time for rope drop and head first to KS.

We may meet up with this guy:

Then catch some cute shows:

And ride some rides:

Maybe even get a little soaked on Kali River Rapids?

Then we'll head back to POP for some R&R before heading out to EPCOT later in the evening.

We have a 8:40 ressie at LeCellier, so we should be able to take in a few things before our dinner:

This is late hours at EPCOT so we'll see how long we can make it this night because we get up EARLY the next day to head to MK & breakfast with !!!
