Chasing a Dream: September Trip Report Update 12/11 FINAL THOUGHTS/TRIP FAVORITES

Again, I want to thank all of you who have taken time to read my TR, it has been fun sharing it with you. This trip was wonderful, even better than our 1st trip, which a lot of people say is hard to do, but trust me, it was just as magical the 2nd time! :lovestruc My kids absolutely  Disney, and ask a LOT when we are going back. I think they kind of expect that we go every year now, but unfortunately DH or the budget won't allow that to happen! :rotfl2: But I do plan to make it back at least in a couple years, it brings so much joy to me, especially seeing how much joy it brings the kids. Disney is a magical place, there is nothing like it. I'm still amazed each time I go back at the little things you didn't notice before.

I thought I would post everyone's favorites/must do's from our trip.

DH:

Restaurant: Most Definitely Ohana's!! He talks about this place a lot, anytime Disney World is mentioned, this is what he thinks of! :rotfl2:

Ride: RnRC

Favorite Park: DHS

I think the main thing for DH is the crowds at Disney. And we went in the lowest crowd time there is! So the next trip may be a trip without DH, I'm not sure? :confused3 Depends on what time of year we go. I would love to see all the Christmas decorations but I will take Disney whenever I can!

Me:

Restaurant LeCellier!!

Ride(s) ToT, RnRC, EE, TSM

Park: This is tough, I honestly don't think I could pick one park as my favorite. There are so many things that I love at each park for different reasons. Each park is a must do for me, so I'll leave it at that!! :goodvibes

DS:

Restaurant: I would have to say that Hunter's favorite restaurant was LeCellier. He LOVES steak, and he ate every bit of it. For Character Meals, his favorite is Chef Mickey's (for the characters - the food isn't great).

Ride(s): Test Track, Mission Space, Space Mountain, RnRC, TSM

Park: Magic Kingdom, although this is a close call because he really enjoys all the parks. He is at a good age where he can do everything and he loves it all.

One of his absolute favorite things this trip was trading pins. I am so glad I decided to let them do that this year.

DD:

Restaurant Cinderella's Royal Table. Really any character meal, she doesn't go for the food! :lmao: We went to 1900 Park Fare this year, which I personally liked better than CRT, but I think the stepsisters yelling kind of freaked her out a little!

Ride: It's a Small World is her absolute favorite. But she enjoys most of the rides in MK. She is a scaredy cat, so a lot of the rides in the others parks scare her. She doesn't like the 3D shows, so she didn't like TSM.

Park: Without a doubt, Magic Kingdom!

We all love (even DH) the shows, DH loves Mickey's Philharmagic and Bug's Life, me and Rachel love VOTLM, Beauty & The Beast, and DS loves Bug's Life, Lion King. We love them all (except Rachel with the 3D shows). But I think these are a must do if you visit Disney.

My favorite moments from this trip were:
1) Winning Dreams!!!
2) Our photo with all the characters in Epcot Character Connection
3) Rachel's BBB appointment
4) Watching Hunter trade pins/talk with the CM's
5) Enjoying Disney with my Best Friend and her family

One thing we have yet to see is Spectromagic and Wishes! So that is on the top of my list when we do get to go back. I also hope next time we can slow things down and enjoy things a little more. We did do that more this time than our first trip, so I guess that gets better every time, but I would like for the kids to be able to play on the HISTK playground for a while and things like that, enjoy our resort a little more, take advantage of the pools, etc.

It has been great making a lot of "dis friends" and even though I don't get to go back for a while, I will still be an active member on the dis boards, and I can't wait to read about those of you who have trips coming up, and I am enjoying reading TR's from others currently. :grouphug:

I can't believe that I was gone this long that I didn't see your TR had ended. Thank you for sharing your family adventures with us. It's been fun meeting you. I'm headed over to your sister's TR to find out how she won such a great dream!!!!
Take care and see you on the DIS :thumbsup2
