Not really Disney related in the strict sense, but Southwest has a significant presence at MCO and I'm asking in the interest of flying down to WDW, so it does has some relationship to Disney, FWIW...

Anyway, has anyone ever converted their Chase Ultimate Reward points to Southwest Points? Is it a good value to do so, or would I be better off just cashing the points out for cash and paying for a ticket that way?

Thanks for any insight...

I just did this yesterday. They convert 1 to 1 and posted almost immediately to my Southwest account. I was able to book one way from MDW to SAN for 9500 points. It is a great deal!

Sorry to jump in with my own question, but how do you convert them over? I have both and haven't been using my ultimate rewards card since we're trying to get all the southwest points we can, but have some ultimate reward points just chiiling. Thanks for the help,

looks like they are a good 1-1 deal...... how did you do it? online or by phone?

It looks and sounds as if transferring into SW points would actually get you a higher value of redemption:

I believe that 10,000 points would = $100 if you were to just cash out (correct me if I'm wrong, I have a Chase SW CC and not a regular Chase with these rewards)

Whereas 10,000 points > 10,000 SW points = $166.67 in SW value

That's exactly what I was wondering, and that's actually much better than I thought. Thanks!
