Thanks Amanda !! BOG was good. I would try to get a FP for it though. Standing in line to eat wasn't a great experience in that super hot sun.

Yacht Club is gorgeous, but you can't rent points to stay there. It isn't a DVC resort. Beach Club is, though.

I think the heat is less bothersome when the crowds are lower. We went last year during September and they we having an abnormal cool front and the weather was amazing.

Don't think for a second that I wasn't tempted. I just keep hoping it is a phase he grows out of. They won't let him wear it at school.

It was good, but I am not sure it was good enough for me to wait in that line again. I am glad we did it once, but I like other places better and the kids didn't like the food there.

Day 5  Part 4

When I last left off, we were leaving Magic Kingdom and were headed to the pool. We had decided to spend the whole afternoon at the pool since we had not spent enough time there and our trip was nearing an end. So we had to make it a priority. So we all got ready and headed down to the pool.

DD got right in line for the slide.



Near the end of the trip, the shutter on the camera wasnt opening all of the way, so some of my photos turned out like this.

The pool was much less crowded that day.

I found a nice shady spot to sit.



I caught up on my trip journal and generally relaxed. A waitress came around and took drink orders, so I got a Pina Colova.



It is a Pina Colada with raspberry puree in it, but you couldnt taste the raspberry at all. It was pretty, but it tasted like your run of the mill pina colada. Meh.

We hung out at the pool for several hours and I headed in while DH stayed with DD. I got some lobby photos.







And I checked out the gift shop.



They had this carpeting everywhere. It was really cute, but very dirty looking. Especially in the hallways.



I got myself a t-shirt





After a while, DH and DD came back up from the pool. DD wanted to go to Beaches and Cream to eat. DS wanted to explore on his own, so we said OK.

DD looks adorable dressed as Charlotte Singedskull. Just a perfect outfit. I would suspect that makeup had to be melting in the hot sum. You have more patience than me to be able to stand there melting while alternately getting poked by an umbrella.

Yeah - I have no idea how your DS can wear that cap in 100 degree weather. Ahh youth!

Lunch looks yummy! How could people stand in line all that time and STILL not know what they wanted.

Thanks !! She really enjoyed the experience. Yeah that lady was really wild with that umbrella - twirling it and everything. We had to take two huge steps back in order not to get poked. And that wasn't easy with a line a people behind us. I finally had to say something to her.

We're hoping to have lunch at BOG next month. I've read better reviews for lunch than dinner. It appears the service is quick. Were you able to wander around the castle and look in the other rooms after your meal?

Yes, we did get to look around and see the other rooms. That place is HUGE !!

I don't think they realized how popular it was going to be. What do they do when it is POURING down rain?? They need a cover, but I won't blame them if they don't build one. It won't be very pretty.

This was the Tuesday after Labor Day, so we got lucky with the crowds. We went the Saturday after we got there and it was packed !!

I never noticed the carpet with the Mickey heads.

I have discovered Mickey Heads in all of the resort carpets.

Day 5 – Part 5

When I last left off, DH, DD and I were headed to Beaches and Cream. DS had gone off exploring by himself. We got ready and headed down to the restaurant.



We put our name in and got a pager. While we were waiting, I took some photos.





We were seated and we ordered right away. DH and I split a burger.



We ordered onion rings instead of fries, but she forgot so she just brought us out some onion rings.



DD got the macaroni and cheese.



While we were eating, the table next to us ordered the Kitchen Sink.



That thing is huge !!

For our own dessert, DH and I split the Milky Way Sundae





DD got mint chocolate chip on a sugar cone. She had her Birthday Button on and they flashed the light and sang Happy Birthday to her and gave her a balloon.







She was very happy about that.

After dinner, DD was tired and wanted to go back to the room, so DH took her up – DS was already there. He came back down and just DH and I went over to Epcot and watched Illuminations from the bridge between UK and France. We had the best view and it was just a few minutes away from Beach Club.

After that, we came back, packed up some things and did a last load of laundry and went to sleep.

Oh it has nothing to do with willpower. They just give you a ton of food and I hate seeing it go to waste. PLus, I had to save room for dessert. And it saves money. It just makes sense for us to split things.

Three tables got one that night. Only one group was able to finish. It is huge. A sight to behold !!
