Charlotte Singedskull and the Frozen Castle-Aug 30 thru Sept 4- Complete!

Love the quilt. I am going to get back into it one day.

My granddaughter is home. It took 2 enemas and over a gallon of a laxative mix delivered through a tube in her nose to get the blockage out. The drs said that they were amazed that it took that much, it should have cleaned an adult out sooner than it did her. She needs to be on an adult dose of laxatives twice a day indefinitely and has to see a gastroenterologist. We still have a long road ahead of us with her. So prayers are appreciated and we are thankful so many people are praying for her health.

All that makes my ankle seem like nothing. I had to stop wearing the brace for awhile as I broke out in a really bad rash from it so I'm hobbling a bit more. Surgery is still in the picture but not til next year. I want to wait til after the birth of my new grandchild whatever it is. My DD doesn't want to know although I think she is wavering. How'a your ankle doing?

I need to come up your way and check out the quilt shops. Plus, I would love to check out the archives in Lancaster for some genealogy stuff.

I had to take my DD to the ER for a similar reason. She just wouldn't GO like she should. After that visit, she has been really diligent about it. Doesn't want to repeat that again. I hope ypur granddaughter is better soon.

It is better, but it still hurts every day and needs ice. Just a long slow recovery. I have a recheck next week.

Day 6 Part 1

We got up and packed up our things and put them in the car. We had planned to go to Hollywood Studios on this day, but everyone was feeling like Epcot, so we walked over there.

DD still wanted her pirate gear on, so she was wearing that yarrr

We walked through an empty World Showcase again.

We got FPs for Soarin and headed over to Sunshine Seasons for some breakfast.

DD had a croissant, a banana and a drink which counts as one CS credit.

See her sword there? She was still loving the pirate thing.

DH and I split a bounty platter. Eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, french toast and a biscuit.

With some orange juice.

DS got the same thing with one of those ghastly Monster drinks.

We enjoyed breakfast and then headed over to Soarin to ride.

After that we hopped on Figment

DD and DH went off to ride Test Track while DS and I headed into Mouse Gear to see if they had some ear buds since his were broken. And he found these

Which he thinks are awesome so there is hope for him yet.

Next up the last update and closing thoughts

Epcot is my favorite park, which also has my favorite ride, Soarin', so I'd pick that over HS also.

Looks like you got your money's worth with Pirate's League! Always a good thing when that happens!

Both are my favorites as well !!

The quilt you made is absolutely beautiful! Those projects are definitely time consuming, but so rewarding in the end.

Hey you know, if it feels like an Epcot day, then it's an Epcot day, right?

Those are pretty cool ear buds. I may have to get some.....

All I have to do now is put the binding on today and wash it. Then I send it to her. And .... on to the next project.

I just love Epcot. It is my fve. And it was so nice to be so close by.

They were pretty cool and they are still working. He goes through those things fairly fast.

Back from our short trip to see the kids and catching up.

I would pick Epcot over the Studios too. :)

Breakfast looks yummy...I'll have to try that platter next time we go there.

I love the new earbuds DS picked out.

I hope you had a nice visit.

I wasn't mad about the change either. Epcot is my fave !!

It was your basic CS bounty platter, but ti was good and two of them fed three of us.

I love the new earbuds DS picked out.

I love them, too !!

I really hate last days!!!!!!

I know. It is always so sad. The only thing that helps when I get home is writing the TR and reliving my trip that way. Otherwise, the transition back to reality is so tough !!

As much as I like to plan, I always feel like I need to leave at least a couple of mornings kind of open. It is always nice to just wake up and feel like you want to go to EPCOT and just go. :thumbsup2

Nice find on the ear buds. :thumbsup2

We have have a morning or two when we sleep in a little. DH needs to feel like he is on vacation just a little bit !!

They are pretty cool.

Day 6 – Part 2

After DD and DH rode Test Track 2x in a row, we met them over at Mission Space.

We all rode that – green side.

DD traded some vinylmations in the gift shop. We had meant to do this more often during our trip, but just never remembered.

DD wanted to ride Figment again, so we did that.

DD wanted a popcorn bucket and I promised to get her one, so we did.

Super cute !!

We headed back over to World Showcase to get some lunch and DH ran into his cousin !!

She’s so pretty and sweet. It was good to see her. She lives about an hour away from WDW and she and her husband had taken the day to spend in Epcot.

We ate at the Yorkshire Fish Shop again.

We got the same thing we had a few days before.

We only got two meals and split them between DH, DD and I. DS went over the American Pavilion to get some chicken.

And that, my friends, is my last photo. After lunch we walked back to the Beach Club, sadly said goodbye to the wonderful resort and headed home.
We were there for six days and it honestly felt like two. We did so much, but there was so much we didn’t get done. And we didn’t spend nearly enough time at the pool. I think we need to stay a full week to get enough time in.

We loved the Beach Club. It was so comfortable and convenient. So far, this ranks as my children’s favorite resort. I love them all of the DVC resorts, but I still think Bay Lake is still may favorite.

Thanks so much to everyone for reading and taking the time to comment.

We go back in 45 more days. A day at the parks, 7 days on the Disney Fantasy and then two days in the parks. So I will definitely be reporting about that. We booked this cruise a year and a half ago and we are “scream-in-our-pillows” excited about it. I hope to see all you then and that you follow along.

Until then ….

Susan

That photo of your husband and his cousin is adorable. Definitely frameworthy! And you just randomly ran into them? I love when things like that happen.

We've done many five day trips to WDW and it never seems like enough time. I agree that a full week always seems right for me.

So sad to see your report come to an end, but I'm looking forward to reading about your next trip and seeing lots of photos from the cruise! So jealous!!

I have to tell you, Susan, I appreciate the fact that you get your trip reports done so quickly. While I've never written one myself, I've started reading many that have been adandoned for whatever reason.

Take care!

Nice last day and beautiful pictures.

Glad you enjoyed the Beach Club.

Do we overlap when you are there after your cruise? What are the two days you are there after?

Great report! Sorry its over but glad you have another trip to look forward to! You'll love the Fantasy!

Gosh it can't be over already. You are right. It feels like 2 days, not 6. But you will find no matter how many days you add it never seems like enough.
