Is there a listing anywhere of where to see certain characters without doing a character meal?

Can I find out where characters are located in the parks and at what times they appear?

Thanks for any responses!!:wave2:

Yes, but you will not find an accurate list in advance. When you arrive at the park there is a Daily times guide. The Times Guide will list the locations of the characters (most of which are all day). For MK for example there are characters in Town Square on Main Street (by the flag pole) through out the day. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs are usually in the Expo Hall, the Alice in Wonderland characters are usually at the Mad Tea Party, there are characters at the County Bounty in Town Toon as well as Mickey Mouse at his house in Toon Town. If you pick up the guide you will be able to find out for that day specific where they are scheduled and what times. If there is a specifc character that you are looking for and you can not find them on the guide, you can ask any CM to call for you as there is a phone number the CM's can call to get an entertainment schedule for the day (for any park).

LibertyBelle! You sure do know your characters! We always do character meals for our DD but for our trip next week we have none scheduled and we want to see everyone she loves (Brother Bear folks, Flik, Aurora, Snow White, Donald and others)!

Thanks for all of your knowledge...we'll get a times guide for all parks as soon as we arrive!

I don't think Snow White and the dwarves appear at Expo anymore. I haven't seen them there in ages. Snow White and Dopey do sets outside of Germany during the early afternoon. Sometimes she is at the old skyway entrance in Fantasyland.

Koda and Kenai from Brother Bear are in Camp Minnie Mickey at AK most of the day. They can also be found sometimes on the Epcot character bus.

Aurora can occassionally be found in the princess room in Toontown. Sometimes she's at the International gateway at Epcot (between England and France).

Donald is frequently on the Epcot character bus or sometimes in front of the castle. Earlier this year, he appeared out in Dinoland at AK dressed as a dino but I'm not sure if he still does that or not.

If all else fails, ask your next available CM. Character schedules can be unpredictable, and there are often last minute changes.

In MK as well you can usually find Aurora outside Tony's Town Square resturant. She is not always there but it has become a common occurance. (She was there today :) ) The characters in Town Square change frequently but today for example I saw Daisy Duck, Baloo, Pinochioo, Aurora, Aladdin, Wendy, the Country bears are usually out there. There is a great morning show at MK if you get a chance to see it they bring the characters in on the train for a show before the park opens (it is done everyday except Sunday and Thursday and begins around 8:50am). Once the park is open the characters come down from the station and are in Town Square for a good portion of the morning :)

Also the charcters from the Castle show do sign autographs after the show around the castle. So make sure to look there as well for the more popular ones :)

You can also find some random characters signing in "the teardrop" this is the area just past Mickey's House in Toon Town at the far end of the train station, it is a dead end so they use it a lot for characters. You can find some of the harder to get characters here Mary Poppins and Bert are there often along with their Penguins, Gideon (the cat from Pinochioo) The Rabbit from Winnie the Pooh, King Louie, Brer Rabbit (oh and that reminds me the characters Brer Bear and Brer Rabbit can usually be found by Splash Mountain). All the characters in this location are usually random and not listed on the times guide, but keep an eye out for them when you are in Toon Town :)

During last years MVMCP Snow White and her dwarfs were over by the old 2000 leagues ride.

We did not see them any other time.

Just FYI, if you are not staying in Disney resorts you can not get through to the train station to see the early morning train ride. I had the entire family up early to see Mickey ride in on the train, well don't you know they stopped us at the TCC. I told the CM that I had heard Mickey came in on the train. She said that unless we were staying on site or had a PS we would have to wait there, but they had something special as well. It was a joke!!!!! The family was soooo mad. The kids were upset. It was the beginning of a Not So Magical Day.

Actually the first monorail over is in time for the morning show (but ONLY the very first one). The radio call goes out stating what color monorail is the first with day guests, once that one arrives the morning show begins. I'm sorry that you missed the morning show Stacy Woods, it is really cute, unless they already had a very large crowd at the turnstile (which is entierly possible) it is for everyone, not just resort guests.

During our last trip we received lots of help from guest services in our quest to find Mulan (we had hoped to see her at breakfast at Akershus but the day we were there -- she wasn't). Guest services at our resort(WL) was able to at least point us to the right park but they were unable to give us specifics until after 12noon. But I got the feeling that in a lot of circumstances they are able to tell you where and when you can find a particular character. Anyway we asked again at guest services at MGM when we arrived there and they directed us to the CM who functions as the "handler" of the characters (now it was about 12:30 pm) and he was able to tell us when and where we would find Mulan.
And as for characters is general -- don't forget the Epcot bus (we saw Kenai & Koda and Donald & Daisy & many more) -- and with times and places all in the daily times guide.
Have fun!

Just had to ask - Is Rabbit from Winnie the Pooh a "meetable" character? You actually seen Rabbit in the parks greeting? I only seen Rabbit in the Halloween Parade. I would love to finally meet him!!! :)

I also love to meet characters at the ToonTown train station area - it's one of my favorite character meeting areas. I got some good ones there - last time I met 4 penguins at once! :) I swear, every time I see characters there it's on a Friday! Not sure if that is a pattern or what, but it seems to be the best day to check! :)

Good luck looking for characters!

Yes Rabbit has been out off and on taking photos and sining autographs. We thought that was weird as well as you never see rabbit out, but I would say in the past month I have seen him in the toon town tear drop a handful of times.

was this possibly an early entry day for resort guests only

No, it was not an EE day. Next time I will say I have a PS to get through. (I plan on having one anyway) They were not checking names there. I had read several comments about the train and how sometimes they pick kids out of the crowd to be a part of the festivities. It sounded neat. Oh well, maybe next time.

Rabbit does occasionally do meet and greets, but he's pretty random. He doesn't like to come out much (you know how fussy Rabbit it; it's hard to convince him to leave his carrot patch and come to the parks).

We stopped by the camera shop at MGM and the cm was able to tell us which characters would be appearing at the character greet around the hat and at what times. She also told us about the Monsters, Inc. characters across from the ABC Commisary and Kermit and Miss Piggy by the Muppets shop near Muppet Vision 3d. Also, don't forget about the Toy Story characters at Al's Toy Barn. Some of our best photos this trip came from MGM. Last year we did better at EPCOT but we seemed to be there at the wrong times this year. Oh - I almost forgot - Camp Minnie/Mickey at AK was really great! Really pretty backgrounds and almost no lines. Pluto was just wandering around playing with people and having fun. We got some really good photos with him.
