Hello all!:cool2:
Im going to DLRP in sep 07 with my dad,i will be 28 and my dad 56(i think!),would it be silly if we had a character tea? i really want to have my photo done with some characters and am not really one for pushing my way past loads of kids,i dont want to be made to feel like i shouldnt be there!
Will the characters come over to us as we are just two adults?
Can i book the character tea at my hotel (santa fe) when i arrive?
How much does it cost?
What yummy treats are there in the buffet? as much detail as possible please!
Do you get drinks included as well? my dad needs to have like a million cups of tea a day or he just cant function:coffee:
What time is the character tea?
Looking forward to your replies:cutie:

The characters come round every table and when we were there spent more time with those who stayed at their table than those running around after them so you'll not need to 'fight' with any kids .

You are allowed one hot and one cold drink , although I don't think they keep check too much so maybe your Dad could manage a couple of tea's.

Times change depending on opening times of the park and you can book at your hotel.

Treats include cookies, muffins , pretzels , fruit salad , apple pie, sausage rolls, bread rolls , jelly , sweets.

I'd recommend it. It's lovely:goodvibes

It's about £9 per person.

Where and when does the tea take place?

Thanks

We're booked in for 3.30pm I can't remember the time for the other choice though.
It's at Plaza Gardens Restaurant in Disneyland Park.
It doesn't matter which hotel you're staying at, anyone can book it :)

Thanks, is the Plaza Gardens walking distance from the park?

I'd quite like to go to an earlier one around 3.30pm,so thats great to know,i will book mine when i arrive. How long does it last for?pluto:

Oh it's in the park, duh! I thought it was at a hotel. Thanks for all the information, the tea sounds fun

Hi we go next weekend & we have booked the tea party. my dad will be 60 so it's a treat for his bday. he also drinks loads of tea so i'll let you know how many cups he gets a way with

We were offered 3.30pm or 5.00pm. I thought that 3.30 might clash with the parade so have gone for 5.00pm which is close to our usual time for an evening meal.

I hope you have a great time Twinton, looking forward to hearing about your character tea,i hope your Dad has a great time and drinks as many cups of tea as he can get away with!;)

Since Cafe Mickey seems ot of our price range, i think the character tea will be the solution, does anyone know whether the 3.30 or 5pm sitting is quieter? or lie mentioned aboe does either definitely clash with a parade, cos if one does i'll take the pne that clashes hoping it will be quieter! thanks
(if anyone reads this i know it's an old thread!;) ):hippie:

I don't think you need worry too much about the Character Tea being too busy, we've been twice at about 3.00pm and both times the restaurant has been full, but obviously there is a limit to the amount of people allowed in and I would imagine 99% of these are pre-prebooked - it's not a case of people arriving willy-nilly. Hope this helps.:)

great, i think i'l book the 5pm one then as it is closer to the time of our normal evening meal.
Just need to get hubby to sit on his bum for 15 mins to go over what we need to do for food each day, men:sad2:

maybe that's the approach i should take, he'll end up agreeing with everything i say anyway, after all i am the brains of the operation!!:lmao:  gotta love em eh?!

:yay:
