We ate at Chef Mickeys the night we arrived. Our PS was for 5:20 so we had only had a light lunch and were hungry when we got to the Contemporary. I was affraid we were going to be late because I didn't want to drive after spending 1 1/2 days in the car so we took the bus from POP to the MK and then monorail to the Contemporary. Worked great and we were right on time. We no sonner had our picture taken than our coaster flashed and we were seated. We had a great table on the upper level right by the glass. We could watch the characters and knew when they were getting close to our area. It was also a bit quieter up here. Now we have sat in all the areas and I really don't prefer one over the other.

Our server was attentive but not overly friendly. I was able to get my fill of the mashed potatoes and the turket was very good but I wasn't thrilled with the prime rib. It wasn't very flavorful and even my red meat loving DD wasn't impressed. I did however like the carrots. 9yo DS is in a pizza stage and filled his plate with pizza. Then he went back for peaches and pudding. LOL It was a lot of $ for the little we seemed to eat and this is the first time I have been disapointed here.

The characters were very attentive and we got good pictures. The kids have tired of autographs except for the characters they haven't seen yet so we didn't have too much time with each one. DS loved Donald so we had to visit him in the lobby. He gave him a huge hug and I have a sweet picture of them together.

We also had breakfast at Crystal Palace. Usually a late PS on an EE day works great for us but we felt a little rushed here. The food was amazing and fresh. I loved the breakfast lasagna and I was able to have the cheesy potatoes. Before we were finished eating they checnge the buffet out for lunch so we didn't get all the breakfast food we wanted. That was disapointing because we were looking forward to eating lots of breakfast. We did have plenty of OJ however wich was yummy!

Our table had a beautiful view of the castle. We were right next to the window and since people weren't waiting for lunch PS yet there weren't many peopel on the porch. The characters were the greatest. My 11 yo DD loves tigger and she got to spend some time with him and Eeyore made me feel special because he noticed I was decked out in Eeyore garb. He kept giving me hugs and acting like he was blushing. Overall this was a great character meal and we will eat here again. I'll just have to make earlier PS.

We didn't try any of the lunch food this time but we did have lunch here a couple of trips ago and it was very good.

Great review ~ Thanx for sharing.
