We are goin to do 2 character meals. Our first character meals. My problem each of my children want to eat somewhere different. My children are ages 12, 11, 8 and 1 . The one year old didn't really give his input, but his favorite tv show is Winnie the Pooh.... so I know he would enjoy the Crystal Palace. Ds, 11 wants Chef Mickey's, DD 12 wants Liberty Tree Tavern, and DD, 8 wants Cinderella's Royal Table.

Tough Decision if anyone has any opinions please advise.

Hmmm....that's a tough one. Since Chef Mickey's and LTT both have classic Disney characters, I'd choose one or the other of those based on which restaurant's theming and menu appeals more to your family. And I would probably choose CRT so that DD could see the princesses.

CP is great for little ones because they seem to really like the Pooh characters. If you just had the 1 y/o, I'd suggest going there. But a 1 y/o is going to be fine wherever you go and isn't really going to remember the trip. Older children have stronger opinions and preferences, and they'll be making lifelong memories. So I don't think I'd choose CP if it meant foregoing an older child's request.

you could randomly pick them out of hat? Thats fair, even though someone will be disappointed. Or you could say if anyone is willing to give up their choice, they could pick out an extra souvenier for themselves? Or they could choose what to do one afternoon or another non-character restaurant.

actually I had said that we would do cp in about 2 years if pooh is still his favorite then. Because I know he is not going to remember any of this. Yes I want to please the older ones, because they may soon outgrow the enthusiasm of doing a character meal.
Does LTT have goofy does anyone know?

Thanks

Correct me if I am wrong, but looking at allears LTT has all the classic characters except Mickey all the time. Chef Mickey's has Mickey, Goofy, Chip and Dale all the time and other classics vary. Correct?? Oh why couldn't Mickey be at LTT and then all my problems would be solved. LOL Can't have everything.

Not sure how I'd handle it, but just for little ones sake, I'd do CP for one of them! That's just me feeling for the littlest one...they never get a vote! My little one always has to tag along, and I feel for her! I have a 2 yr old and we are doing CP b/c I know it will be characters she will really recognize and for the photo op. Now, to be fair, my other is 5 and he will be just fine w/ them too. Guess I keep hearing about how good CP is for breakfast as well, and we are going to do it.

We are also doing CM's our arrival night, and then LTT our first night in MK.

Maybe for your daughter, you could do 1900 Park Fair...the others might enjoy that and she'd some princess' out of it.

Good luck!

I wish I could help you, but I wouldn't know which ones to pick either. We booked all 4 of those for our next trip.

We were VERy disappointed in the Chef Mickey's character dinner. We were pleased with all the others you have mentioned. We ate at them all late spring of this year. We really liked Liberty Tree Tavern, Cinderella's Royal Table (breakfast), and Crystal Palace. If I had to choose only one, it would be Crystal Palace; a very close second would be Liberty Tree Tavern. Your ds will not enjoy CRT at all, where as your princess might enjoy the characters at CP and LTT. GOOD LUCK!

I vote for CRT and LTT -

your little one will love the characters wherever - or hate them wherever and what if you go to CP just for him and he sobs thoughout!! I would definately take him out of the equation! Being the youngest with an 7 year age gap will provide him plenty of spoiling by his siblings and parents in years to come!!! ;)

We did not enjoy Chef Mickey's - I think if we had been in the front room it would have been better but we were in the back room and I felt like I was in another restaurant and the food was not that good - I also missed Mickey, and Chip coming to the table b/c I was getting food!

LTT is served family style so no one has to leave the table - I always prefer meals where I know I will be there when the characters come - I hate trying to time my buffet trips to the characters!! with 4 kids - you will have a lot of trips to the buffet - too much hassle IMO!

I called yesterday and made reservations for Chef Mickey's for our arrival day at 5:30pm. All the time slots around that time were open. I thought maybe it was because it was an early dinner time and I've read where alot of people try to cordinate cm with wishes. Now I'm wondering if I made a bad choice choosing cm.
No CRT breakfast for the whole time I'm there, lunch is available.... Does anyone know if lunch is just as good? But I think I'll save this one for next year since my DD8's friend might go with us. She would really enjoy it.
I tried for LTT to cordinate with spectromagic... only early reservations available, but the cm told me to try back in August since we'll be in the 30 day mark where alot of cancellations are made. Wondering though if this wouldn't be better. Since all the 4-5 oclock time slots were open, then maybe it won't be as crowded and better character interaction. Plus we could do this as a late lunch/early dinner .... maybe be cost saving??
Was going to leave CP out, but the kids seen some pictures posted here from other people and they think it would be fun as well. So I guess now the decision is between CP and LTT.

Thank you all so much for all your advice. It was really helpful.
